Sutton Tools INOX jobber drills are an industrial quality drilling solution specially designed for superior performance in stainless steel.

It's a specialist set specifically designed just for stainless/soft metal drilling. The compatibility table says as much, not even listing it as "suitable" for wood, plastic or plasterboard like normal HSS bits are.

For an RRP of $125 I'd be expecting split points.

For $65 you can get a set of HSS Kango drills with some kind of split point design.

Why would anyone use INOX drills for anything else than metal and stainless steel? I thought that's common sense.

      • +3

They're HSS twist drills, the average punter might assume that they're also suitable for drilling timber, just like pretty much every other HSS twist drill is.

"Kango HSS Drill Bits are designed for drilling into metal, plastic, and wood materials."

'Common sense'.. for anybody wondering.. 'inox' is literally the word for stainless steel in french

    These are ridiculously expensive….

You pay for what you get. INOX drills tend to be expensive. For $76.49 there actually cheap.

  • Are these made in oz

    • By a quick google search it looks like are made in Australia Victoria.
