Ipad 9th Gen 'new' or iPad Air 4th Gen from 'marketplace' ?
Business use.
Will be using the Apple Pencil (or similar) extensively. Mostly used for drawing/sketching/notes apps - Morpholio Trace, Good notes, etc.
Using an iPad mini 4 at the moment. But mostly for showing photos, etc… not using the above mentioned apps. Trying to go paperless for the notes/sketches while at the desk or on site.
Tight budget - $500 max.
I understand Air 4 is a better device overall.
Really depends if you're after store warranty etc.
Think of 9th gen as the baseline model for 2021 and the Air4 as the midline model for 2020.
Air4 has USB-C, 9 has lightning.
Audio- 9 has audio jack and Bluetooth, Air4 only Bluetooth.

If warranty isn't an issue and lack of audio port isn't a problem I'd personally go the Air4. YMMV.

I'm not sure if warranty should be an issue or not? I've been using the iPad Mini 4 since last 7 years (although sparingly)…no problems fortunately.
Audio port is definitely not a problem. Media consumption as of now will be low to none.
Think I'll look up one of the refurb ones from greengadgets and the likes…
The air. No question. Far superior screen. Pencil 2 is far better and much easier to charge than the awkward 1.
Officeworks are currently listing a higher price for Macbook, so an extra 5% there.
I wonder if TGG will do a afterpay sale?
