  • Is this worth buying…? I mean is it the best at this price point?

    • +1

Clear shared this one yesterday https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/13525874/redir

Wasn't able to post as deal as mentioned in the comment.

      • Thanks

Store feedback is now 96.2% positive, so, yeah, I did beat @clear to it 😄

        • Different store and slightly cheaper I think.

    • From what I've seen, it's @clear's favourite, but with a bit more dollars you get twice the RAM in the Blackview Tab, and with even more dollars you get a substantially bigger screen with the Honor Pad (not that I think any of them is necessary as 10.4" is plenty and RAM can be easily expanded with a microSD.

      • MicroSD increases storage not RAM

      • +1

The alldocube has a better cpu in Helio G99 vs unisoc 616. Storage is expandable anyway, ram is more important. If I didn't get a Cn rom legion y700 ($400Aud for the 12g 256 version) I'd prob get this. In my brief search seems like the best of the cheap china tablets.

        • Please share where to get the Y700 at that price. TIA.

          • @rabau: I got it earlier this month from Aliexpress. The name of the store was "Factory Direct Store" and I used a coupon code that is no longer available. The ad for it admittedly didnt look 100% convincing and was in Chinese too, but they are one of the largest stores on aliexpress and sell a lot of generic things, a lot of which are also trash lol.

I brough a iplay 40 pro and the usb-c charging port failed after 1 and half year… now it just a brick.

    • +1

I've have an iplay40 Pro which is still going strong, sometimes freezes, I think it's can't handle the multiple user profiles (kids and adults separate). But generally happy still. I only browser the web, and buy stuff, so not a heavy user.

Same with this iPlay 50, although I got 6 months before it failed. Couldn't find anyone to repair, so it's a brick too.

It was good while it lasted although it appears the charging socket is fragile and need to be babied.

Had I used a right angled USB C cable from the start it may be still going. Recommend sticking to these or similar to minimise stress.

Similar to me with two of the 40s. Avoid, kids are not gentle.

Seems to be a common problem - have had the same problem.

      Buyer beware!

  • Is there an official shockproof case for these or even a high rated 3rd party one?

    • +1

This is what I got for the Lenovo I bought from Aldi. It's pretty rugged.

      • Does the stand hold up?

        • +1

Yes. Both ways, but only landscape. Others do portrait and landscape, but I couldn't find any rugged ones that did.

      • +1

it fits the aldi lenovo m10 3rd gen , perfectly ?

  • Can anyone see refresh rate of the screen? One of the reviews points out janky scrolling experience

    • 60hz according to newtube.

  • Make sure to double check the difference between the "pro" and the standard and consider which one is more suitable for you

    • Interesting… Better CPU, better GPU, half the nm, double the RAM… and same Antutu?? Unlikely.

  • Cheapest I get is is US $152.97 using code AN9

Total item costs - US $165.74
    Saved - US $28.00
    Total shipping - Free
    Tax - US $15.23

    • Yeah, not sure; I went by what's on the image (plus GST).

Ali can be slippery with it's prices.
