      Most likely bank flagging it.

  • I have the ultimate kids and him voucher, is there a way to use those cards to buy this apple voucher? With discounts

    • +3

      Of course not lol

    • +1

Sell them to others, then buy this.

  • Purchased 2k for the upcoming MacBook Air 15.2” hopefully it’ll be enough

    • It won't be. Considering it's $1,899.00 for the base M2 model now, the 15.2" will be a good deal more.

      • I think the 15” will be priced in between the base M2 Air and the base M2 pro. So if base M2 air is 1900 and base M2 pro is 3200 I would expect the 15 to be in the 2200-2500 range. I hope I’m wrong though

        • Seems a decent guess, keep this in mind to reduce the cost -https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/751780

  • Do I need a mac to redeem?
How do I do this from a windows PC?

    • too hard… just did it from my iphone instead… Kind of sad it doesn't just work as smoothly from my laptop

      • +1

I can't believe that this still works… and that I am talking to myself

        • +1

Everyone else gorged on giftcards my man xD

to answer your questiom, i think you need itunes installed on PC, as the link seems to want to open an app

          • @Bob Loblaw: yeah thanks. I never liked iTunes so didn't bother. I tried it on my iPhone and it works fine
I am regretting already that I didn't upgrade to 16GB ram on the Mac mini I bought but at a third more it seems ridiculous… aggh apple

            • @choofa: I don’t think it’s as simply as Apple plugging in another 8GB.

              • @Eeples: Yeah, its definitely not upgradable, so I am just wondering how long it will be before 8GB is just not enough.
But, I've been watching a few user reviews and even though most suggest buying with 16GB they all say the base 8GB model actually works really well and only gets laggy on really heavy workloads, so I don't think this will bother me at all.

iTunes and it's easy to redeem, just click the card in the email the hyper link will open iTunes and auto enter the number + redeem. I redeemed 10 cards within a few minutes.

      • 10 cards! Thats impressive. I thought I was going a bit mad spending nearly $2k in the last week on this and afterpay ebay deals

        • Maybe they were just 10 x $20 cards?

  • +2

I just spent a whole bunch of money that I really wasn't planing on spending… on nothing, yet… gawd feels a bit scary lol

    • How much?

      • +1

        Their entire life savings.

        • +1

Can confirm. Am apples new CEO, just bought the entire company at 15% discount.

          • @Larsson: Yeah right, even if the entire Apple company is at 99% discount, I still cannot afford it :(

            • @edfoo: I can effort to buy Apple at about 0.00000002% of their total value

              That’s nice

  • nice.

  • Payment details screen doesn't seem to load for me :( Buying 2 x $500

Try making the purchase through your mobile and not on your computer.

      • Thank you so much! Using my mobile worked!

  • Price matched Harvey Norman 14 inch m2 pro 16g/512g by calling 13 MAC, $319 saving plus the 15% off deal for a total of $2448

    • It comes up as $2878 for me at Harvey Norman

    • -2

do Harvey Norman accept Apple Gift cards for apple products?

      • +1

        I don't think so

However, just ask the apple line to do a price beat. Usually, they only do like the same price as Harvey or maybe extra off but sometimes they are willing to do the 10% of RRP.

Just ask and see what happens. Be nice to them and they might help you with it.

        ^ From experiences

        • What did u end up getting?

          • @eckers19: Hi

So I price beat an iPhone 14 pro max 256 for $1899.10. Using the Harvey norman prices and asking if they are willing to do 10%. Took 2 tries for it to work.

I wanted to wait for iPhone 15 but I'm upgrading from an iPhone 6s. The phone laggy and battery is horrible after many years

            • +1

@[Deactivated]: That’s really good. Also very impressive your 6s lasted that long

Can I buy apple MacBook Air from JBHIFI by using these cards??

    • +1

No, you can only purchase through Apple.

  • Is this deal / promo still going?

    • +1

Yes, I believe today is the last day.

      • Thanks. Can I use the gift cards on the Edu website to buy an iPad Air & pencil

        • Definitely :)

          • @doweyy: So the gif Arda.com.au site is legit? I need $1368 worth. So can I buy 2x $500, 1x $300? Over two transactions? And can I do all this on my Mac. Rather than iPhone? Thanks again

            • +1

@PredatorvsAlien: 100% legit, the deal wouldn't still exist if it was fake :)

You could purchase 2x$500 and 1x$368 card over two transactions if you wanted (benefit of it being eligible on variable load), that will cover your whole amount. You can do it on your Mac and put your details in at checkout and the cards will be sent to your email.

You can then redeem your gift cards at apple.com/redeem into your Apple ID account, and then use it to login on the education store. Apply your account balance to the purchase at checkout and order.

              • @doweyy: Thanks heaps. Doesn’t look like there is anymore discount on the Adelaide edu site Vs standard apple edu site for these iPad airs & pencil. Can I also use shopback or cashrewards to buy from the edu website? Any other discounts I’m missing, trying to save as much as possible lol

                • +1

@PredatorvsAlien: Yeah seems as though all Edu stores have the iPads for the same price, so you're best to get it off the normal Edu store and should be able to stack with CR or SB just fine.

For the Apple Pencil (I'm assuming 2nd Gen), you're actually better off calling the Apple Sales line on 133 622 and asking them to match Amazon/JB and paying with your account credit over the phone. The Edu stores haven't got the pencil discounted it seems, so this will save you >$30 doing the price match hopefully.

                  • @doweyy: Thanks again. Looks like pick up from an Apple Store is faster than delivery and seems that with free engraving in only a week. Wonder if that’s right. Only concern with pickup at Apple Store is will they ask / check for proof of being a student or education staff

                  • @doweyy: The iPad Air 256 GB is only $80 cheaper at 1,169 at the Edu store compared to full retail. Guess there isn’t anywhere else to get a better deal when combined with 15% off apple gift cards?

And the pencil gen 2 is $20 cheaper. So yeah, if I can get apple to price match Amazon or JB hifi that’s $50 cheaper.

                  • @doweyy: Called Apple sales but the girl I spoke to said the best they could do was 10% off $219 for the Apple Pencil gen 2, at 197.10. So JB Hifi is cheaper at $169. Anyone had luck with getting Apple to price match?

  • +1

how do you check your apple gift card balance on iphone?
is that via itunes? can you see or move it to wallet?

i found the answer to my question, just sharing to fellow noobs like me.

    Check your Apple Account balance
To see your balance, use the App Store. Or on a PC, use iTunes for Windows.

Check your balance on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch
    Open the App Store app.
Tap your photo, initials or the sign-in button at the top of the screen. You may be asked to sign in with your Apple ID.
The balance of your account will appear. If you don't see an amount, you don't have a balance.
Check your balance on your Mac
Open the App Store. If you can see the sign-in button at the bottom of the sidebar, click it and sign in with your Apple ID.
If you have a balance, the amount appears below your name. If you don't see an amount, you don't have a balance.

  • Does anyone know for physical Apple Store pickups if they ask / check for proof of being a student?

    • +1

from what I've heard they do not ask

  • The iPad Air 256 GB is only $80 cheaper at 1,169 at the Edu store compared to full retail. Guess there isn’t anywhere else to get a better deal when combined with 15% off apple gift cards?

And how often do these 15% discounts come up in a year

    • +1

I think this is the first time Apple GCs are available at 15% discount and so readily available. No one knows when will this sale happen again, so buy now if you plan to buy Apple products soon.

      • Ok, but Apple 15% GC’s get offered, a couple of times a year?

Might get an iPhone 15 pro max, but I have a 13 pro max. So maybe I’ll wait next year for a 16 PM..

        • +1

Generally when it's a bigger discount like this you have to jump though a number of hoops to get the discount. This is the first time where it's been a straightforward 15% discount.

  • Getting payment errors on the final screen, maybe over? :(

    • People have gotten them throughout the promo - some cards have issues with the verification. Try a different card.

      • Used a gmail email address and it worked! (didn't work with yandex for some reason)

  • Can i buy it tomorrow or today is the last day?

    • I'm pretty sure today is the last day

  • +1

📱 iPhone 15(% off) come September anyone? 😁

Purchased $3,000 worth Saturday night in 3x separate $1,000 transactions ($500 variable load added twice). Paid via debit card using iPhone Safari.

Was quite surprised it worked all as well as it did although I did get one payment error that said to ring support when paying by card for the second transaction but just clicked back I think or simply retried the card payment and it worked fine.

Emails come fairly quickly (within 5m). One gift card email took a little longer but still within 10m.

    • +1

I would get the iPhone 15 but esim a big no no for me personally.

    • exactly why I bought mine.

are you guys claiming into your apple account or leave it as a gift card in your e-mails?

  • One last order

    • Most painful 20 mins left

      • +1

I find it so bizarre this still isn't sold out they must be printing gift cards like money

        • Inflation is out of control. They'll take the hit now as long as they can keep you in the ecosystem.
You can't go anywhere else because you got 3 grand in Apple dollars.
Consumer spending will plummet eventually as long as interest rates keep rising.

  • Gave in and purchased 2x $500 in the last 15 minutes of the promotion. Couldn't stop myself … Ozbargainers gonna bargain …

  • WTF! This deal is still going past midnight.

Must resist buying my last 2x500…

    • +1

hahaha all those, "if i can just wait until midnight for the deal to expire, then i wont be tempted anymore!"

      • It was still working around 6AM this morning.
Now they have finally killed the 15% discount.

  • Was able to place enough to buy a refurbish iPad Air 4th gen after 12am Sydney time.

    • Is that the 256gb model? $909

      • +1

Yep, brought it down to $772.65

        • Cool… Decision is a bit tough between 64gb Gen 5 new or 256gb Gen4 refurb! Only $9 difference!
          M1 chip over storage?

          • +1

@alterego13: I was tossing and turning over it, but I bit the bullet on the older model because of the storage. I've got an iPhone and it's struggled with 128GB, so I was swayed by the storage.

Storage also sold me because I'll be using it for media and minor GoPro footage editing before editing on a PC. As I often go on flights overseas, having the storage to download movies from streaming services suits me best.

            • @chet: Perfect for your use case then.
I'll be using mine for work mostly using procreate/morpholio trace/autocad viewer and the likes. Primarily for client meetings to markup the drawings etc..and to show photos for ideas. Some note taking on work desk too.. essentially the first step towards a paperless office.
So it's a bit of both for me haha!
M1 for the longevity and high storage to store photos/files..which I guess can be worked around with cloud storage/usb c external drive? But it is essentially a compromise.
Ugh! It doesn't have to be this difficult haha!

              • +1

@alterego13: It's actually such a hard decision. My partner bought an iPad 9th gen for her mum because the price was just so cheap, and she'll just be browsing Facebook and using it for video calls. That was also an option for me, but the lightning port lost it for me, especially since I bought enough to cover the cost of a 15 Pro later this year.

                • @chet: Yeah, that's where I started my selection dilemma! looking at the price of $425 with all the discounts..the iPad 9th Gen was a no brainer as it fit my budget of $500 max.
Then I dug deeper…and here I am sitting at ~$800 undecided! lol

  • Purchased iPad Air 256 $1249 for $1169, less 15% for $993.65. via Cashrewards 1.5%, not sure if it will be honored. But 20% off retail ain't bad. Thank you all for your help. Esp @doweyy

Tomorrow gonna ring Apple sales and see if they will price match JB/Amazon for the Apple pencil 2nd gen

1.15am Wed 22/03 and the offer is still available by the looks…

  • Still accepting orders at 2:10am.
    Thanks OP

  • Well that was a great run! Haha.

  • Hope there is another deal like this again. I had fun hoarding the GCs. This deal should be the deal of the year on OzB.

    • -1

It's a good deal but no way a deal of the year. Not everyone buy Apple products.

      • Well, not everyone buy the product from the ‘best’ deal.
Just like not everyone is interested in getting their free burgers from Maccas, $10 off Pizza Hut, join Turkey Netflix etc.

        • Exactly, not everyone is interested in every deal in OzB here.
Probably only Apple fanboi would consider this the deal of the year.
Btw I am an Apple user myself.

  • +1

    Thanks OP.

Just received my brand new M2 Mac mini.

Haven't used Mac in a decade but for can't say no for $680!

    • Explain your maths please.
