I expect stock to sell out quick.

    • +3

Can you use this for like laptops or just lame things only?

      • +1

Yes, you can use these to buy electronics too..

      • +7

You could get lots of magic cleaning cloths.

        • +3

          What about wheels?

    • Still going strong

    • Still going!

    • +1

3 days later still going. Apple or coles preparing for economic winter? Lol

  • +4

Price match this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/762406 at the apple store.

    You can get an iPhone 14 128gb for $1147! ($850 for a $1000 gift card + $297 remainder)
Probably the best deal so far on an iPhone 14?

  • Can you buy over $1,000 in multiple transactions, for example buying two $1,000-giftcard in two transactions and paying $1,700 for them?

    • +1

      Curios to find out too

I don’t see why not. There is no log in or sign up to the website. So I guess the only way they can track (if they do) is through credit card details.

If it lets you pay at the final payment screen at $850 for $1000 value then just rinse and repeat.

I would probably go incognito mode to do this though.

    • I just got $2k in 2 transactions (4x $500). Note you can only use up to 8 ($4000) per transaction.

    • +1

      Bought $2,000 in two transactions.
      First transaction: 2x $500
      Second transaction: 2x $500
Received tax invoices for both in email.

      • Can i buy i phone 14 pro max with multiple gift card..[500×4]

        • +1

Yes, you just top-up the giftcard to your apple account.

      • ordered and received tax invoices but no gift card details were attached. Do they send them separately?

        • Yes

      • Hi UnnecessarySpendings, I did the same as you did and got the tax invoice, however only received one lot of cards so far.

Have you got all the cards issued?

        cheers

  • +1

Can these be stacked when buying from apple? What is the limit?

    • If you're purchasing from the online Apple store, then you can add multiple to your appleid account balance (up to $5000 I think).

From memory I think you can also use you apple balance when purchasing from them over the phone, just not in-store.

      • Can’t you buy apple products instore using balance?

      • +2

You can definitely use the balance to buy instore.
Purchased mine Jan-23 using balance from last GC deal

      • +1

There is a maximum amount of gift cards you can use on a single purchase on the Apple Store, Maximum 8 cards a single purchase. https://www.apple.com/au/shop/help/gifting

        • +3

If you deposit the amount into your Apple ID, should be able to avoid this restriction.

  • +3

    Noice…😎 but I can’t wake up at 7..

    • Then, I guess you're not going to bed. Stay up butter cup.

    • +2

try being in WA - 4AM!

  • $1000 Max

Okay. How will they differentiate customers? By credit card?

    • the honor system

      • As I’ve always said, the honor system doesn’t include U, so just let it rip. First come, first served, served, and served again. If you need to know any of the more nuanced details of the honour system, Broden is one of our finest proponents

  • +1

What is the expiry date for this card?

  • +2

There doesn't seem to be a way to create an account on this site, ready for pre-population of all data.

Otherwise, by the time you fill out this form: https://www.giftcards.com.au/ShoppingCart/Checkout
    it is sold out. :-(

  • Thanks. I'll stock up.

apple gift cards - Considering recent events, it's safer than keeping your deposits in the bank!

    • +1

And lock your money in to apple products only?

    • definitely lose money with inflation earning 0% vs the non existent risk of losing money in a bank run in australia, big brain idea that

  • Sleepless night it is.

  • Can be used when buying through apple education store?

    • +1

Yes, I did it in Nov 2022

    • +1

Yes. egift card is online only

  • So that’s 6am for the Brisbane time??

  • Will apple price match JB (eg, when they are doing like 100-150 discount for iPhone)?

    • -2

      They never

    • Yes they do, a maximum of 10% off is what they can price match.

  • Stupid question for the day, is it $1000 card face value, or how much in total you pay ie. $1176 in card value = $1000 in total paid with the diacount?

Non stupid question for the day, is it one card, or do you have to buy multiple as there is a cap on the variable amount you can load on each card?

    • +2

      Solved, $500 max per card.

  • +1

    3 orders 3k possible?

  • -2

Do I need to create an account to buy this, or I can buy it as a "guest"?

    • -1

can you create an account? lol

      • +1

No idea. Never bought any GCs from that site so I don't know how it works. Haha

        • +1

are you too scared to look at the site?

          • @[Deactivated]: Yep! Shivering with anxiety. I better go to bed before I pass out. :D

OK, jokes aside, have just checked and there's nowhere to create an account, so I stand corrected.

  • Have to keep some for tax return. Thanks

    • What do you mean? I don't think you can claim Apple gift cards on tax…

      • Na, he’s right

I used gift cards to buy a macbook for the business last year. The accountant recommended that I saved the invoice from the gift cards purchase, just in case..

Btw I don’t know why someone would neg his comment lol

  • +1

Always loading with payment page, anyone else got the same issue?

    • same here

    • +1

Was able to order twice - though only see 1 transaction on my credit card and 1 email
EDIT: got my second email but still 1 transaction on my credit card

      • congratulations! you have found a loophole
5 identical orders on the same card / 5 emails = 1 transactions

        • Second transaction came through my credit card, loophole too great to be true

  • Thanks OP, got it
    2 separate transactions $1k each

  • Yeah, I keep getting "Transaction failed, please contact customer service" too.

    • I got this too with my CBA MasterCard. It fails on that security challenge where they send you a 2FA code by SMS or app. Tried with my Amex card and the challenge appeared and worked.

Now just waiting to receive the gift card codes.

  • Smooth transaction. Thanks OP.

  • Order 2k worth for a new laptop, awesome! Thanks OP

    • +1

Yes. Mine arrived 5 min later

        Yep got em now, cheers

      • Actual gift card or invoice? I got invoice but not gift card

        • Yeah, I haven’t got mine either. Only tax invoice so far. Has been 15 mins

  • Payment details loading forever

    • +1

I had the same issue, but it fixed after a few refreshes. I also turned off my VPN and adblocker.

      • turning off adblocker helps, thx!

    • disable your Ad blocker

    • If you are using Ublock Origin, that was the cause of my eternal payment details loading issue.

  • -1

Looks like it’s out of stock, transactions not going through

  • Had issues with chrome browser on my mobile (kept crashing at payment). Used samsung browser and payment went through.

  • much easier to place an order sucessfully compared with Post gc last year

  • If you get Transaction failed, please contact customer service just change to a different credit or debit card and it should work

    • Tried 3 cards, none worked

      • It failed once for me out of 3 times

    • tried like 4 cards two banks - no luck :(

      • Tried two cards: cba and nab. Both show "Transaction failed, please contact customer service."

      • +1

It looks like they don’t accept debit cards. I tried three debit cards and none worked, but the credit card got the job done.
Note how the pay button says “pay with credit card “…

        • Really?

        • No I paid with debit card and got an error on the second gift card transaction during the 2FA challenge. Just try the same card again, worked for me.

  • First time I got a failed transaction. Worked fine the second time (same card).

Both were charged to my card. I got two tax invoices.

    • The second transaction was blocked by my bank but then got charged thrice and received three invoices. Only wanted to buy 2k for iPhone 🤔

      • If you get 3rd one, can buy off from you😜

  • Next button not working for me. Ya'll broke it!

    • I worked out adguard home blocks their payment thingy by default so I used cellular

      • It worked 10min after i posted

      • Saved me, thank you Z80!

  • Transaction failed with AMEX and but other cards worked

  • worked on Chrome, not on Firefox

  • Worked on Chrome, not on Edge for me. Otherwise it was Transaction failed all day long.

  • Just bought on Safari with Amex. Thanks OP!

  • +1

Can you do $1000 multiple times? $500 4 times + $99? I want to get the iPhone max pro for $2099

  • Only received the tax invoice but no gift cards. May I know how long you get your GCs after invoice email

    • +1

Says on the order page Receive within 4 hours or on a day of your choice

    • Approx 5 minutes

      • 10 minutes have gone past and still nothing…

        • +1

I got my first one after 5 minutes 2nd one I haven’t got it yet

  • Worked smoothly on iPhone Safari paid with Westpac CC.

  • Worked well on Safari. Got another transaction with a same CC.

    • Next button stopped working on desktop Safari (Incognito).

      • It happened to me for the 2nd one, but just refresh the page and it worked.

  • Works for 2k just got it saving it for pro max later when I go overseas

  • said payment failed. but tried again with same card and went through.

  • Bought 2x$500 in the second try. First went failed because of my bank rejected the transaction. Got a confirm purchase text from bank and approved it's my purchase then it went through on the second try.

  • You cannot use autofill for your credit card details else you’ll get “System Error”. Must type the details manually….

    Thanks OP!!

    • Worked for me with auto-fill

  • Works on safari. Bought twice

  • -10

Lol at all the sheep thinking they saving buying 2k phone

    Remember when phones were 1k?

    • +1

You still can buy a $100 phone, even cheaper.

      • -4

They all sound so happy saying 2k 2k, dummies will be saying 3k in less 10yrs

    • Sad to see a life like this. Really.

      when 3k$ bothers you.

    • -2

I remember when iphones were $600. Look at the sheep buying phones for 1k. Doesn't even realise it

  • Just ordered on my phone. It went through though was a bit slow in loading the web pages.

  • Bought 2x$500 using Edge and Amex. It works. Thanks OP

checked out using Citibank (/NAB) and it went through

    • Ordered gone through at 7 on the dot.

      • +1

cool, started at 7am on the dot
not having any luck checkout with CBA NetCode :/

    • Same here. Tried both on Firefox and Chrome (some people suggested it worked on Chrome) and still no luck after 30 minutes. Gonna call it quits. Probably that's for the better.

  • Payment only worked once per credit card.

Got invoices but no GC yet…

  • Bought $7000 worth in 7 transactions using my Coles MC. Still waiting to receive 12/14 gift cards (only received 2 so far). Purchased on my iPad using Brave.

    • what are you buying lol

      • +2

A new Macbook Pro combined with salary sacrifice :D

      • One monitor costs more than that…

    • Wait does anyone know if there's a limit to how many gift cards can be USED in a transaction with Apple? I got burnt HARD on this with GoodGuys only accepting 2 cards max per transaction, that really messed up a big deal for me.

      • It’s maximum 8 but you can add them to your Apple account balance and redeem that on the order… I think. Will find out soon.

If not I’ll resell iPhones later this year :P

      • You can add this giftcard to your apple account balance upto $5000 - and use this balance checkout thru apple store.

  • Have tried on two different browsers (Firefox and Chrome) and still keep getting transaction failed. And I only got one card. Looks like Apple doesn't need my money. Time to hit the sack. Enjoy everyone who successfully purchased.

  • +1

Still haven’t received any gift cards. It’s been 25 minutes……

    • +1

      same

    • I started to worry if its a scam now…

      • +2

Can take 4 hours. It’s from Coles group, doubt it’s a scam.

    • I ordered at 7.05 am and got the voucher at 8.02 am

  • Thanks op bought 2x$500. Much easier than getting ultimate gift converted! Used Amex, first time failed but worked second time

  • Tried twice for $1000- 2 x transaction failed :(

    • Change card

      • It's the only card, so no?

        • You miss out then, not sure why it doesn’t work. Worth getting a backup (even if a debit card). Try UP totally free online bank out with virtual gift card.

          • @fozzie: Cheers, will look it up

  • How many cards can we use if purchasing an Iphone in 1 transaction? For example if it's $1399, can I use 2x $500 + 1x $400?

    • +1

      • Thanks boss then I will need another $400 one.

  • +1

bought 3k for me and my gf. 1k max each time. Had to tried 7 times altogether.
    1st time Westpac card worked.
    2nd time CBA card worked.
3rd time Citi main card failed.
4th time Citi supp card failed.
5th time CBA again failed after filling in Netcode - my gf got charged and an invoice via email from Coles for this one, not sure how it's gonna be - either she's bought an extra 1k or they're gonna cancel it.
    6th time Suncorp card failed.
7th time Westpac card again failed - but I got a text from Westpac saying they blocked my card as it was suspicious transaction. I replied Yes to confirm it is genuine. Then I tried again (8th time???) and it wen through.

All were done on Chrome. No igconito. Using 3 emails. Same Address and numbers.
Note Citi and Suncorp cards are issued by NAB and no texts from them regarding block - unlike Westpac.

    • +1

update: sooooo the 5th time above even though it "transaction failed" on the website, we ended up getting the extra 1k….
So ya'all with failed transactions after putting in your netcode will potentially get your extra unwanted giftcards.
Hope someone won't be out of budget this month. Or next.

  • Thanks OP!

  • +1

My payment went through but I only received the tax invoice, and no gift card yet…

    • Took 26 minutes for mine to come through! Hang in there…..

      • Thanks for the positivity!

        • I got the gift cards abit over an hour after receiving the invoices

  • Commbank cards keep failing at loading the NetCode verification page. Tried uBank debit and went through straight away.

  • How come on the Coles website
under Get 15% Off Apple eGift Cards
    the Shop now button
brings you to giftcardstore.com.au instead ?

    It should be www.giftcards.com.au
stated on the T&C section on the coles website.

    • wow you're right. That's concerning.

    • What does this mean?

    • It’s an error on the Coles website for whoever created the carousel page as I original noticed when finding this deal. It’s definitely supposed to be giftcards.com.au as per the terms and this deal working.

      • So this one is not scam hey?

        • Definitely not, giftcards.com.au is one of the longest running gift card providers out there. They originally sold Coles Myer gift cards for a long time and expanded to partner gift cards in the last few years.

It’s just an error by the coles dev who made the link.

          • @doweyy: yeah agree Coles dev put another website not knowing their own group's website lol someone from Coles here? please alert your dev.

      • They seem to have fixed it now.

  • Ordered 2x $500. Thanks OP

  • All done - 3 x (2x$500) cards - separate names and credit cards. All went through. All ready for iPgone 15 launch. 15% off is the best we'll get I reckon. Thanks to the OP

  • Stupid question, can I buy the gift card, use it to buy an iPhone in store whist trading in my current iPhone? And if my gift card value aren’t enough, will they accept me paying the remaining amount in a different payment methods? Thanks

    • +1

Yes, you can combine multiple payment methods.

    • +1

Gift card is treat as cash, you can pay reminder with other payment.

  • has anyone got the cards yet

    • Someone said they got 2/14. Give it a few hours, their system is getting slammed most likely

    • Got 2 out of 10.

Edit: just got another 2, about 40 mins after the first 2. So looks like they're slowly working through them.

Edit2: have received all 10 now.

    • got 4/5 coming in slowly

  • Just dropped 2K on gift cards wtf. Thinking Mac Mini M2 base with 16GB RAM upgrade and using SSD adapter. What else should I get?

  • -4

I wouldn't get baited into buying these cards. The TCN and ultimate cards went on sale for 15% off multiple times. There is literally 0% discount at Apple stores and you'll still end up paying more. JB will at least price match or give you a deal but Apple won't.

    • +5

Combine with AOC store my friend :)

      M2 Mac mini for $676

      • Yeah, this is good if you’re buying something discounted from AOC

      • Combine with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez?

        • +1

Too much American in you, not enough OzBargain

    • Why not? You can also pay subscription as well.
Also, Apple have 2 weeks of no questions ask return.

      • -3

Subscriptions are not really a valid savings with giftcards. If you really wanted to pay a fraction of most subscriptions you'd find a way via VPN or paying via other currencies.

If you haven't opened the item JB or almost every store will take a return 99% of the time.

        • I was just giving out different options dude, relex.
You can also price match at Applestore if major retailer runs sale and you talk nicely.

I pay Mrs Applecare+ using giftcard, and don't metion H&C that is different thing.

I know VPN other country profile methods for Netflix, Disney+ etc. and I also run them for years.

          • @lufee: If you can price match 100% I would go with Apple. From what I've heard it's a hit and miss and Apple does not have a price match policy. I retract my comment if I am proven wrong otherwise.

            • @thousandsuns: Their policy is that they price match up to 10%. iPhone recently released are excluded for a few months.

    • I thought the same too. I was in the checkout ready to buy x2 500 gift cards. Then realise, I’ve always got my Apple products price matched in other retail stores and never in apple.

      • I had Apple customer service price match my MacBook Pro and my iPhone 13 mini.

    • Do you know Apple always price match by just giving them a call?

    • you obviously haven't asked Apple for a price match before…also a discount to streams paid via iTunes

    • I had the same thought why should I buy without discount from apple. I can tell you if you try to do any warranty claim with JBHIFI , it is a shit show. Warranty repairs in QLD (unsure about the rest of the states) are handled by their 3rd party Apple authorised repairer (for most of their producs apparently, some do go direct back to apple) which is really abysmal in terms of quality of work (had a defective macbook pro brand new, send for warranty repairs/assessment, returned in scratches and took them 2 months). Attempting to do warranty/assessment work directly with Apple is useless as JBHIFI won't acknowledge their repair/assessment work and will want you to go through their own repairer again if you attempt any warranty claims. Baffling.

So I have stopped recommending friends/family from buying from JBHIFI unless it is like 30% and above discount (clearance discount which officeworks does sometimes on older product models )

Anyway personal experience only. The extra 10% savings during JBHIFI sales period is not worth the hassle for me anymore moving forward.

      • -1

I suppose that's your own personal experience via how you wished to tackle it. I have a dead iPhone of over 2 yrs and I still took it directly to Apple rather than JB. They sort of looked after me. Not sure why you would go to JB anyways.

      • Exactly. I buy all my Apple stuff directly from Apple!

Some rare times I’ve had a new item fail Apple just replace it on the spot - won’t happen otherwise.

        • -1

Under what grounds are Apple doing something so special for you that no one else will do? If you purchase warranty they will look after you. Whether you buy the product of JB or any other place is irrelevant because warranty is tied to the manufacturer not the seller. That's why they call it Apple care. Don't be misconstrued with your understanding of customer rights and warranty regulations.

          • @thousandsuns: I should have given more context,

Basically there was a defect in my Macbook Pro and Apple was unable to fix it (I was still within my 1 year warranty period and even have apple care) . As I did not buy it directly via Apple , I was told to go back to JBHIFI and process the refund/return. I was given a repair assessment by Apple and told to give this to JBHIFI.

JBHIFI refuse to accept Apple repair assessment note and wanted to send my product to their own 3rd party repairer. I complied as it was their process even though I had a note directly from Apple.

Long story short. JBHIFI took apart my macbook pro, fail to fix the issue, and receive it in a worst condition(deep scratches on the body of the macbook pro) and refuse to process my refund till I inform that I will be reporting to ACCC (all this took about 3-4 months back and forth between Apple and JBHIFI).

That is a long downtime considering I was using my macbook pro for work purposes.

            • @georgegates5: And yes you can invoke your consumer rights , etc… but when you are using something for work daily … the last thing you want is to ping pong between Apple and a retailer just to get this sorted =_= as it is really time consuming.

  • How long is the apple egift card valid for?

    • -1

      It says “while stocks last”

    • +1

      No expirly

    • indefinitely

      • +2

With banks going the way they are better off putting money in Apple credits lol

        • They put money in Apple and Apple put money in the bank. Same consequence.

  • Is there anyway to combine these with a trade in of a Samsung Galaxy S21U?

  • received nothing but 5 invoice. the oldest is 41 mins

    • Also received an email but still waiting

EDIT: got it almost an hour and a half

    • got 6/10。 then nothing for 40 mins.

remaining $2000 has been 90 mins since received tax invoices.

ordered using same email, name, address, credit card

      • received 10 of 10

  • So we could buy from the Apple online store for hardware with these, correct?

    • yes also offline as well

      • What's max cards usable at register though? Good guys burnt me hard by only accepting up to 2 cards per transaction a while back online.

Does Apple online store accept more than 2 cards?

        • +2

You can store them into your Apple ID and use them

        • +1

You can load up your apple account with giftcard, think 4000 was max

        • You can use up to 8 GCs on the Apple website, if you don't want to load them into your Apple ID.

  • My debit card got rejected. Giving up

  • Correct. Just add the cards to your Apple ID balance.

  • Those paying with credit cards, does this count as a cash advance?

    • Hell no

    • +2

nope. This is just like purchasing a standard issue gift card in store.

      • Thanks, can confirm I didn't get charged a cash advance fee either.

  • 80 mins later tax invoice email but no gc 😭

  • I can't seem to check out darn it.

    • I've tried my PC at home with adblock off and another PC literally in another building I have RDP to and it won't work there, the checkout looks busted now.

      • Tried on phone different IP again, got further.

"Transaction Failed, please contact customer service"

        • Finally, same again, with another card (Both Bankwest Master)

          I suspect it's hosted.

  • +2

Pity I have accumulated too much balance of these after doing a refund of an iPhone recently… decided to pass up on this otherwise great deal on Apple gift cards. It's been a long time since I've seen >10% AND an actual discount to face value (vs equivalent in points).

    • applegiftcardpins.txt

  • Longest 4 hours in my life

    • You worry too much.

  • +1

Took 1 hour 5 minutes for delivery :)

  • Still stock!

Just keep trying to process payment!

Failed on BOQ debit card but worked with the Macquarie debit card

    • Exactly the same! Thank goodness for Osko payments!

  • Did two orders 40 mins apart. Invoices received for both but no gift cards yet. First order went in about 45 mins ago.

Edit: first two cards arrived around 90 mins after ordering.

  • +1

Transaction failed, please contact customer service.

    3 cards, 1 go through 2 failed,

Westpac one is good, but both commbank card failed

Scratching my hairs off! Calling the customer service right now.

  • Woohoo here I come IPHONE 14 PRO MAX

    • Gonna get that phone too but Im waiting till I go oversea then i can also claim GST back so massive saving

      • Nice one I have to remember that for next time 👍🏽

      • Would you be bringing the phone back?

Not sure if people do that, so asking.

        • +2

U can bring it back my dad has done it multiple you just throw away the box and say u got it from the country you visited

          • @StarPlatinum: Thanks. Just wondering - who'll even ask, and in which case?

say u got it from the country you visited

            • +1

@thegreatermamba: If u go back through border security they might ask but My dad usually does all the talking

          • @StarPlatinum: Will they check the IMEI number to confirm if it's pirchased in AUS?

            • +1

@hohoisme: I usually carry the phone on me and act like normal they don’t check

              • @StarPlatinum: Do you open the box or it is still in the box?

                • +1

@ivyholmes: I pretty sure u show them the box and the phone when they check for flying overseas but when u come back you have to throw away the box

  • Ordered at 7:35, GCs arrived 8:50. Thanks OP!

  • Bought 2000 in two transactions of 500x2

    Hopefully card details arrive soon
Used two diff email and name and two diff Card to pay

    • Same email, name and card worked fine for me

      • waiting for this reply. Not sure why so many comments mentioned that spliting it with different names and email address.

        • Just to be safe I guess.

But I am yet to receive the e-gift card after 1 hour

  • Received gift card

Using to pay for zwift subscription

  • CBA and BOQ don't work. Finally got it to work with UBank

  • $2500 worth all arrived now, had no issues using ubank card and safari

  • Damn, just bought for 10% off for mac mini m2pro 2 weeks ago.

  • How long until expiry if any?

  • You can use 8 gift cards at once when buying online, but can you add the gift cards to your apple ID if you need more than the total of the 8 cards? E.g 8 cards are 2k worth but need 2.5k can you keep adding credit to your ID? Is this ok?

    • +1

      IIRC Apple ID had a 4K limit…
So you could essentially pay 4K via Apple ID -> Say 500$ from gift cards x8 (4K all up) and whatever is outstanding on your credit card…

The 4K on gift cards is based off 500$ value per gift card, as the max redeemable per transaction is 8 gc's from memory! Was a couple years ago when I did this instore…

      • Thank you

  • +10

Thanks OP, started my day by spending $700 for no reasons at all…

    • What are you thinking of getting?

      • +1

        "no reason at all"

      • nothing really at the moment, just loaded it to my Apple account for the future. Kids are growing so might ask for an iPad or iMac at some stage - really using this as an opportunity to load my account now while I have money haha

  • -1

    Ozbargained?

  • Transaction failed twice but got charged on the second transaction. Got the invoice but no gift cards yet

    • Has this happened to anyone else? Not sure what to do. Shall I just wait for the gift cards?

      • Don't worry mate. Mine took almost 2 hrs to arrive after the invoice was received. I'm still waiting for 3 more cards to come.

        • My concern is that the transaction failed and yet the card was charged and I got the invoice too.

          • @dealsucker: the 2nd transaction failure is may be for the 1st transaction from the 2nd app you are using.

    • Transaction failed twice. I don’t think I’ll bother trying a third time.

      • You did not get it. It went through the second time even when it said transaction failed.

  • Thanks OP!

  • Got 2 through on AMEX, both Bankwest stiffed me. Very frustrating, not the first time I've found I needed a handful of credit cards at hand quickly.

    Wanted 4 though.

  • For anyone using common bank. Need to contact Common bank, and let their scam team to verify this transaction, to unblock this purchase. Waiting time :30 mins +……

    • Anyone found a trick to get it through Bankwest?

    • +1

I am ok with my CBA credit card.

  • thanks for the post.

Just ordered a single card; lets see how long it takes to arrive.

  • Can i claim TRS if i am using giftcards to buy iphone's?

    • Yes, its treated like cash. Tax invoice won't show payment method either.

    • Yes, the receipt will state you are using credit card

    • Yes, I do this all the time

      • Does the iPhone have to remain sealed in the box or can we be using it as our primary phone by the time we are claiming it at the airport?

        • +1

You can use the phone after you bought it
You don't have to bring the box or any accessories that comes with it.

    • Sure. It will be tax invoice issued as usual.

    • Should be okay. The tax invoice usually do not mention purchase using gift card, and it will show GST amount.

  • +1

    Thanks OP. Got $2k worth.

    • Do you need more though…?

      • +1

now that you mention it … i might need more :p as they dont expire …

  • can you use these to buy years worth of apple music?

    • +1

I don't see why not, but most prefer flying to Türkiye for a better deal.

  • I desiced to give up when I tried third time without success.

  • +1

Thanks OP. Worked for 4x orders. Taking off the ad-blocking allowed me to get to payment screen. Invoices through already.

  • Thanks OP. Anyone got the cards yet? I got the invoice email only?

    • Just confirming (for your peace of mind) - I am in the same boat.
      No cards yet. Invoice only.

    • yes ordered 7:10 received half hour ago

  • Can you use in education store? thanks

    • +1

Redeem into apple account as credit.
Buy in education store and apply the apple account credit.
      i.e Yes you can.

      • How do you add credit from a pc desktop?

    • Yes you can.

  • You don't have permission to access "http://www.giftcards.com.au/ShoppingCart/Checkout" on this server.

So wired, not able to checkout

  • Thanks OP. Bought 2x$500 via Bom credit card.

  • Loading….

    • If it's the infinite loading… Disable your AdBlocker/s and refresh page.

      • or AdguardHome / PiHole. 4G worked for me

  • @doweyy: maybe you want to edit/update based on my 3 transactions via three different cards.

When you are in the cart:
Payment gateway will open (takes extra 5 seconds than normal wait times)
Enter card details and hit pay
It will then send an OTP to your registered mobile to confirm the transaction.
Once confirmed, transaction will be approved.

  • Ordered at 8:25am, just received gift cards at 9:55am.

  • Keep saying transaction failed after i confirm card's details

    • If you using common bank, call them to unblock

  • Can't believe people are parking upto 50k to resell iphones and get their ones for free once they sell 6-7 of them

    • Who's doing that?

  • I purchased a couple via my phone and it all went thr with no issue.

  • Ordered $200 at about 7am Brisbane time, got them an hour later. I did have to put in a NetCode though when I was purchasing.

  • -3

    Thanks, bought $50,000 worth.

    • Woah……

      Why
      ?

      • Coz he is 50cent

  • Just purchased $1800 in 3 seperate transcation - same credit card. Now waiting for the cards to arrive.

  • I bought $1000, got the tax invoice but still have not received the gift cards after 1hr. Should i be concerned?

    • No, I got mine an hour later

  • Ordered $50 at 8:10 got invoice instantly and gift card just arrived 10:10

  • +1

I keep getting payment failed, contact customer service. Looks like it's been ozbargained

    • +1

If you using common bank, call bank to unblock

      • if you are calling commbank be ready to wait 2 hours for them to even answer the call to unblock the card!

    • ANZ Plus has in-app verifications that took me 2 sec

  • I ordered one this morning and took about 1 1/2 hours for the actual gift card to come through, first time it wouldn't verify my card.

  • Thanks OP, just got 1 x $200, wouldn’t allow 2 cards through

  • Got my gift cards approx 2 hours later

  • got 2x $500… tempted to go in for another 2x $500. I assume these have no expiry

I wonder if you can pay for icloud storage upfront

    • Still working after 3.5 hours?

      • I, too, am surprised. Got 40k so far… still plugging away… same details every time

        • +1

Pfft 40K only? Amateur hour, mate!

        • 40k, so thats for the iphone16 pro?

          • +1

@Spets: Nah i bet he buying one of those mac pro machines with maxed out spec

          • @Spets: Not really. A monitor, or two, perhaps. The Mac Pro, fully decked out, is just under 80k. But, mainly, the kids burn Apple Gift Cards way faster than I can buy them…

        • Reselling ?

    • to my knowledge, icloud storage is only available for payment monthly. But, if you have preloaded your gf to your Apple account balance then yes you're technically paying "upfront"

  • Cheers OP! Bought $2k worth in 2 transactions :)

  • +1

    Cannot redeem code lol

    • You got the code and the code is no good?

      • all good now 👍

        • +1

Geez mate. You got me there

    • Why though

  • +18

Thanks OP, bought nothing, saved $1700, wonderful start of the day 😂

    • +4

You could have saved more, maybe 3400, 6800 ..

      • +2

Nah, I want to share the love, so I left some for others to save 😁

        • Kudos, You will inspire RBA to stop those rate rises.

  • CBA after one transaction keep failing, used nab for 3 transactions, only got confirmation email for 1 and the other two still waiting for a confirmation email, money has taken

    • ok got the third email confirmaiton, still waiting for the last one its been half an hour

  • Mine just went through with st george credit card

  • Can this be use at EPP store?

    • +1

      Yes

    • Such a good deal when combined with EPP discounts

    • What's the price of iPhone 13 in your EPP?

      • Family and Friends are %15 discount.

  • +1

    Thanks OP!

  • got 2k thanks op

  • +2

Westpac CC went through all good. 1.5 hours in and no card yet.

  • +2

Just bought another $200, holding back buying more, must not spend ….

    • +1

Just convince yourself that buying Apple Gift Cards is saving money for a rainy day, and not spending. Of course, there is no Apple Umbrella yet, but one might as well be prepared

    • +1

Unless you plan to buy something, you are locking up your money with limited options to spend on.

      • If you were marooned on a remote island, and you could only take one gift card with you, it would be an Apple Gift Card. Why?! Because it gives one hope

    • Use it to pay tax.

      • Imagine paying millions in tax with $500 gift cards… shoot me now

  • Was able to buy 2 orders of 2x $500 ($2000 total) on the same card / email address

Bank rejected the 3rd attempt for 20 minutes, next attempt it said call customer support when using a different card on the same email

For the final attempt used a new email, phone number and new card

    • First 1k order at 9:45am and received just now.
Still waiting on the other 2k

      • Another 1k come through from 10:06am order time but on a separate email

So far thats 1k from one card + 1k from a diff card and email

Wonder if they're enforcing the 1k per person limit and are going to refund the 2nd transaction

        • And they've all come through. Some took over 4 hours from the order time but there you go

  • 100 mins waiting since the arrival of invoice, anyone else been waiting longer?

    • Same

    • I ordered 2x at 8:02 and got the cards about 90 mins later. Ordered 2 more at 8:48 and have not yet received them.

    • +1

Invoice at 9:26, still no card.

    • same

    • just arrived

      • +1

so that was 111 mins for you

        • order at 8:39am received at 11:21am

        • Hahaha 😆

    • Just arrived.

    • 2 hrs, no code

  • Transaction failed a few times on my computer. Eventually tried on my phone and it worked. Card charged, invoice received.

  • +7

Ended up getting $4k total and have received and used. New MBP 16" on the way 👍 Exciting times!

    • They're looking to release the 15" Air in April based on rumours.

      • I recently used the Officeworks price beat offer to get a M1 Max 16" for $3609.05
Price beat with this mwave deal.
Wanted to get a M2 with gift cards but think this is better value for me.

  • +1

    website crashed…??

    • +2

I am also having trouble getting to the final payment screen; can see cards in my cart

      • -1

        disable adblock

  • Anyone bought with combank card?
    Tried twice with no luck

    • Check if the transaction went through. I got failed transaction twice but one of them got through even though it failed

      • Yes, checked the app didnt go through

    • +1

Nope, tried at least five times with CBA Mastercard, didn't work for me. Had to use Amex. This deal is probably getting hammered.

  • ordered at 8:30. received 5 mins ago. already redeemed.

  • +1

Citibank Mastercard & Amex failed, Westpac works ok. 1.5 hrs no card yet but got invoice.

    • Citibank Mastercard worked for me just fine, with SMS challenge.

  • +1

ordered at 8am still no cards yet

    • for reference, i ordered at 8:22 and received at 10:15.

  • amex and citibank cards not working.

    • Both amex and citbank working now.

      • not working for me

  • I'm surprised it's still alive. Haven't the 5 figure purchase people seen it yet ?

  • ugh my westpac isnt going through!! would love to get a new phone lol

  • Can this card to buy any product from Apple such as iphone etc? I am planning to buy iphone 15

    • +1

yes, you can also loaded into your apple account balance and spend it later

      • -3

I am a bit of nervous to buy it. Never bought the gift card and use it in Apple previously. Definitely legit? Is there any expire date?

        • +1

There is no expiration date for apple gift cards.
I'm also a bit afraid when buying gift cards, but would suggest you go on.
          I purchased 4 * $500.

      • Can I bring this code to the retail shop and buy an iphone? Just need the actual tax invoice for tax return…

        • +1

you still get tax invoice even purchased online
but for sure you can spend the giftcard instore

        • +2

Yes, you can use the gift card in-store as-is. However, if you add the balance to your Apple account balance first, then it can no longer be used in-store, only online.

    • +2

Ofc, bought one iphone 14 pro online and 1 ipad air with bonus airpods ( Cashrewards tracked) on EPP store. Good Combo!

      • How much is the discount for iPhone 14 Pro on EPP store?

        • +1

No discount for any iphone on EPP Store, only Mac , iPad and some other items.

      • Can you still get bonus airpods?

        • Deal ended and the next round will be next year.

          • @psqpower: did you just bought it today with bonus airpod?

            • @dreamzz: Few days ago, I just checked the EPP store and there is no such deal. You could try next CR boost for EPP to stack or buy the new released Ipad model in next few months

    • +2

heads up for anyone wanting to purchase AppleCare plus as a non-monthly subscription- do not redeem this to your Apple ID- you can only use these gift cards instore to purchase a 3 year plan (purchase with these cards is not available through the support app)

  • +2

Card received. Airpods Pro 2 price matched to Officeworks, and card used.

    • Does Apple price match?

      • Read comments in page 1

      • I had to call them, and then place the order over the phone. Certain products are eligible for price match.

  • So tried to do 2x purchases using my wife’s maiden name and a different CC but came back with “ Transaction failed, please contact customer service.”

The credit card has been charged.

What happens now?, is the CC charge just a temporary hold and will be refunded because the transaction failed? Or do I need to get in contact with support and ask for a refund?

    Thanks

    • It’s just a preauth that will (in all likelihood) drop off

  • +1

Bought $2000 in two seperate transactions on CBA Low Fee gold credit card. Confirmed via netcode. Nil issues. Didn’t have to call.

Edit: received tax invoice. Charge to credit card as appropriate. Awaiting gift cards now.

  • Need some TGG gift cards… anyone know of any deals goung atm?

  • so i just get this confirmed, you can use this digital card to go in-store to buy an iphone.

i'm getting confused because i'm reading if you just only put in your apple account, then its just only for purchases via app store? or does including it in your app account allow you to buy an iphone through the apple store app then?

    • +2

Digital gift card can be used in-store and online, or be used to credit your Apple balance.
Your apple balance can only be used online and not in store

    • Your App account and Apple account are all the same now. If you add the credit to your account you can buy both devices and apps from it. I believe you can only load $4999 worth of giftcards into your account however and there is a 8 card limit if you go instore (so if you have more you might have to load them into your account to pay).

      • yeah understand but as Tackka said, it will be only for online purchases as opposed to using it in store because once you load into your account, you can't use this in-store (which sucks whats the difference if its in your account, they should somehow be able to integrate and use this credit in your account)

  • I just received a tax invoice. The GCs have not arrived even after 45 minutes of placing the order.

    • +1

My second order took a few hours but did come.

  • No issues with CBA and UP

    • Yes, CBA really is right at the bottom of the pile, for sure

  • Got 2x$500, thanks OP! Had to order on my phone. For some reason, couldn't get through to payment on my PC (tried edge, chrome, firefox).
Great deal! Got confirmation email within 5 mins and gift card 30mins later

    • Got another $300, again on my phone. Got confirmation email 5 mins later but the gift card took 4 hours (still an ok wait).

Both times used CBA Mastercard with sms verification.
Again, didn't work on my PC.

  • Rang the support number asking when the code will be sent out. My invoice was a couple of hours ago. Was told there is a backlog growing as those transactions are going through Apple to be approved on their side and then emailed.

  • Still haven't got the egift card. Ordered hours ago.

    • Same here, ordered 3 hours ago

    • same ! did 3 lots of orders worth $2500. only have received the tax invoice.

  • Just in time to buy AirPods Pro 2, buying process was a breeze, paid with Citi Premium CC, no dramas.
Now wait for actual GC to arrive.

    • +2

Price match office works, currently $358.

      • Will Apple price match officeworks?

  • Submitted two (2) orders of 2 x $500 ($2000 total) on two different cards & same email address.

    Tax invoices arrived 12:30pm & 12:36pm.

    GCs - Waiting

  • Bought $2k, thanks OP

  • -7

Look at all these rich beeshes…What inflation?

  • Ordered at 9:45AM - 2x $500 but have only just received one $500 GC at 12:56PM. Wth?

    • +1

It's OZB. Lots of people purchased them before 9AM.

      • Yes but would have assumed as both GC purchased at same time, that both would have arrived together (or at least shortly apart from each other).

        • Other OZBers have similar issues. No one knows why.

  • I have got the invoice but have not got the gift cards. When will the email be coming? Its worth 2000$

    • +1

Give it 3h and 26mins. Oh, wait, you said $2000! So it’s going to take only 3h 25mins then.

      • 2000$ in 3 diff transactions with 3 diff emails 🙈

        • Managed to get 2500 for one email used 3 different cards tho

        • Did you receive them?

  • Has anyone redeemed the gift card? I have tried the serial number starting with GCA and no luck

    • +2

Don't use the serial number use the one in blue.

      • Thanks it worked.

  • +1

For those waiting on emails, ordered 5 gift cards in 3 seperate transactions at 9.45am. Received 3 of the gift cards at 12.55pm and the last two at 1.15pm. So received all within the 4hr time period stated on the site.

    • Thanks for the update. Was getting scary as ordered worth 2000$

  • Eughhhhh I have FOMO. My bloody CBA won’t work :(

    • +1

so i waited up to 7am and then it failed for me. like 5 times. I figured my IP was blocked or something. perhaps even email address.
Tried via mobile (but forgot about turning off wifi) and i got further - got the actual netbank challenge screen (so browser might have helped)
then i tried 2-3 other things at the same time:
      - unticked "use this shipping address" so that the following gift card screen did not prefill - i then ticked send to biller
      - turned off wifi, used 4G.
      - use different email

      Then it worked.
Received invoice from Coles, and now just awaiting the gc.

      • +1

Tried this, unfortunately still not working for me :(

        Using CBA debit card.

call your bank. I just found out my card had been silently blocked. When i first tried to purchase this morning at 7am, it didnt twig that i wasnt being given my bank's SMS portal for the code thing that the online merchant giftcards.com.au uses.

It was only later when i tried on mobile that i was given the code prompt. Now even though i was given the code prompt and received the SMS code from my bank, it was still blocked! I only realised this when I went to use a second card from the same bank - which as mentioned above, because I used my mobile, made it work.

Once you click on process payment, it spins around and then a box came up "Initialising challenge…" or words to that effect, which is the SMS/2FA check. This never showed up on my PC (Firefox browser, no adblockers at all).

Hope these tidbits might help someone!

          • @Bob Loblaw: Thx
According to your method, the same card, I have a successful transaction on my iphone (yes, I got the transaction failed on my PC before) .

  • I feel like the algos for anti money laundering have been triggered on theses systems.
I remember the good ole days of AU GCs via eBay UK PayPal. 20% off and they ended up human ordering it.

  • Thanks OP!

    Order placed at 10:46
    Gift card received at 13:32

  • Ordered at 10:07 and still no gift card email

Edit: Arrived slightly after 4 hours

  • how are people buying $1000 when website only allowing $500 per gift card?

    • +1

      $500 x2

    • +1

You can click x2 gift cards at 500$ each.

      I’m too slow lol.

  • received mine after 3 hours.

  • +1

See you all at this year's iPhone 15 launch… 15% above iPhone 14's RRP due to inflation :(

  • +3

Bought $2000 for 16 Pro next year 😳😳

    • +1

better get another 1,000 for that.

      • The interest rate for saving account is above 4.5% now . 2k for two years would be $180 income.

        • More precisely, 1 years and 6 months until 16 releases. You save $300 right away from buying $2000 worth of gift cards. And the $180 income you mentioned here is pre-tax. So still a win.

    • -1

i know you're joking, but inflation would eat away at most of the benefits of buying these discounted GC's and holding them for 1.5 years, so i hope no one thinks of doing this

      • bought it if you'd like to spend it straight away!

  • Took a while to come but it got there…now to resist buying more lol

    • Just do it.
      Once in a lifetime deal.

  • only invoice no card received yet since ordered around 11:30AM today.

  • Received over 4 hours later. Cant complain. Use it for one rainy day

    • Buying Apple products is considered rainy day? I thought it should be more like sunny day.

      • People in China used to sell their own kidneys for the latest iPhone. Some people just can’t live without Apple gadgets.

        • Those people have mental health issues.

  • +1

I'm really tempted to purchase more.. Don't think this will come around all too often if at all. Previous best was 30x colesworths points few years ago when they first started.

    • +1

If you have the money to save them, yes do. Last time I bought the Him/her tcn cards but it's very annoying exchanging at Jb Hifi.

still getting errors - Transaction failed, please contact customer service.

  • Anyone have any shred of an idea at if a macbook can be claimed with TRS and brought back into the country? flying out solo but returning with a partner. Not sure howw to interpret the rules of this whole 900aud worth /person thing.

    • I did it once with an iphone, went without issues since customs officer allowed up to 1.8k combined between me and partner.

      • Cheers

Wonder what happens if youre on your own and cant distribute the cap between people??

        • +1

Well nothing if you don't get caught

    • I did it before and they simply want you to declare (verbally) that you're not carrying the Macbook back into the country after they gave you the GST.

Once that's done, you can be on your way and upon returning, I find they almost never check for these. I havent heard any anecdotes of these being checked.

They're usually more interested to check whether you've brought in any food items or soils.

      • Did you declare you're bringing it back on your passenger inbound form?

      • what did you claim on (asking if it was >900$) thank you!

        • I did an iPhone 14 pro max + Sony xm5 and wasn't checked on the way back in. (no I didn't have it with me ATO)

  • This deal lasts longer than expected which makes me wonder.

    • I got my gift cards…..

    • It's variable load up to $500 per giftcard that's why.
Every user only needs to purchase two giftcards. Compared to limited value $50/$100 cards which every user will buy ten of.

Still looks like it's available but no so sure if I need them. It's going to be 15% off Apple RRP which is great if you are buying something on release, but pretty sure deals from Amazon etc have been better for last years models. Don't really need anything from Apple "right now".

  • +2

    Anyone having loading issues;

It took a couple of hours, from around 1:00-2:30AEDT - probably as people were on their lunch breaks. Since then multiple orders went through without loading 'payment options', previously the problem.

PiHole wasn't an issue, try disabling uBlock Origin and VPN and a few refreshes, or cookie delete/browser re-opens should also help.

Eternal thanks to you OP doweyy, you've made a lot of people happy! 🙂

  • +5

Thanks doweyy. What an amazing deal and incredible find!. Imagine all the hassle you have to go through with the FB or WR points offer to get a similar discount. This is the best one can get with straight up discount on what you pay. And for once - its been available for a long time giving everyone who needs some a chance.

  • +1

Thanks OP this will soften the blow of buying a new Mac Studio later in the year. 😀👍

    • Do gift cards ever work with ShopBack?

I should have investigated previous to buying many $ worth of cards.

  • +2

Transaction failed, please contact customer service. anyone else facing this? trying to use my bankwest mastercard

  • +7

cheers! just used the gift card to purchase the iphone 13 mini 128 gb for $891.65, my first iphone ever!

  • Can I use the apple gift card to buy their education price devices? just wanna buy a ipad. thanks!

    • Yes, this should be fine

  • Heads up for anyone waiting for your gift cards, I'd waited since 1pm today and just gave them a call and they said they have received over 15000 orders so far, so will take a fair while to process.

    • i thought its all automated in the background, what human work is required with all these orders, doesn't the computer handling all the requests just do this automatically? lol

      • Haha yeah, she sounded pretty stressed, I think it's because of the volume, some fraud detection may have kicked in meaning they have to be verified..

        • its interesting because the promo is whilst stocks last, i would have expected maybe this to be capped at , i dunno 200k worth of vouchers and then you can't buy once its all been bought

  • Transaction failed about 50 times from 7a.m.
CBA and giftcards.com.au customer service couldn't help.
Don't understand how other people got through.
Also, already tried everything suggested here.

    • not sure why yours is failing, i tried my amex and got that error message but only tried it 2 times and it worked
no just waiting on the gift card

    • CBA just doesn't work. Neither does BOQ. Sign up for Ubank

      • i read someone used their cba debit card and it worked

        • Tried CBA debit card:
          error: Card type not accepted.

      • CBA worked for me - with netbank verification code

      • CBA worked for me, BOQ didn't for a second transaction.

    • I managed to get 3 times with st George and westpac

    • bankwest failed 3 times for me

  • Can someone explain how I can use these gift cards online to buy an iphone

    • buy gift card, add to your apple account, go to apple app store and buy and it just uses the credit. thats my understanding unless i am wrong but someone can confirm this too :)

      • i think you need to select “use apple account balance” or whatever it’s called when you checkout in the apple store, I got stung by not doing that part last year and had to call them

      • +2

If you add Apple Gift Cards to your account they will not be able to be used at a physical Apple Store. I learnt the hard way.

        • +1

Pretty sure you can order online with Apple balance (GC's added to account) then click and collect or free delivery.

        • +1

yup have to go online and place a click and collect order. GC can be added while purchasing.

Apple store wont be able to use your balance or e-giftcard. They only take physical giftcard

        • Yep, and if you can find the iphone you want at a discounted price from one of apples authorised resellers, you can get the physical store or someone on the phone (133-MAC) to price match (listed as 'Deal Closer' on the invoice). Then they ask for a few bits like apple ID, phone number etc. then CC details for payment. ask can you pay with gift cards and use a credit card for any remaining balance. You literally read the 15 or 16 character gift card code, and they'll confirm the amount. Rinse repeat, and that's about it.

          • @Bob Loblaw: Can they use your account balance if you order over the phone?

            • +1

@unity1: Not sure as I paid direct with the GCs. it certainly felt like i could have paid with an account balance, but i haven't tried to do that before.

You can always ring 133-mac and just say "purchase <device>" and it will put you through to a salesperson. Just ask, can you pay for a phone order with an apple account balance.

    • Buy gift cards - Buy iPhone with said gift cards

  • silly question but if i decide to buy a gift card say 1k and plan to buy an iphone but then somehow i get hooked onto samsung later on, can i just sell the 1k gift cards i bought ebay so I can get my money back from it?

    • +4

I'll buy them off you at 60% of their face value. /s

    • You'd be able to sell them in the classifieds without losing anything.

      • you mean like gumtree?

        • +3

          ozbargain classified section

    • +1

it will be difficult if it is digital unless you meet up and exchange in person.

    • +1

It's best NOT to sell it on feeBay. Not because feeBay never waived the final value fees on gift cards, but digital gift cards have zero seller protection.

It's useless to send an e-mail proof that you sent the information to the buyer. Even if you sent physical copies, the buyer can still claim that YOU already claimed them. If your feeBay username is like your OZB username, then I really doubt you can win the case.

Even if you managed to sell it to a good buyer, the feeBay fees would be 11%+ so are you able to sell even at break even price? Most people could wait for the 10% off Woolies or Coles.

    • You can buy now and still sell for some profit. Apple or JB gift card usually sell easily at 10% off.

  • Wonder why CBA is having trouble

    • Too many large transactions to same Business?

Most of us have a CBA card.

      • Used my Amex first
        All ok

        Then tried CBA M/C
        Nope

        Lastly 28 degrees
Yep ( after i entered the code they messaged)

    • +1

Try using your phone. I used microsoft edge on desktop and it failed. On mobile using safari (iOS) gives a prompt to enter net code and all worked fine.

      • ^ this! I don't know why i had this issue, but this was my ultimate issue. Bank blocked my debit card because i didnt receive the prompt on desktop browser (clean profile/no adblockers etc.) and i did re-try several times.

      • All mine are on mobile

No laptop/PC as am travelling atm

        • +1

do you have adblockers on your mobile browsers? I've seen that sometimes mess up bank verification popups.

No laptop/PC as am travelling atm

Probably thats why. Drop a message to your bank people to unblock your card from automatic protection 😉

  • Used Amex and got error message but checked email and the order went through. Put in another order with the same Amex card before realising the successful first order and 2nd order went through without error message/issues. Strange…

Now waiting for the gift cards 😬

    Rinse and repeat…

Got 3k worth then was able to call apple online who price matched the 14 inch mac pro m2 pro (sell price $3199) costco $2999 so pretty good over all price $2550 for apple that retails at $3199. Thanks OP.

    • how fast did you get your gift card?

      • +2

I got them within 2.5 hours of purchase same card same email.

    • Does anyone know if you can call and price match iPhones? Or is not an item that you can price match? Also on the phone can you use your Apple balance or you have to leave the gift card no added to your Apple balance

    • omg. called 3 apple stores in VIC to try to PM the iphone 14 pro max with costco, they all said no. which store did you call??

      • how much is it in costco?

    • +2

Its $2840 at AOC which is what i got it through.

      • Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what does AOC stand for?

        • Apple on Campus CMIIW

    • This is just simply not true, I've contacted Apple Online and Costco is not an authorised retailer, rather a wholesaler. If others would like to check themselves contact Apple 133 622, it is a policy that they do not price match Costco.

    • Hi is the amount $2550 after using the 15% gift cards?

  • Does anyone have a gauge for the approx. cost of the iPhone 15 pro max/ultra 256gb and 512gb models?

    • My prediction would be $2.4k-$2.7k for ‘ultra’

    • +1

Same price as previous models in US dollars. But, because the Aussie dollar is currently overvalued, probably an increase of… say… 15% on current prices by release date. Hurry up and buy more gift cards woohoo!

  • does anyone else have the same issue? I placed an order for 2*$500 but only received one egift card email. btw, this only happens to my last order

iTunes gc could not be used for store purchases. They were regularly 30% off anyway.

      • When were Apple Gift Cards available at 30% discount?

        • I said iTunes gc not apple.

      • Yup iTunes GC was only usable for music/movies only.

I think it's a good move Apple decided to combine their GC. Allows deals like this and any leftover can be used to pay for movie rentals/subscriptions etc.

      • Yup and Harvey Norman occasionally ran 1/2 price for the $20 or buy one get one free for the $20.

      • iTunes gift cards were able to be used for Apple Store/hardware purchases once they merged the two gift cards. If you had old ones still around, you’d get a pretty decent discount off the hardware.

    • you do know that no one's selling itunes gc anywhere in Australia anymore right?

  • The order was placed at 12:00, and I still haven't received the gift card.

    • mine 12:30. not received yet

    • 12:12 - order placed, invoice received
      15:50 - card received (I only bought $100)

      • btw, tax invoice was put into Spam folder by Gmail, but card details arrived normally, but I guess you are checking both inbox and spam folders :)

  • +1

I have tried to purchase on my Mac and on a mobile, bank with comm bank and keeps rejecting. Even after Netbank code, have tried 5 times!
    What am I doing wrong?

    • I read somewhere above in the comments section that someone needed to call CBA to get them to unblock the transactions and to notify them that this is in fact, legitimate transaction. Maybe try that?

Also, stop your adblocker for this page. May not be helpful but it did stopped me from buying for first few times (stuck on loading screen).

  • +4

This deal is so much better then those in store gift card that get hidden day before and best part you can buy as many as you like love it 😍 I bought 3K Christmas is sorted for me woohoo THANKS

  • Ordered 8:52AM AWST (11:52 AEDT)
Received now 1:54PM AWST (4:54PM AEDT)

    • It did say wait up to 4 hours

      • 5 hours and two minutes though

I am surprised Coles Group hasn't been bankrupted by now.

@tharlow Have you cleaned out your savings account?

    • +1

Maybe Coles is showing them how their products are considered 15% over priced.

  • No update on the giftcards. Ordered since 12:48 PM.
    Anyone with the same issues?
    2 different orders. 500 & 1000. On different accounts.

  • Placed order at 12:00 pm just received the GC now 5:15pm

    • Similar ordered at 1pm came through at 5:40pm seems like they are roughly 5 hour delay

  • What a PITA - after trying multiple times throughout the day and always getting the "Transaction failed, please contact customer service" error (even doing the SMS auth) - I finally tried again just now and managed to do 2 separate orders for $500 each which worked (same credit card tried each time today)

    • +1

And here I am still on the fence. Pretty much I am going to be guaranteeing a purchase at the Apple store, for 15% savings. But I don't really plan to buy anything in the near future.
Those who are churning through them by buying then using straight away are doing it right though.

      • Yep learnt too many times not to stock up on gift cards unless I absolutely need it. You end up losing your % gains over time as you're forgoing interest at the bank!

        • Yes you should definitely have something planned/needed to buy within a short time frame. Best case is buy straight away but if you plan to buy something in a few weeks you should definitely load them into your account otherwise risk losing track of them.
The worst case scenario is if you are not a big Apple customer and just thought it would be "a good idea". Then if you realize you are not going to use them and sell them on a marketplace you might only be able to sell at further discount or get scammed and lose the whole lot.

I have a budget iPad and Apple TV, but not exactly a typical Apple customer upgrading every 1 or 2 years. So I don't think it's a good idea. I already have enough to pay for my Apple TV Stan movie service subscription which I loaded up from the Flybuys offer.

  • Didn’t work even tried $500 at a time.
Talked with CBA twice and giftcards.com.AU once. All said nothing wrong on their side. Giving up is the only choice

    • The only other thing I did differently (besides doing 1 x $500 instead of 2) was to:
      - NOT tick the "Use this as shipping address" box at the bottom of the page where you're accepting conditions, etc
      - and then on the next page choosing to Ship to billing address (and it fills your name and email from the previous page)
      - then complete the rest of the order as per before

      • I used incognito mode on Google Chrome and my 3 transactions all went through without an issue. Paid using Amex.

    • Try mobile. It worked without issues on mobile for me

  • Ordered at 1pm via visa card. Got the invoices, just waiting for gift cards.

just got mine at 5:40pm after ordering at 1pm

Just got 2 $500 cards around 6pm. Waiting for a final $500 card. Orders were roughly 2mins apart so fingers crossed.
        Edit: final order received: 6:30.

        Total: $1500
        Card: visa
Same card, email & details for both orders. So don't think the 1k limit is being enforced at all… not yet anyway. Maybe just a fomo marketing strategy? lol.

        • Yeah I think it's just limit of 1k per transaction. Best deal in a long time especially when combined with student portal.

  • Thanks OP, just bought $2500 worth! :)

  • Ordered around 1230pm, email invoice shortly after, and just got the 2x GC emails 5pm. Thanks OP! got there in the end

  • Has anybody been able to redeem Apple gift cards without having an apple device. I want to buy and add them to my apple ID balance to pay for Apple TV+, but I have previously tried to redeem a card with no luck.

If I go to apple.com/redeem it tries to open an iTunes webpage which doesn't work on chrome on Android. I have previously tried apple "support" and they couldn't solve it before I gave up.

    • +2

Here's some information from support that may help you redeem:

Redeem a gift card on a Windows PC

      • Find the 16-digit code on the back of the card. For some gift cards, you might need to peel or gently scratch off the label to see the code.
      • Open iTunes.
      • From the menu bar at the top of the iTunes window, choose Account.
      • Choose Redeem.
      • Sign in and follow the instructions on the screen.

Redeem a gift card on your Android device

      • Find the 16-digit code on the back of the card. For some gift cards, you might need to peel or gently scratch off the label to see the code.
      • Open the Apple Music app.
      • Tap the menu button , then tap Account.
      • Tap Redeem Gift Card or Code.
      • Enter the 16-digit code. Then tap Redeem.

You just need to download an Apple specific app and redeem inside, seems like Apple Music is the best choice for you on Android. Download Apple Music, login to your Apple ID and redeem. Then delete if required.

      • If only it worked like Apple says it should. The Apple Music app on android doesn't actually give the redeem gift card option. Apple support reply was 'I’m sorry, but Apple Music through the Google store and Apple Music through Apple are different. You can sign up Apple Music through Apple and redeem your Apple gift card on your computer or Apple device'.

It appears that I need to download itunes onto a windows computer, which I don't have. And I don't have apple device so I don't think there is anyway for me to use an apple gift card.

      • Do I need an Apple account to redeem the gift card? Can I use the gift card directly in the Apple Store online?

    Hey fellow OzB-ers,

Just got off the phone with CBA and understood why many of our CBA cards aren't going through.
Turns out It is CBA's card protection protocol at work. CBA cardholders just need to get in touch with them, confirming it is a genuine transaction, then CBA staff will inform you the card is all clear and you will be able to submit the transaction

CBA is swamped by this type of calls throughout the day, good thing is their call centre is actually 24/7

Hope this helps other fellow OzB-ers who have yet to checkout and score this deal : )

  • Bought two around 11am Brisbane, received at 445pm. 2 x $500 via Westpac debit card.

    Thank you OP!

  • I ordered 3 hours ago and still havent received the E-gift card… I only received email of invoice only….

    • Same here, i placed an order around 3:40pm and still haven’t received gift cards. But should not worry too much, i read all comments above and everyone receives what you ordered in the end

      • Just received 2x500 gift cards finally. Took exactly 4 hours

      • True, i just went with the easy option, my bad.

  • Still available as of 8pm.

    Got 2x$500 in 4 transactions.

    4 different cards.

Tried to use the same card on third lot and said transaction failed.

Got invoices but no GCs yet.

    • They take several hours to arrive in your inbox

  • -3

Can you buy iphone with this

    • +9

      Long day?

    • yep

  • Thanks.

Can finally upgrade my iPad mini.

    • $636.65

Cheapest price ever for iPad mini 6.

      • I am planning to get an 64GB ipad mini 6 as well. How did you manage to get the price down to $636.65?
        $829 Apple.com.au ~ 15% off = $704.65
        $801 Amazon AU (price match Apple) - 15% off = $680.85

        • +2

I bought it from the Apple education store.

          $749 less 15% is $636.65

          I bought 2 gift cards. $500 and $249

    • Thanks can finally upgrade my iPhone 3GS

  • Managed to get another 2 x $500 using the same Amex card that previously gave transaction error.
Issue disappeared after receiving the GCs of earlier orders.

  • I can't get it to work, not on my phone, not on my computer, not with different bank cards, not with incognito mode.

    • +1

Nevermind, just got it to work after ages. For people who can't get it, try turning your wifi off and using mobile data.

  • Nice… just grabbed enough to get my Watch Ultra.

Not really going to get 15% off anywhere else for Apple gear… so yeah… NICE !!!

  • Anyone having issues redeeming the codes? Got my codes in the mail and tried redeeming online only to have an “invalid code” message?

    • +1

Make sure you aren’t trying to redeem the field marked serial number.

  • Anybody else having the words payment verification come up after entering the card number then nothing else?

    • I'm having the same issue here
      . How to fix?

    • It waited a while on there and then went through.

      Just ordered 2x$500.

  • +2

I ended up calling CBA and was on hold for well over 1 hour.
The issue is that many people get fraud on cards with money spent in Coles, this means the fraud department are flagging these transactions.
After spending 2 hours on the phone I gave up but apparently you need to speak to the fraud department to get your transaction approved.

  • Used wifes NAB card and went through straight away.

    • Yes, NAB credit card worked for me easily

    • Nice one… Let the wife pay for it

  • I got 2k worth and now I need to wait 6months for the iPhone 15. Or should I just get the iPhone 14??

    • +4

      Wait for USB-C iPhone 15

    • I am chipping in towards my iphone 15 too, certainly 15 pro with USB C for me

    • I'm in the same boat…

    • 15 pro

  • +2

This is a clean deal, thanks for posting. Got 3 cards. Its amazing how this is still not sold out.

  • +2

Never felt this easy and content to get discounted Apple GCs. Solid deal.

    • +1

This deal should have come before the 8% EDU cashback.

      • +1

It would have been sweet. 15% discounted gift card + 8% cashback + free Airpods.

  • +3

This is SOOOO much easier than having to deal with Woolworths or Coles stores in person who outright refuse to sell Apple Gift Cards of any value…. in my experience, esp during the point-bonus-promos.

  • +1

Is anyone waiting a while for Invoice email too? (not the gift card emails)

    • +1

      Yep. Same boat as you.

    • +1

      Same!

    • Okay cool - fingers crossed its all good for us!

    • +1

Same, mine gave me “Bad Gateway” error after payment went through but then I refreshed and it said order successful, have not recieved any confirmation yet

    • im waiting on the invoice too 😭

  • +1

How is this still going on? Usually these deals end quickly and they run out of stock, let’s hope Apple don’t jack up the prices to compensate

  • What is the maximum I can add to my iTunes account… And what should I do with the rest just keep the card I guess?

    • What would u add to iTunes wouldn’t it be better to add to your apple account so you can use it to buy devices

    • It's not entirely clear what the maximum account balance is. There are various sites/posts that claim the maximum is $2,000, $4,999, or unlimited, however none of these are an official source.

Also there have been reports that Apple may permanently disable your account if they suspect there's any fraudulent activity involving gift cards, and it's unclear what they consider "fraudulent" or "unusual". It's best not to add too many gift cards to your account within a short period.

      • +1

its $4,999 - after this the account balance wouldn't accept any more to be redeemed. In terms of fraudulent activity just need to mindful not to redeem all your gift cards in one go because i think after a certain number of continuous redemptions it came up with msg "card already redeemed" for me even though it wasn't - you have to give it a break and start again . I have personally redeemed $4,500 worth of $20 gift cards ( 15% off - yes i know its a pain) but it was spread over a week.

      • I loaded $4,500-ish a couple of weeks back.

Most are $20 GC, best to use camera and scan

  • I purchased 3 lot of 2x500, got the tax invoice straight away, and got the cards about 3 hours. I just purchased another $3000( 3 transactions), still have not get the tax invoices yet.

    • Any Help? all transaction went through.

  • My CBA card won't work on PC or mobile >.<

    • +1

Many issues reported above with CBA, I had to use my ANZ which worked fine

    • +1

CBA has some issues, try another bank card, I tried NAB and worked

  • 25000 clicks so far, that's a few million $ worth apple products pre sold

    • Not every click leads to a transaction, especially with all of the errors people are getting with payments not going through

  • Bought M2 Mac Mini base model but switched to 16GB RAM, and iPad Air 10.9" with M1. Should make for a killer setup upgrade. Did anyone go MacBook Air over Mini?

    • Also bought a base mini, hard to pass up at $675

      • Did you go 8GB or 16GB RAM? I'm expecting mine to be my desktop for the next 7-8 years so bumped it up a bit. Will be using external storage

        • I also considered this one but finally after watched on youtube and read about comments ,i went with macbook air m2 with 16gb ram, but need to wait until 23 or 24 march for pick up for delivery :(

          • @thib: Was kind of thinking the same, but the lack of ports would annoy me. I also already have a 2019 MacBook Pro that does the job, so that helps. Mostly sit at desk anyway. Ideally would get all 3 haha

        • For a 7-8 year machine consider going even higher than 16GB but depends what you do with it. I know you've already bought it but you can always return it and order a higher config. 16 is the new 8, and 32 is the new 16 :) Of course if you just use it for light duties like email, web browsing, etc, 16 will be more than fine. If you want to do any remotely demanding workloads, and have it perform well for almost a decade, consider going for 32.

          • @saitaris: Don't think it matches up quite that way with the ARM Mac's. Everything I've seen says apart from if you're doing high res video editing even the 8GB is fine, so should be chilling with the 16

        • For 7-8 years of use it’s a no brainer to go 16gb. But I will sell and replace with an M3 once released, so just went with 8gb.

  • payments failed with several different bank credit card, it is not just Commbank, I tried 3 different card
System is so bad, how they run business by Coles

    • try via mobile data, on your phone, using no ad blockers, make sure billing details match exactly, and call up bank to ensure they haven't blocked the card.. the fraud teams run 24/7 so don't worry about the time.

  • +1

i bought one just tonight about 2 hours ago and haven't seen a confirmation email… just slightly worried…

    The payments did go through.

    • +1

Similar boat, bought mine half an hour ago and waiting for any emails to arrive… Hope yours arrives soon

      • just sliiightly nervous… but hoping yours will come through soon too

        • Whoops I responded a bit late, but just confirming that all the gift cards I ordered did arrive within a few hours :) Whew!

    • +1

i bought 3, took 4 hours for the firsrt two and 5 for the third

      • +1

their support team also replied in like 5 mins when i emailed confirming it should take that long.

        • thanks for the heads-up. So even the invoice email takes this long?

    • Can confirm, have just received the invoice email. Probably took about 4~ hours. No GC emails yet though. Hopefully it'd follow through soon.

    • Decided to go again for $500, after the problems with cba yesterday.

Payment went thru ok ( slight glitch)
      (amex)

Be interesting to see how long it takes for Invoice and then Giftcard

      • Gift card and invoice arrived via email at same time this morning

So still working ok around 1.5 hours ago.

  • Payment doesn't go through now. Perhaps OOS

    • I'd bet on that being an issue with your card rather than OOS given the previous payment issues everyone else has had

    • +1

just bought an extra, still working for me

  • CBA went ok one time
    Not the second though

  • How can I add it to my Apple account so I can use it in a year on the apple education store?
Or should I keep it and redeem it at the time of purchase?

    • Keep it and redeem in checkout later. Means you could use it in store then if you change your mind.

      • There's a small risk your code getting hacked, its safer to load it to your apple account.

  • Thanks. $500 x2 went through with NAB no problem. Cards followed about 10 minutes later

  • +1

I wonder which ozbargainers bought the highest value, seen someone buying 6k worth in the comments. Anyone buy 10k and above? If so, I'm curious as of what you wanna use it for?

    • +1

There is no limit to how much you can buy with this deal.
Some people may be going crazy since this is the first time we have seen a deal like this after the restructure of Apple GCs.

    • how about a survey link?

      • someone said he did $40k and still going lol

  • -4

    I bought 80K worth

    • Clearly not enough, should have really went in and stockpiled for the winters.

    • +1

      Username checks out

    • +1

What the hell is even that?

  • Thanks OP. Just ordered $1500 (3x $500 over 2 transactions) on ANZ Visa without issue.
Worked on Desktop fine but not on phone for some reason - failed at the OTP challenge.
    Waiting on email delivery.

    • And received within the hour - no complaints. Great deal, thanks OP!

  • What's the best option for getting MBP 14" M2 base model? Using AOC with this Gift Cards?

    • +2

Consider a refurb M1 Pro 14" unless you really want the M2. The base model goes for $2299 on the refurb store which is a substantial discount over the M2 equivalent even on the AOC store.

    • +1

Purchase gift cards to the value of your chosen machine. Add to your Apple ID balance. Wait until JB or Good Guys has a 10% off Mac sale, then call Apple and price match. Pay using your Apple balance. Final result is a little over 20% off the retail price.

      • Someone previous advised that you don't add them to your Apple ID balance otherwise you can't use it in store or online to purchase apple products. Just read another comment and it says you can do that and use it online only but not in store. Don't think I'll load it on my Apple ID just in case there are issues.

        • +1

You can buy online for click and collect if it's on your Apple ID balance, but cannot walk into a store and pay for an item. Nothing wrong with putting on your Apple ID if you're OK with that caveat, it doesn't even stop you actually collecting the item in store, you just need to order it online first.

        • +1

It's much easier to negotiate a discounted price match via phone rather than instore. As you can click and collect, I can't see an advantage to using the cards instore, hence my recommendation to add to your Apple ID credit.

  • -4

Too many salty AF people here

    • Not helped by you trolling either.

    • Exactly 80k salts.

  • +2

The deal is still going. Originally expected oos in a few hours.

Does Apple has cash flow issue?

    • +1

      expecting price hike soon

      • Based on what credible source?

        • Gut feeling since this deal is not yet expired

  • Bought 2 this morning and they arrived fairly quick, within 10minutes or so.

    • Yep likewise. Hell of lot faster response today. CBA Visa card, no issues.

  • +4

This deal is even advertised in Daily Telegraph newspaper today, so there must be lots of discounted digital Apple GCs that Coles are preparing to sell.

  • I caved in this morning, after undecided last night, went and bought the 7th and 8th card for good measure. Surprised it's still there. Go for it guys.

  • Question for the masses, do you think this is going to be the best discount you're going to get on an iPhone 14 pro (or whatever) this year? Does anyone think June Telstra day will bring anything better like those iPhone 13 deals?

  • Works for cba cards too, I used it via chrome on iPhone

  • +1

Stocked up for the iPhone 15 release later this year :) Thanks OP!!

  • Can I load the gift card into my itunes account and pay with those itunes funds at the apple store?

    • +4

No, once you've redeemed into your iTunes account, you can only buy on Apple.com/au, or the Apple Store app (or maybe when calling 133 622) - you can't go into an Apple Store and spend your iTunes balance there. Only unredeemed gift cards can be used in an Apple Store.

You can buy online for pickup in store though.

      • -1

When I asked at the apple store, they said only physical gift card is accepted in store. If you have an e-giftcard like this deal, you will have to order it online - delivery or C&C

        • +1

          Apple Gift Card Details:
The Apple Gift Card can be used two ways: To purchase products at the Apple Store, bring this email to any Apple Store location before redeeming your gift card. For online purchases, go to apple.com/redeem to add to your Apple Account Balance.

          • -1

@dingdong3000: I did not want to argue with them since what I needed was not in stock at the time. However, that is what they told me when I asked.

            • @legelas: Order over phone. Price match with JB or Officeworks (as they are authorised resellers). so if you need a 14 vanilla at the moment, you can get 128GB for ~$1103, pick up or delivery from your local apple store. For a 14, if you don't kneed pro motion, the camera setup etc. then this is a good deal imo. but it's < 6 months until 15 comes along, so it might not be worth buying a P/PM since USB C is reportedly coming.

  • Picked up a chunk for a new iPhone in September, delivered within minutes. Does feel like a sketchy time to be buying giftcards with GFC 2.0 on the horizon though…

  • -6

Good if you want to purchase something right now but not a good idea to hold onto these. Heading into a massive, massive economic downturn, banks collapsing in the US, these cards could be cancelled at anytime. buyer beware

    • only if Apple collapse

      • At this point i'm not saying anything is impossible. This is the bleakest the foreseeable future has ever looked. Recession, financial collapses, war looming. it's all happening right now

        • +4

if those happen, several thousand dollars in gift card is the least concern. BTW your downvote is not from me

        • You mean anything is possible? Because if you decided not to "invest" your money in these discounted gift cards for future purchase, and save your money in your bank, there is a possibility your bank may collapse and you risk losing your saving too.

    • If this deal was on GCs for another company like Kogan, Good Guys or Harvey Norman then I wouldn’t have given it a look. It’s Apple we’re talking here. Imagine if they cancelled these GCs, the uproar and market speculations which would result in the repercussions of their stock values. It will then send the global tech sector stock market (including China’s) into meltdown.

      • Australia isn't that important, they can cancel and provide refund without much fanfare.

Besides Coles is selling the gift cards not Apple.

  • +5

Checkout successfully for another $500 GC with the same credit card I used for 6x$500 GC yesterday. I have to stop visiting this post again or I will keep buying these GCs.
    I can’t control myself!

    • +1

@FrugalNotStingy Thanks for contributing to another rise in the interest rate. Happy shopping.

    • I’m controlling myself to not buy a Mac Studio.

I hope this deal ends soon. :/

      • +4

It will end after you have bought a Mac Studio ;p

      • Wait for M2 (or even M3 if they skipped the M2) Mac Studio if you’re not in a hurry.

      • Buy it already or this thing will never end!!!

    • It seems that you enjoy the sense of accomplishment that comes with successfully completing a purchase. Purchase 2 x $500 GC each day.

      • It’s not like I have a checkout success clicking addiction. I am just happy to see this rare special is still on after 24 hours.

        • I am just as tempted to stock up as you are, considering a deal like this may not come again for a long time.

Since I don't have any major purchases coming up other than a new phone and a possible M3 iPad, I am not that keen to have my funds locked up with one vendor.

          • @DoctorCalculon: I’ll see what they’ll bring out for the iPhone 15 before I will consider if I will upgrade or not. iPad Pro I don’t really care about if they’re not coming out with a redesign (though I might get the 11” if they have the mini-LED screen).
With these ARM chips, they’re just annual incremental upgrades to compete with the competition and to satisfy the fanboys to get the latest and greatest. I don’t see a need to upgrade the devices every year with each new release.

    • Get married!

  • hmm how long did you guys have to wait for the cards to be delivered?

It's been 20 mins since I paid but still no email confirmation or cards …

    • Same here, it's been an hour for me.

      • they say within 4 hours

    • Can vary between 10 mins to 6 hours.

      • all good! Received them all in good time…bring on Iphone 15!

  • Apple WILL price match JB and HN over the phone. Currently $50 off some Apple Watch models.

    • Do they do iPhone price match as well? Also if you load all your gift cards into the app store can you pay over the phone with the Apple balance as well?

      • They price match over the phone (as long as apple reseller, so the big ones like JB, HN, OW etc.) Not sure on the second, although they did ask for an Apple ID for the order process, I suspect they might be able to.

However, to be safe, i just read out the gift card codes and it didn't take up too much of the customer rep's time. Bonus points if you read them out like nuclear launch codes 😂

        • Ahh I was wondering this too. Will keep it out of the account then

        • Thanks mate

        • any discounted prices for iphone 14 pro max anywhere?

  • +2

    Payment details…..loading…….

    …….

It was the pop-up blocker that killed it.

    • +1

Happened to me too with pc chrome, had to switch to Macbook safari browser

  • Can anyone confirm if we get apple to price match and add upgrades? Retailers generally sell base models, i'm looking at get at least 16g RAM for a m2 macbook air.

    • +3

You can only pricematch if it’s the exact same product. Once you’ve added upgrades, it’s not the same anymore (eg., 512Gb Macbook Air vs 1Tb Macbook Air)

  • don't need anything as of right now but am wondering whether to stock up on these for the future

    • I'm stocking for possibly iPhone 15 purchase.

    • There are talks about the economy possibly going into depression soon. Might be a wiser choice to abstain.

  • +3

Great deal. Ran around like an idiot last month to get $20 gift cards at 15%. So much better.

    • Ran around like an idiot last month to get $20 gift cards at 15%. So much better.

Haha! I did the same for a MBP.

This one is such a hassle-free deal.

I guess they used us to prune all the $20 cards first before releasing this one.

      • Kinda fun in a crazy sort of way. Got 2023 MBP :)

  • can not resist, bought another 2 today, instant delivery

  • Was on phone to CBA for two hours to unblock the transactions. Received my gift cards within two minutes. Great deal!

  • got it instantly!

  • anyone else having the checkout spin but not progress

    • If you're using a desktop browser, try using your mobile phone/device instead. I had a lot more luck that way — there might be some other factors at play like VPN/Ad Blockers but I didn't want to play around.

      • +1

Thanks mate, ad blocker was the issue

  • I tried a few time with CBA debit card this morning. Didn't work at all.
And I tried again at night it still shows transaction failed (I tried once with 2x$500 and once with 1x$500). After 5mins, I got 3 giftcards in my email(no invoices etc.)
And my webpage still showing transaction failed.

    • Freebies

    • Nothing in spam folders?

    • Lucky you, better load them up to your account quick

    • +1

But I can see 3x$425 out from my bank account, so no freebies.

      • It is okay then. You got your gift cards and got charged. If you need the tax invoices, then email them and ask. Otherwise, there is nothing to worry about.

  • Ordered with CBA debit card on mobile browser and got within in 4 mins.

  • Anyone know if you can use Apple account balance over the phone? Loaded up my account already, but scared I can’t stack a price match on the phone with the gift cards

    • you mean you redeemed them already to your apple ID? you can most definitely price match over the phone and then pay with the gift cards.

      • Ye redeemed already to my Apple ID. So, it’s possible to use the gift cards redeemed over the phone?

        • +2

Yes. I tried this. Call them up and tell them that you want to pay through your account balance (don't say gift card since this will confuse them and think it is with the actual physical gift card). They will place the order for you directly and setup click and collect on store of choice.

  • Planning to buy macbook pro m2, 16 inch,1tb and got 4000$, 500x4 and 500x4 cards in two emails.
So, planning to buy from educational store. What do i do now?
it looks like it around 3950$ there…

    any suggestions

    • Slightly less on the Apple AOC store -$3830ish

    • Adding that I've ordered the same spec by price matching HN for ~$3880 - through Apple's support line - for pickup in store today

  • Can someone advise,

If I buy gift card and load into my Apple account, can I use that balance for instore purchase?

I plan to trade in my IP13 pro by end of the year and resign on carrier special so can only do this in store. I am concern above mentioned of keeping GC too long and get hacked.

    Thanks in advance….

    • -1

No, you can't use with instore purchase.
They will advise you to go online and purchase the product.

I believe what you can do is to trade in and get the store credit on your apple account then go online to buy it right away then ask them to help set up the carrier.

I am 100% sure what I think is correct, you can try check with Apple as well.

      • So basically you are suggesting to buy it first with GC credit in account plus trade in credit online, then bring the phone into store to setup the carrier offer and to get them to refund $1000 carrier contract credit🤔🤔🤔

Technically that shouldn't be a problem, concern is they return that credit into Apple account not cash….

Edit: Seems doing it my way only need to pay a few hundred dollars extra. May as well wait for special at supermarkets, thanks for the advise anyway.

        • +2

don't redeem the gift cards to use in-store.

"The Apple Gift Card can be used two ways: To purchase products at the Apple Store, bring this email to any Apple Store location before redeeming your gift card. For online purchases, go to apple.com/redeem to add to your Apple Account Balance."

          • @googoogaga: Thanks, like I said, using trade in plus carrier deal mean I will only need to pay a few hundred dollars. Will just hold up closer to the date I need and get special from supermarket.

      • Literally in the description:

"The Apple Gift Card can be used two ways: To purchase products at the Apple Store, bring this email to any Apple Store location before redeeming your gift card. For online purchases, go to apple.com/redeem to add to your Apple Account Balance."

    • This person is just making sht up mate. you can:

"The Apple Gift Card can be used two ways: To purchase products at the Apple Store, bring this email to any Apple Store location before redeeming your gift card. For online purchases, go to apple.com/redeem to add to your Apple Account Balance"

      • +2

the question is "If I buy gift card and load into my Apple account, can I use that balance for instore purchase?"

So the answer is No, I am not making sht up like you as you already answer it yourself.

        • Ah I get it, apologies. that's an important distinction I missed. I can't take my downvote back apparently (which is a bit dumb) but I think you are right than. sorry mate.

          • @Larsson: No worries, its all good.

            • @neohazard: also just ordered something over the phone from apple with the gift cards, and the guy said you can use the gift cards tied to your account in store… so I guess it's a bit mirky. I will confirm in store

              • @Larsson: hmm, interesting case

I bought apple watch for my wife a couple months ago, load all the fund to my account as I am afraid that the gift card may got hacked.
I went to Miranda and they said I can't use the balance on my Apple ID instore so I have to call the Apple Online sale person to get it ordered and put me into the store available pick up time.

Totally took a couple of hours to just get one apple watch.

              • @Larsson:

the guy said you can use the gift cards tied to your account in store

That guy was definitely talking out of his arse.
Account balance use in retail stores hasn't been setup for AU yet. Only in the US and some other countries.

                • @DoctorCalculon: Could very well be, I have had hit and miss with Apple info in general.

For example: chat said only phone support would price match and not the store. Phone support said physical store would price match. Store said they only price match physical stores and not the likes of Amazon….

                  So yeah, could be.

    Imagine Apple go bankrupt! Tonight!

    • Then the whole technology sector of the world will collapse, including China's. It means we have bigger worry about than a few thousand dollar worths of gift card

  • +13

Can't believe these are still available - potentially the biggest discount on Apple products ever

    • I'm tempted to grab another grand so I can buy my next iPad at a discount

    • They’ve been 15% off before when they first switched to Apple Cards from iTunes cards.

      • +1

I don't recall any place doing straight up 15% off as easy as this offer. Best i've seen is Colesworth 15% worth of points which is hard to come by

  • Just bought some, thanks!

  • More generous than Amazon lol. I need more restaurant choice 😩

  • Anyone know if Officework will price beat giftcards?

    • Totally forgot about this 😮

They did it before but it’s still up to their discretion I think.

      • +1

        I tried.

Their lame excuse for not P/M is: product type mismatch - they don't sell digital Apple gift cards.

        • Ah ok. Thanks for that.

  • How the hell is this still in stock and I managed to get the damn thing to work on my CBA debt card, on my phone + Edge and instead of doing 2 x $500 I did 5 x $200 and it approved and came through straight away and I did another 5 x $200 straight after and worked again. I also love how easy it is to redeem on Windows with iTunes, just click the link in the email then the link on the page that opens up and it auto redeems it in iTunes.

    • +1

Perhaps digital cards don’t have the concept of “in stock”

  • Oh no! 😱 This deal has broken the counter, mine reads 104H.

  • +2

I can confirm 133MAC was happy to price match amazon.com.au for the 2023 model Mac Mini M2 Pro ($1899.05 stacked with 15% off).

The price match must be like-for-like, you cannot option the SDD to 1TB etc…

  • +5

I don't know what I'm doing but this deal was so good, I bought 16 x $500 to get a MB16 M2 Max, an Ipad Pro 11 M2 and saving some for an Iphone 15 release + apple care.

    • +1

      I have no words….

    • +3

I thought I was overdoing it getting 10 x $500, so you've made me feel much better. :-)

  • +4

Just bought another 2x500$ gift card lol. Can they stop this deal now? I have weak willpower.

    • +2

I got 2K stocked up, got a 14PM last year so probably won't upgrade this year but might get a new watch if it's any good, still on the S4.

      • +1

        Dooo it!

      • +1

Yeah. I just recently bought a M2 air last month and 13PM last April so I might bite the bullet on a watch and AirPod pros. We shall see :D. If not, I’ll just use the vouchers for 15PM.

        • Should have taken the EDU MBP deal. AirPods Pro 2nd Gen cost comes down to just $180.

    • Will continue until Tuesday

  • Where is WookieMonster for the next predicted double stacking opportunity with a cashback site ?

  • +1

I would love to know how many of these sold.

    • About 50 million’s worth so far, will continue until Tuesday

  • I get "Transaction failed, please contact customer service." on two different credit cards. :S

    • +1

Make sure you check your credit card transaction history though - on the first day when all the errors seemed to be coming up I had 4 similar failures, and then a successful transaction later - but all 4 "failures" had gone through and posted as transactions on my CC …. pondering whether I keep them till the iPhone15, or just sell them on.
Make sure you check your Credit cards as the actual e-gift cards only came through much later via email

  • Looks like I can buy Final Cut Pro and/or Logic Pro in a discounted price….

    • May as well get the bundle - $299 for FCP/ ProMotion/ LogicPro/ Compressor and MainStage.
I originally paid $399 just for FCP

      • +1

Using educations store yeah? Do you own them forever and all updates?

        • Yeah, they're redeemed via the Mac App Store.

  • I grabbed these a few hours after it went live, and I still can't believe it is ongoing.
I wonder if Apple is using this as a mechanism to get people to buy their products (via themselves), and still make bank for profits.
In my case, the first transaction went through, the second one my bank (ANZ) suspected fraud, so they blocked the card - but never told me until I called up.
It was due to the online/ first transaction at the merchant/ rapid transaction nature. Once I confirmed it was all good, they released the temp block.

    • I wonder if Apple is using this as a mechanism to get people to buy their products (via themselves), and still make bank for profits.

Reserve bank: "wtf Apple? y u do dis?"

  • Thanks just grabbed 2k. No idea how I missed this deal earlier lol

  • Use amex platinum edge card can earn 3x points as well. :)

  • Bought $5k worth of cards and picked up a new laptop… now just noticed the same laptop on sale at HN for $4,500 :(

    • +1

Apple should be able to refund the price difference within 14 days but still up to 10%. I did that for an ipad years ago.

      Or just return and repurchase.

    • -1

Can we use more than 8 gift cards in a transaction?

      • -1

        No.

        • ok wondering how come mattyf was able to use $5k worth of cards since we were only able to get a max of $500 per gc.

          • +2

@samdmpr: More than likely he uploaded the gift cards to his Apple account balance.

      • +2

You can use gift cards to load up to $4,999 into your Apple Account Balance, and then on checkout you can add another 8 gift cards. Assuming the gift cards go up to $500 max, you can checkout up to $8,999 worth of goods in a single Apple Store transaction, i.e $4,999 from your Balance plus 8x $500 cards

        • Is it possible to use apple account balance in store purchases?

      • +1

        that's it :)

  • -1

I wonder who is footing the cost of the 15% discount. It won't be entirely Apple.

  • Still available just bought some

  • Gift cards bought with Visa debit (transaction processed/approved) have not sent after two days. Is there a contact number to call and check the progress?

The gift cards bought with a credit card on the other hand were sent within 4 hours, no problem.

  • I was so tempted, but decided to sit it out. Having bought the iPhone 14 Pro, I could not think of any reason to buy anything else from Apple anytime soon (like most OzBargainers, I guess whoever needed or wanted a Mac or iPad already got one for themselves thanks to endless deals here).

This deal is a no brained if one need to buy something right now or in the near future. Otherwise with the current interest of ~5%, stocking up and keeping thousands of Apple gift cards for 2 more years or so for the next iPhone upgrade is probably not worth it imho, given you could almost always get them at 10% every second week from Colesworth whenever you need.

    • The only reason why I stocked up is because I'll probably upgrade my watch this year, plus I have Apple One so it's nice to get a discount on that. I love that this is a cash saving too not some reward point thing you gotta worry about.

      • Fair enough. I’d stock up too if I planned to buy something this year. But I have seen some stocked up to $5k for future purchases, and I’m not sure if it’s worth it if they don’t plan to buy in the next year or so, in the current climate. Not to mention impulse purchases due to sitting on a large amount of gift cards.

  • +1

Got some for Apple One subscription and for monthly Apple Care subscription.

    • How do you pay for the Apple Care+ subscription with gift cards?
I can only see credit card as a payment option.

      • +1

don't redeem it to your account- go instore and buy 3 years worth

      • +1

Mine is setup to debit from Apple credit first if possible then default to credit card. It works for all my Apple subscriptions.

      • +1

On your iPhone go Settings -> Your Account -> Payment and Delivery -> Payment methods and add Apple Credit as an option.

This will only work if you have Apple credit balance so you have to add the gift cards to your account first.

  • 35k clicks. Well played, Coles. Well played.

  • Still available, just ordered 200 * 10, and they arrived at my email a few minutes after purchasing, very nice :)

    • Should've bought 500 * 4

      • I don't know if it was a coincidence but I had constant failures with 2x500 cards and the next day I ordered 5x200 cards and it worked instantly, I don't know if thats because CBA got their shit together overnight or if the 2x500 cards were being weird.

  • +1

Thanks OP got m2 pro Mac mini for $1500 with the unimelb pricing stacked with gift cards

  • just bought a iphone 14 pro max 128gb for 1789 price matched to harvey norman.

  • +2

thank you OP and to all those who shared their comments/experiences re phone price match with Apple. I just did it now, and it went smoothly. I was on the phone with the Apple guy (133MAC) for 15 minutes. They price matched the Iphone 14 plus 128GB for $1,421.10. I used $1,400 gift cards from this deal (15% off) and paid $21.10 via credit card. Fantastic!

    • With which retailer did you pricematch against get the $1421 price?

    • I used $1,400 gift cards from this deal (15% off)

Did you scan the GCs into your Apple ID balance before calling 133MAC?

      • Yes, I did this

        • How does it actually work? You give them your appleID and they transact it? Or do they send you some sort of digital invoice to pay through your Apple account?

          • +1

@kojihama: Every time you call Apple, they verify your Apple ID ownership by sending a push to all of your trusted devices.

  • +1

Surprised this deal is still online ("Offer available from 15/3/23 7am")
Didn't work on my debit card of choice (failure to invoke the 2-step payment verification stage), but my 2nd choice worked.

  • +1

Damn great deal, thanks OP! I’ve got my 2 grand of gift cards ready for the iPhone 15 pro, but is it smart sitting on these for 6 months when I could pick up the 14pro?

    • +2

Aha, that’s how they want you to think! If you bought the GCs with the 15 Pro in mind, it should only be 6 months away—resist the temptation to blow your wad prematurely.

      • +1

Haha you’re right, will go ahead and do some deep breathing and ensure nothing is blown prematurely

    • +2

I'm in the same situation with you. The question to ask yourself is: "do you need a new phone right now?". I'm happy to hold on my iPhone X for another 6-7months so I will wait

      • +2

True, I don't need it right now so I'll take yours and @fraxinus advice. I'm on the X as well so it should be quite a fun jump getting a hold of the 15 pro after 6 years using this old beast. Amazing how well the X still runs but don't want to get to a point where it starts to really slow down and lose updates/compatibility etc.

  • I'm stuck at payment details loading…

    • Got it now, wasn't working with Firefox for some reason

  • -1

Holy crap am I glad I saw this deal. Thanks OP, will future proof any purchases I make at Apple.

Even if I didn't buy the GCs I still come out way ahead saving 15% than making 4.6% on the cash I'd save by not buying these gift cards.

  • Does the Apple education store price match?

  • For some reason with my card it only went through when I did the $100 gift card but nothing above it. Worth trying $100 or below if you are having issues with your card
