  • This or 5600X / 5700X?

    Building a 6700XT setup for 1080p gaming.

You shouldn't be getting this if you have a dedicated GPU, the 5600G has inbuilt graphics.

5600 is probably ideal, I wouldn't bother with 5600x or 5700x you won't notice much difference, don't get the 5600g though performance is similar to 5500 (much worse)

    • If I remember correctly, the 5000G series is limited to PCIe Gen3, which is definitely sub optimal if you're going with a higher end GPU or want to make the most of Gen4 SSDs.

    • 5600 non X … There's next to no different to the X version. 5600G is good for media server ..office desktop etc gaming is fine unless U get CPU bound then the X and non X versions are much better. With a 6700XT and 1080p I'd definitely go with the better CPUs … Not sure if there will be more sales but I got a 5600 for less than this late last year.

Was $189 on pcbyte for quite some time just before this 'sale' heh

  • Kinda OK iGPU for casual gaming, but not 3A games.

Great for building kids a budget machine.

I checked the guru3d review not much difference but having decent IGP in an emergency is great
