  • Great for smaller backyards… Had this since 1 year.

    • How easy was it to put together?

      • +1

i was able to do it myself under 3 hours. just read the manual multiple times before u start so u dont make mistakes….since its a small one its easy to DIY

        • Haha don’t refute it being diy, but damn 3 hours, there is no way I can keep my two occupied for 1 hr let alone 3 😂

@Jimothy Wongingtons: iPad and YouTube usually works a treat ;)

            • +1

@TheFIREnanceGuy: Yeah, with a little pre-viewing, it should only take an hour or two max.

That may be quick enough that you only need one dose of phenergen to complete the job without interruptions…

            • @TheFIREnanceGuy: My 3 year old knows how to already turn on the lounge projector and ask google to play him Blippi on YouTube 🥲

Ipad is no longer a ‘treat’ haha

              • +1

@Jimothy Wongingtons: Blippi and the girl spin-off are banned in my house, blocked on Netflix and just totally forbidden.

          • +1

@Jimothy Wongingtons: Agree, had to wakeup early mrmg to finish the job before my little devil wakes

            • @hopper: My two wake me up at 5 usually - blackout curtains, aircon on, air purifier on, white noise machine, favourite soft toy - doesn’t matter. 😭

@radissimo: Melatonin helps with getting them to sleep (if they're suffering from sleep onset insomnia), not extend their sleep (though watching Blippi late into the evening is a sure recipe for preventing them from unwinding and settling down). Besides, 5am is morning — get up, lazy!

Just put up ours. Husband and myself with toddler helper did it in an hour, still have to just lace the net to the mat/padding. I’m assuming that will probably take another hour so that’s tomorrows job

        • How did you go to lace the safety net ?
I built mine yesterday and the safety net seems too small. Is it tight of the springs loops (triangle)? I went for every 5 holes in the safety net

          • @0li: My husband did it but didn’t seem too tight in ours? I’ll check in the daylight for you

    • How does it hold up in wet weather? Has rain caused any major issues or rust?

      • No issue so far.

  • Bit big pretty sure it will hit my ceiling fan .

      Desiccated toddlers.

Like “battered wives”, sounds delicious, but wrong…

That aside, trampolines and monkey bars are the one of the best investments you’ll ever make in giving kids a reason to play outside and get off devices. We’ve moved from a 6ft to 12ft to 16ft tramp, and it still gets daily usage as we approach high school.

Great price OP, and big enough to keep them occupied until 6 or 7 years of age.

  • Can you get little trampolines like the little inground 4ft versions at playgrounds?

Dig a hole and chuck this in?

      • +1

        dig a hole

“Dale dug a hole. Tell 'em Dale”.

  • It has been this price for a while.
I got one about 6 weeks ago

      Why didn’t you post it?

      • -2

        Didn't want to

        • Fairies muff.

    • So it’s not a bargain or what?

  • How safe is this for kids? Emergency doctors have stated that this is one thing they wouldn't buy for their kids based on what they've encountered

    • +3

Right up there with peanut butter, fast food and any device powered by button batteries.

In the same way that police don’t want their kids spending time in the company of priests, teachers or sports coaches.

Sometimes a little exposure to life is a critical part of learning boundaries, judgement and resilience.

Any kid that can’t handle a trampoline, is gonna get spat out by the big wide world when they grow up. Unless you’re planning on taking down the net, putting four kids on at once and supplying lashings of dishwashing liquid, it’s plenty safe enough…

Yeah in my day it was natural selection if you hit your head on the metal frame of flew off the side.

        • Titanium reinforced collar bones…

Say it brother. If God had wanted all the idiots to breed, he never would have invented Darwin…

  • Castle hill has 14 available

Order it from the service desk and they will ask you to pick up from the loading dock

  • 75kg max the norm? Can see this being an issue for random aunts/ uncles..

  • There's also a $49 4.5ft one for y'all boys & girls.

  • Random question: I've got a 10ft one with a ripped enclosure. Where's the best (i.e. cheapest) place to get an enclosure replacement?

    • +2

EBay, esp if you can find a seller who participates in one of their 15-22% off sales. Mytopia and a couple other regular trampoline sellers often do and I’ve bought replacement nets and pads thru then. Just make sure you get a model with the same size, number of legs and net either inside or outside the springs…

  • Can this be placed on concret backyard? What do people use instead? Looking at these small ones since pandamic but was put off because they need to be put on grass land. Thanks!

    • +3

From memory, they always stipulate placing them on a level grass surface and not on a hard surface such as asphalt or concrete.

I'd suggest this is just to mitigate against the possibility of falling out of the trampoline and onto a hard surface, but in nearly ten years of ownership, I've never had a kid topple out. As long as you've mounted the net and ensure the door access is secured, there's really no way of falling out. At just 8ft, I doubt you'd be able to get enough leverage for a nuclear double bounce to ever get someone over the net barrier - so you're unlikely to ever have an issue if placed on concrete…

Thanks for your input. Really appreaciated!

  • Anyone find sunshade for this size of trampoline?
