          Only the 4090 desktop will cost basically the value of the whole laptop. How much for a complete desktop setup? $4k at least?

            @Nefe: Very true, not trying to say a desktop 4090 build is better than this insane deal just saying if hellas ends up going desktop route with a higher budget perf will be amazing. Wasn't kidding about heat output into a room tho it's kinda ridiculous.

            @Nefe: That is not fair. Performance of mobile 4090 is btw 4070TI desktop and 4080 desktop. It shall be compared with a 13600kf + 4080 desktop which will cost almost the same or slightly more if you add a 1440p 240hz monitor and windows 11 license.

    Just got a call from HP saying that the estimated wait time is 4-8 weeks.

    Was given these options:

    1. Keep the order and get extra 5% off.
    2. Cancel the order and get full refund.
    3. Cancel the order and get 20% off the next purchase.

        I choose to wait. HP is going to have a new product announcement in Apr03 with rumour that there will be a new model of Omen (plus?). I hope that is the reason for the delay and we will get the new one instead.

          I go with 5% extra, because in 2016, there was similar sale, i waited 8 weeks, got newer model/version (hp said the sale model was not available so they upgraded new version for me) plus extra 5% discount!

            @TripleJJJ: There are heaps of unboxing videos of omen 17" 40 series but none of them is 4090. No image from the internet neither except the product page (that could be rendered images from previous gen)

            I am just hoping there will be new design of the omen 16" and this one could adapt the same design, like ROG Strix Scar 18 vs 16. I would not expect something different from the specsheet but looking forward to better thermal design and a keyboard with numpad

        you'd be pushed to find another 4090 laptop for $3390 anytime soon, less 11% (at the time) cashback rewards and a further 5% off. unless you need a laptop asap. $3390 - $169 (5%)- $335 (11%) = $2886

    They didn't advertise it but the laptop has advanced Optimus which let's you easily switch between iGPU and dGPU to save battery.

    Posting from my new HP Omen!

    The screen wobble isn't that bad, not like it wobbles while using it. They keys feel a bit small, not used to them yet. Wish there was a number pad. Also wish the screen was glass, touch and 4K. The charger is twice the area of my phone lol.

      That's probably a firmware issue to do with windows
      I had that issue on my desktop and tech support at work did some updates which fixed it.

    My laptop was delivered today but the keyboard isn't working. Anyone experience the same thing? The backlight works but that's about it.

      Damn, mine has worked no problem have you tried uninstalling drivers via device manager (will have to plug in an external keyboard) and then restart comp while connected to the internet should reinstall via windowa update. That worked for me when my older laptop trackpad had issues

          Your keyboard may be locked. There is a video in YouTube showing holding shift for 10s to lock and unlock it.

      Mine is at -0.025v. otherwise it will be unstable and restart in 1-2 hrs. Not a strong cpu in my case.

      No I've had no issues with the wifi. Works on both 2.4 and 5gz bandwidth .
      Tested gaming a couple of times . Works well.

      Hmm. I'm not sure. Could it be the ISP?
