    It's more likely to be wood dust compressed and glued together rather than chip board, and no chance of it being proper wood.

  You lot are absolutely amazing arent you ? It is a shit product ..so is most of ikea and fantastic furniture.. but you buy it nonetheless don't you ? OP here posts this deal with a coupon which I have no idea how she/he found but that makes this thing waaay cheaper than what it is being sold locally ..still you lot complain ? Why is that could one of you please explain why is it that you complain instead of not buying and moving on ? You do not like it ..do not buy it ..why comment on a product which you do not own and is being presented at a discount because someone was kind enought to share ?

  Customer service on a bookshelf..well I have never needed one ..Actually never on any self assembled cheap furniture .. I bet none of the commenters have tried to make a bookshelf from bunnings particle boards otherwise they wouldve been all over this .. well it is a steal kids.. trust me.. Firstly I have made bookshelfs of similar dimensions secondly this kind of design cannot be made with regular wood because it would be exorbitant price wise ..thirdly I have tried so I know what I am talking about .. 62 dollars delivered .. laser cut particle board with zero instructions and nothing matches up and you struggle to put it together.. still is a bargain these days
