$600 The Good Guys Gift Card with $69/M 100GB/M Telstra Plan for 24 Months (in-Store & New Customer Only) @ The Good Guys

81

24 months is a long time, but assuming there's something you want at TGG, $24/m for 100Gb on the full Telstra 5G network is hard to beat.

$69 - $20 port in discount (have to separately request via chat) = $49

$49 * 24 = $1176 total cost

$1176 - 600 = $576 net

$576 / 24 = $24/m

    …oh 24 months

It was $700 just a month ago https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/754629
I won't neg as it's your first post.

  • That split second you think it’s a 12 month deal… let down

Where are the good old times that it was $500 gift card for 12 months?!?

  • Unfortunately that old good times finished.

  • Is $20 off per month port in discount guaranteed or depends on your luck? I had tried talking to 10 different live chats before and didn’t even get $10 off per month.

    • i got $10 first try like a week ago, they said the $20 offer is expired but i can give you $10

    • Are you on 12m or 24m contract? My experience tells me that its easier to get some additional discount on 12m contract with Telstra, although both are not guaranteed. I think because they know with 24m contract you already got much higher value gift card.

I got it first try - just said I was entitled to it, and they approved for 12 months. Then I complainedit was a 24m contract, and they went away to check and approved it for 24…

      • Which part of the plan says the entitlement to $20 discount per month? I am thinking to lodge a complaint with TIO if I sign up this deal and they deny it again.

It's not published anywhere. I think it's something they share via internal promotional docs.

The exact wording I used was:

Hi, I've just ported in to a new telstra mobile plan and I understand I am entitled to a $20 port-in discount

and the chat person just went away and made it happen.

          • @Dalryk: You have access to their internal promotional documents? Care to share them here? Why the hell I was told by 10 Telstra live chats that there was no such promotion?

@wtfnodeal: I am just guessing. But I used to work there and that's the sort of thing they'd do.

Officially I think the position is $10 credit for the $69 plan and $20 credit for the $99 plan. But you can find an agent that will give you $20 on the $69.

      • Yeah sure , your full of entitlement. A big problem with today's society.

    20 is bs

    • Exactly. Otherwise the OP description could be as wild as signing up a 24 months plan and earn $20 million dollars in profit. How? Just sign up the plan and separately get a lottery ticket.

  • 100gb not enough I thought it was 200gb or 300gb before.

    20 is bs.

  • You certainly need to HODL…
