KitchenAid Classic Mixer $387 Delivered Priority Express

320

Classic is a little more compact than the artisan, a lower wattage motor and a slightly smaller bowl. I see these mainly as positives given it's so heavy it needs to stay out in the kitchen, a bit smaller is better!

Reviews are on Amazon are highly positive. Any colour as long as it's white!

Edit **** Currently out of stock but you can click on "5 new from £284.00" and place on backorder!!

  • Keep in mind that due to its model (ie, the classic, and not the more common "artisan" model) a lot of the attachments won't work.
Still, a fantastic price, particularly due to the fact that it includes delivery.

    • Any attachments in particular? The ones I looked at seemed to fit both

      • The attachments you add to the front of the mixer should all work, but any extra bowls (ie, the glass one), or the ice cream maker, whisks, dough hooks or anything that goes in the mixer will be slightly different.
Similarly, the protector shield will have to be specifically ordered for the classic.
(note that the classic doesn't come with a shield)..

    • Are you sure? I thought all attachments were interchangeable or is that only with the US models?

  • 'Any colour as long as it's white!' doesn't give much option does it?

    • +10

Yes it does. You can choose white if you wish.

  • Thinking of getting this for my wife, but stumble with Kenwood Chef Classic
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kenwood-Classic-Kitchen-Machine- Silver/dp/B000Q7ZCFK/ref=sr_1_1?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1343800631&sr=1-1 only for 179 GBP.

Which one should I buy? any advice please…

    • As a husband who has given a spouse a kenwood, and her sister got a kitchenaid, I have been told clearly there is no contest. Go with the kitcheaid. (That said, she wants a red one).

      • +4

Either that, or break her sister's kitchenaid.

        • Make rock cakes… with real rocks!

    • +4

If you just want her to make you cakes, get the Kenwood
If you want her to make you cakes and get some 'appreciation' on the side, get the KitchenAid

      ;)

  • How about warranty?

  • +1

    Now GBP284 = AUD423

  • Oh no not KitchenAids again….

I presume this is 220V? Any warranty info?

  • For some reason when I go to check out price is 236GBP + 22GBP shipping = 259 GBP = $401AUD

    Even cheaper than expected!

    So tempting…

  • For a $120 more you can get the Artisan model. Kenwood KMX 51 is $343 delivered.

    • They won't ship the Artisan to Aus unfortunately

      • Yes, they do. When I tried it it worked.

  • What can you use this for?

    • why are people crazy about these things? what make them special? how good are they? what can they do? just mixing and stirring stuff?

      • "just mixing and stirring stuff?"

        Yeah that's all… kinda funny really …

      • You can also get attachments like the pasta maker, ice cream maker, meat grinder etc.

    • Mixing.

  • have a look at this web for the newer ones at a good price

    http://www.220-electronics.com/Kitchenaid_Mixer_220_volts/Ki…

    • With international shipping it bumps the price up to $651AUD delivered from 220-electronics, unless im doing something wrong, its not really worth the hassle of ordering from overseas for the artisan model.

Anyone else find the 220/240v model of the artisan at a cheap price (including delivery)?

  • My hubby bought me a KitchenAid 4 years ago - he's still being "appreciated" for it lol - mine is the shiny cherry red one though….

    • "mine is the shiny cherry red one though…."

the kitchenaid or your ……oh, I'm guessing you're talking the kitchenaid :)

    • +1

I'm surprised they haven't released a "(50 Shades of) Grey" version with all the action these mixers are getting men LOL.

  • If only my missus wasn't obsessed with purple. Would she appreciate the classic or is it likely she'll be annoyed because it means she can't get an artisan until this one breaks?

    • As a woman, I would definitely much rather have the purple one if that was my thing.

  • This deal does not work anymore - no more shipping to OZ!
