I’ll support the company that provides the best service (hint: that’s generally not Australia’s shitty retail companies unfortunately).

  • Store?

How long will this 450g tub last for one bin?

    • +6

We used up to 6 months for 450g tub.

  • Can you use this in Fogo bins?

    • +1

That's what I am going to use it for, the small one in the kitchen and also the big compost bin and red bin.

      • +1

        also the big compost bin

Is it a good idea to add pesticide to your compost?

        • That's a good question; from what I have researched so far, the two actives in this powder are easily biodegraded in the environment and do not leach into waterways.

  • Wonder if this kills ants?

    • +1

Looks like it kills insects such as black house ants, house flies, american cockroaches & blowfly maggots

      I prefer the berry flavour…

    • They still seem to let you order at that price despite being "out of stock" (for now).

Also, the 3-pack for the Berry Blast ($15) is still showing available as next day delivery, while the individual ones is showing April delivery date.

      • Thank you . Bought!

in my area the red wheelie collection is every fortnight so this was a godsend.

    • +4

What? Why? What is wrong with your council?

      • I think 2 week gaps are just the standard collection time in Coffs Harbour, unfortunately

      • Most councils will be moving to this model unfortunately, with green waste being every week

  • So do you guys recommend the spray or the powder?

In winter maggots arent an issue at my place, but Dec-Feb they are.

    • +1

I first tried spray from aldi/coles. They are useless for maggots treatment and this power made a huge different especially Citrus Fresh Fragrance.

    • Just speculation rather than anything scientific, but I believe that the powder sucking up the moisture in the bins would in itself make it harder for bugs to survive.

      • You only add a teaspoon, I doubt the moisture absorption has any effect.

  • sorry a bit confused, is it a powder? do you just add some in your green bin every few days or what?

    • +2

yes. it is in powder form. just sprinkle a teaspoon of this powder into bins.

      • Ah nice, so do you do it just once a week after it's been tipped?

        • I do weekly especially with all the nappies. I used to wash the bins weekly due to maggots but not anymore after using this.

  • How's this vs salt I've been told to put in.

How much do you need to put in so that it can absorb the liquid

  • OOS on amazon

Had 3 kids never had maggots in my bin. Do you not bag the nappy first?

  • Seems a bit irresponsible to casually use neonicotinoids!
