The following three Toshiba TVs are pretty cheap considering the quality and size:

They both have the following features:

3D-LED-Backlight-TV (40 Inch)/16:9

The 963 is silver and is WLAN ready (dongle required) and the 868 is black. Apart from the colour, the WIFI, and the fact that the 963 is probably a newer model and user anput 25% less electricity (better energy rating) I cannot see much difference between the two, so please do not ask me. The 46 inch TV (46TL933G) does not have a DVB-S tuner!

IF YOU BUY THE 963 or the 933 one pair of 3D glasses is free! To get it scroll down to a bit stating "Hinweise und Aktionen" and then click on "Beides in den Einkaufswagen". Then go through the normal procedure. One step before confirmation you should see the price where it should say "promotion applied". This deal with the glasses might only be valid until the end of 31 July 2012 (in Germany) - this BONUS (free pair of glasses) has now EXPIRED. TVs are still available of course

      It's just the routing UPS use to get it to you based on what's available soonest.
      
      My vac came that route. It may mean a one day delay instead of if you'd been assigned a Euro/Asia route, but you'll still get it.

    Well, I don't have anything else to compare it to…but it kills my 3.5 year old Samsung LA46A550 5 series LCD…image quality is awesome. It probably isn't as nice as a Panasonic XXST50A, but for the price I paid this rapes all.
    
    Now I gotta figure out how to reassign all the channels :S

      Pretty sure they use Australian Air Express, just chuck the ref number UPS gave you into the AAE track and trace (as a reference not consignment). I was able to find some more info out via that. Despite being on the phone for an hour (most of it hold) on their useless customer service line for them to transfer me to Startrack saying they only deliver to airports. Then Startrack to transfer me back to AAE saying the consignment number i have was an AAE one. That company really needs to work out some synergy between their two offices.

      Finally got it, kind of amusing it took 2 days longer to get from Adelaide to here.. 100 or so kms away than it took to get from Germany to Adelaide via Melbourne.
      
      Anyways PM sent, how do i get into the service menu and i'll try to get the info you need.
      
      and yeah I'm loving it.. of course its the first non CRT i've had that wasnt a pc monitor so I don't have much to compare it with but the picture is pretty damn nice.

    You must have mixed up a setting somewhere. Can you reset it and then try again? SBS is the only one that some TVs cannot get due to the frequency.

    That's right. I have a 933G with DVB-T. Europe uses 8Mhz for UHF while we use 7Mhz. SBS and 44 won't work at all with the Toshiba tuners. I will have a separate HDD based PVR anyway so I can always use the tuner in that anyway.
    
    There is no way to get Toshiba Europe TVs to tune 7Mhz UHF as far as I can see.

      Still nothing. I can get analog fine but no digital tv. Nothing comes up in autoscan and I got to manual scan and I don't really know what to do there, though I followed the directions from the toshiba manual and nothing come up either.
      
      I'm not technologically incompetent in the slightest… I think I have a dud.
      
      Any ideas or a complete step by step walk through would be nothing short of amazing :)

      If you think you have a dud e-mail Toshiba with the problem and see what they say. Everyone else seems to be fine (including myself) so maybe you are right. Shoot them an e-mail, they might be able to help you quickly. Or call them if it's free. Just tell them you recently returned from overseas with your TV and would like to know why you cannot get digital channels while your mates that have the same TV and model can. See what they say.
      
      Also check this thread and maybe e-mail the people who know how to do it.

My sister had the same problem. Just make sure you select country 'other' but more importantly, select 'antenna' NOW CABLE!! My sis selected cable (thinking, well, the antenna is a cable right….) but it didnt work. All good fro her now :)

I would say 1-2 secs. It is faster then some tv's, but slower then others. Acceptable without being annoying :)

    I am in Sydney, Auburn area. Better ask Amazon.de about the warranty(email them at their website and they reply within one day) but I can't see why the warranty won't continue. The warranty should come with the product I think, and I haven't registered the TV under my name yet.

  UPDATE: Just found out that the offer on 46inch version is because of a new line up of Toshiba TVs already launched (in UK atleast). Its called Toshiba 42VL963 and is currently the flagship model. This TV to my knowledge is not available on amazon.de as yet but I have found this review here:
