This is not as good as the previous 32GB Model Deals. But less than a month ago I purchase the white 16GB version for $638.00 Including P/H so it's a big drop :)

  • GNote2 in 3 weeks may drop even more…..

    • It will drop further, just by how much? $500 seems like a price it could plateau at; especially considering how much the SGS2 still costs after more than a year. I think October is when things could get interesting, when the Windows Phone 8 handsets, GNote2 and iPhone become available.

      • Don't forget the next Nexus.

We don't really need a new deal posted when it drops by a few dollars, do we?

    • +11

a few dollars can buy you a lot on ozbargain :)

        • -1

Just to note. This is without there discount code on the other post. Meaning: $562.42 if that coupon was still working. Thats $10 saving. That's a good saving so shhh.

        • +3

I seriously hope we're not going to see dupe posts every time something drops by $4.

That's 4 LED torches from Meritline.

Thats $10 saving. That's a good saving so shhh.

1.7% cheaper. Yay. Thanks heaps mate. Lucky you let us know otherwise we would have missed out on this normal cheaper price that will drop again in a week.

        • +3

$10 is $10. A KFC meal would be free if it was $10 off. Percentage is different, but it's still $10.

If you're on Ozbargain, then $10 is not the kind of discount you'd thumb your nose at.

        • not sure if slow or just doesn't know he's posting on ozbargain.

        • ahhh, gotta love Meritline. It makes a daily appearance on OB. :D

      • you can buy a printer for $10 on ozbargain

      You must be new here…

if you dont like the deal, why open it? It is pretty obvious the deal is for samsung s3 no? even the price is there!

      • +2

        EXACTLY, thank you!
every single person coming here to whinge is (presumably) a grown-ass adult who made the choice to pursue this link. it would have taken less time and effort to just keep scrolling, as they do with every other deal that isn't relevant

        • -2

By that logic, we may as well not have spam filters, moderating team and 'community moderating' - if its just simply a matter of scrolling past irrelevant things.
The fact of the matter is, when products experience drops like this, and they're posted every single time, then there's less chance of higher quality bargains getting the limelight. Its the same old argument we've had on Crucial M4 deals - and its understandable that people get sick of it when price drops like this are spammed.
I'm not whinging, by any means, just providing a bit of perspective.

        • -1

          @ProspectiveDarkness
That's just a pointless example. Spam is spam.

however, the posts will still be useful for people who don't check/visit ozbargains often.

like the M4 deals, I've stopped posting some 'duplicates' even though you can get it at significant discounts.

Too much whinging and negs, and it's always easy to complain than actually post something that will benefit others.

Tell me why the fap I would want to share a deal when some OCD OZbargain princess is going to chuck a hissy fit about seeing the same product >3 times in the same week?

remember, so long if it's $5 cheaper than the post 1 hour ago, it will still benefit others even you think otherwise.

however, the posts will still be useful for people who don't check/visit ozbargains often.

Irrelevant. It is not the job of OzBargain to constantly update people on the price of products, just in case they don't visit often. It is the job of OzBargain, however, to display the best bargains in Australia - uniform price drops are hardly bargains, especially considering that a few haven't even been improvements over the last deal. If these casual viewers are interested in buying this phone, then they can (a) use the search function to find the latest posted price or (b) look around themselves. Why should everyone just scroll past these deals, just for the sake of the few 'who don't check OzBargain often'? It’s an absurd claim, that we should just keep seeing this product, week after week, on the front page solely for this reason. As I said in my original post, which you so conveniently ignored, other bargains miss out on attention when repetitive deals constantly take the limelight.

Too much whinging and negs, and it's always easy to complain than actually post something that will benefit others.

I didn't realise that people were entitled to, nor no longer able to voice, their opinions. This site is comprised primarily of the comments and critical discussion revolving around each post, and you just throw around ad hominems if said views don't conform with yours? That's your opinion, and this is mine - your attempt at bullying and silencing others is just sad. Perhaps, if you don't like said 'whinging', then you can just scroll past it, eh? I also find it interesting that the persistent complaints about 'whinging', ITT, are tantamount to whinging, themselves. "Do as I say, not as I do", right?

Tell me why the fap I would want to share a deal when some OCD OZbargain princess is going to chuck a hissy fit about seeing the same product >3 times in the same week?

Unnecessary and insulting. If you can't take some critical comments about a post, then that's your problem. This is the internet, get used to it.

And you're putting words in my mouth. I never claimed that these repetitious deals wouldn't benefit anyone. I merely asserted that they weren't deserving of the attention they receive, due to their highly repetitious and uniform nature. As I explicitly stated in the beginning, it was not my intention to ‘whinge’. Indeed, whinging by definition requires persistence, and hence I was not, considering my single post on the matter.

That aside, my apologies to others for the large reply.

    thats a good price !!!

  • +1

Discount code isn't working, but nonetheless a saving is a saving and worth posting I think.:) It's cheaper than ebay (just under $600 regularly - Ive been watching for weeks!).

    • +1

The good thing about missing out on this deal is that you'll get it cheaper in a few days from Kogan or another retailer.

      • +2

yeah but you nearly die from anxiety when it doesn't drop within two days

  • has anyone tried kogans warranty process?

    • +1

I've heard they aren't too bad. A friend had a TV that the HDMI connection fell in. Was picked up the next day by courier and returned in 6 days.
