  • Damn I want this for non business, instead of their sneaky 90k + 30k offer for a second full annual fee…

  • Hmmm so anyone know how much (money and time) to get an abn….

    • pretty easy,
      register online

  • Anything stopping you just registering an ABN as a sole trader and getting this one?

    • +2

I’m not sure about sole traders but for business registered as company(including single person company) - They are likely to ask you to provide your business financial details like Company tax return for past 2 years, P&L, BS etc. if your company already has a good credit history this info may not be required.

  • Does the points goes to the Qantas Business Rewards account or personal FF? Means not useful for the Points Club?

    • Qantas business account, but you can transfer them to your personal QFF

      • Point Transfer won't count for Points Club.

        • +1

          Nope, it wouldn’t.

  • Applied for this card couple of years ago, never heard back from Westpac.

    • +1

Yeah, they are a bit painful to deal with. You have to keep following up with them.

    • +1

yes. give them a call, approved straight after. It seems like someone is sitting on those applications. Need a push.

  • +1

I’m a sole trader, but when I check the “sole trader” box, it greys out the submit button (and the two subsequent options) and just says “ Please contact your relationship manager, if you have one, to seek assistance.

    • same, I guess need to call to apply?

      • +1

Having clicked through under a different category, it's clear they want A LOT of info about the business - both previous FY, and one before that.

  • Anyone knows what is the minimum income / net income requirement for the card?

  • how long does the points take to get credited?

  • Temping deal. I have a trust and a PTY I use for various billings and can use the CARD to simplify tax time and not scan so many personal card transactions.

That said, 90k upfront, and 30k after 12 months points is not great.

the points per $ spent is terrible. It's 0.75 to $1.50, so 0.5 points per dollar best case.

Have a "manager" at Westpac that "looks" after us, but it has not been easy with many of them and they change a lot). I'll see whether I can do that.
(The westpac altitude black personal card I use at home is 0.7 points per dollar spent, not great either… ok ish).

    • where did you read 90k upfront and 30k after 12m?
It's 120k in one shot after meeting 3k spend in 90days.

  • I'm a sole trader and just got off the phone to Westpac. Apparently as a sole trader I'm not eligible to apply due to the business liability conditions. What a load of BS!
