Dell Business Multimedia USB Keyboard - KB522 $10 Delivered @ Australian Computer Traders

OMGKB522

Howdy!

So decent el-cheapo corded keyboards are available.

Personally, my favourite commercial keyboard of all time, it has been a daily driver for both home and work for years.

      Brand new :)

    • Dell, yes

    OMG KB :)

  • Agree that these are a not-terrible option. Definitely plenty of better keyboards out there, but at the same time there's heaps of worse office/e-waste keyboards. The volume roller wheel is somewhat satisfying to use.

For $10 delivered you can can certainly get worst not better ones.

But if you want better sure theres plenty but it will certainly cost more.

    • The volume roller wheel is somewhat satisfying to use

Edit: aha, seller has changed the keyboard model :(

  • $52 at Dell direct, $10 here with free shipping. Good deal/offer OP!
I like that it has 2 usb ports at the back, comes in handy!

  • Does it come with the palm rest? It says it does in the description, but not in the photo….

  • Dumb question, but can I plug in a mouse on this keyboard or do I have to plug the mouse into the back of the computer?

    • +8

Im guessing you can. Working on the premise that the usb port on keyboard is just a usb hub built into the keyboard.

And no. It's not a dumb question at all.

(I have this keyboard and) I plug my mouse directly to this keyboard.

      • Can't see usb port on the key board in any of the pics or unboxing videos.

Oh , just realized it was for kb522

  • OMG KB $10

Dell used to made a SK 8135 that's pretty cool. Hope they would make a wireless version of it.

    • Using the SK 8135 right now and love it.

  • Good keyboard, we used these at uni years ago… I enjoyed using it so much I ended up buying one off ebay.

  • For a basic Dell Keyboard these were pretty good, I would always try to snag one for myself when I needed a new keyboard (before I got an MX Keys)

  • Bought one, thanks

  • Thanks got one

  • Bought one for my home server :)

  • Sorry. The following voucher code is not valid: OMGKB522.

Ah sorry, put in in voucher… it goes in discount. Got one.

  • Cheers for that. Needed a spare keyboard for my home server.

    Aw nice, got 10.

    • If new user could get further discount perhaps. A pop up said $10 off minimum $100 purchase for new users.

      • When I tried to apply the new user code it said only one code\promo at a time. (or something like that)

  • Thanks OP bought two! Don't really need it. But who can resist a $10 delivered KB.

  • Thanks OP grabbed one.

  • Looks good to me

  • OOS

  • EDIT: We have now sold out of the KB522, deal has been updated to the KB216

  • Thanks OP, just grabbed one, maybe the last one of KB522 :)

  • Great deal! Postage alone would cost ~ $10.

  • Thanks OP, got 3.

One to replace work one (exact same model) and has worked great for years.

1x for Home PC and 1x spare.

  • Surely you can pick these up on hard rubbish day at an affluent suburb.

    • Buying one dirt-cheap from a shop is a reliable method of getting one. Hard rubbish picking is a bit more eclectic.

  • Shame the KB522 is gone but look on Google $25-$30 on average for the better KB522. However who can say no to a $10 Keyboard?

  • owning a KB522, over 15 yrs, still good to work under appropriate maintenance

  • Thanks. Ordered 2. I use a wired Apple keyboard with numpad on my PC and it's my favourite keyboard ever, but if it breaks I'll need an affordable replacement with numpad. And if I need a replacement one day then I'll need another spare, so 2 will do.
