  • Anyone have these? Latest firmware ruined my AirPod pros, I can hear everyone around me speak, looking for alternatives

  • Lots of reviews on YouTube and they seem to be good reviews. Battery life seems a bit short.

ordered as seems ok, i have had 3 of their speakers sets over the years including most recently the D12 bluetooth chunky speaker (which rocks!) and rate em highly for the price point… good company

Agree, I bought the W820BT for about $30 in 2021 and very happy with them.

Ordered these on 25th March, but not received yet? Anyone else faring any better?

    • +1

Also ordered on 25 March - also haven't received them yet. In fact, I haven't actually received an order confirmation or full receipt :(

      • Hmmmm….in this day and age, pretty sure that's not really acceptable!?

        • I got mine this morning, and the left earbud does not hold a charge, so that’s great.

          • +1

@smartazz104: Mine arrived yesterday too. And guess what? Mine won't charge either. Had them charging all night long and fiddled with them for an hour or so today and yep, cant get EITHER of the buds to charge. The red light on the case just goes off after about 20 seconds, possibly the case is fully charged? But the buds themselves are down to 2% or something and they won't charge and turn off immediately after pulling from case. Almost immediately anyway. So frustrating. I'm arranging a return. Sigh.

          • @smartazz104: Mine arrived yesterday, and seem to have the same issue here. :/

            • @Pox: Same to me, can't charge, can't put it into pairing mode. Wireless1 is asking me to contact Edifier directly. What should I do for a return/refund?

              • @yywking: I've contacted edifier, I'll see what they say. If they're happy to provide a replacement I'll probably go with that (since it seems like wireless1 have a bad batch, and maybe know it?) Otherwise I'll be asking wireless1 for a refund - as the retailer, they are legally obliged to refund or replace a faulty purchase.

                • @Pox: Yeah they think their policy of making the customer contact the manufacturer directly will fly. Also I don't think as replacement will be good, seems like they've got a bad batch on their hands,..

                  • @smartazz104: Just came back here to check this thread as I've had the same issue. Received my initial set very quickly, had the LH dead issue, contacted Edifier as I could not get the units to go into pairing mode, they confirmed faulty. Contacted Wireless1 and sent old ones back at their cost for a replacement pair. Received the new ones today and exactly the same issue. Failing to charge and only RH side working. What a joke. In a way I'm glad at least there is a pile of others with the same issue so I know it's definitely not me.

                    • @Maximum64: I sent mine back and asked for a refund, didn’t want to risk receiving another faulty pair from what is obviously a faulty batch of products they were trying to flog off for cheap.

                      • @smartazz104: My replacement pair arrived this morning, looks like I got lucky this time - I've been listening for half an hour now with no issues, still reading 100% battery.

                • @Pox: Thanks @Pox
Please let us know how you go!

                  • @HappyPants: Received mine yesterday and they have the same issue - don't hold charge/connect. I've contacted Edifier, and their response suggests to 'reset the buds and try again', and failing that, to provide a video. They also mention that a receipt from the supplier may be needed (still haven't received it from Wireless1, so chasing them too). What a pain this has been :(

@spokeydokey: Crazy. I think I'll just try and organise a return with Wireless 1 then? It seems crazy that they are trying to offload the responsibility to Edifier themselves.
No wonder they were cheap. 100% think Wireless 1 knew about these problems already. So dodge.

                  • +1

@HappyPants: Edifier support gave me some basic troubleshooting steps, then directed me to contact the retailer; so I'll be emailing wireless1 tonight.

@Pox: I've got this from Edifier: After confirming, since the direct seller was Wireless 1, they should proceed further with your warranty. Could you please kindly try contacting them again to claim warranty? If they request for any RMA number or anything else, please kindly tell Wireless 1 to confirm with their first-level agent. You can also quote our conversation for them. We are sorry for the inconvenience this matter has caused you.

          • @smartazz104: Yep, same here. Left one offline/not charging, right one drains about 10% every 30sec to a minute.
Share responses from Wireless1 so we can try and call their bluff.

            • @Maxxiz: So after returning the original set back to Wireless one, they approved a replacement pair. They arrived yesterday. Unfortunately these ALSO do not work or charge. They seemed to have a bit of charge originally when I first took them out of the case, and like you, the LHS earbud dropped 10% of charge every 20 seconds or so til they just died. The RHS one never worked or took a charge at all. This is first thing today after playing with them alot last night and then leaving them on a (wall charger) overnight. What a stupid frustrating situation. I don't want a replacement anymore, I want a refund. Which is a shame, because they SEEM well built and have quite a few features. But they simply don't work. Funnily enough, I bought 2 pair of some of those $6.99 Bluetooth cheap over ear headphones from that recent amazon deal and both work fine. What a disappointment these have been. Surely Edifier must be aware of this dodgy batch?

              • @HappyPants: So was waiting on my outcome, just received a replacement unit too.
Again, exact same issue. Charged for 12 hours and when connecting it the L bud not even online, R on 45%.

Did you have any luck getting a refund?

                • @Maxxiz: I'm still stuck with my second set of earphones after the first ones were replaced under warranty, eventually. Second set have the same issue.
Wireless 1 have been extremely disappointing and I won't be purchasing anything from them ever again. They are also trying to get me to return the faulty second set to the manufacturer. The legal obligation is obviously with the retailer.
Wireless one repeatedly ignored my emails and I eventually had to call them. They once again are trying to get me to deal with the manufacturer.
The saga continues. Hard to believe these earphones were purchased in March, and it's now June, and I still don't have a working set of earphones and Wireless one still have my money. No wonder we all all shop at Amazon. I've had incredible service from them. If they make a mistake, they fix it. Wireless one are just wasting my time. :(

                  • +1

@HappyPants: I returned my second set a week ago having recieved them with the same fault.
I emailed them citing some lines from the ACCC Website specifically about it being the retailers responsibility, and that the consumer is entitled to refund or replacement, also requested a shipping label.
They emailed me back with a shipping label. Only arrived back there yesterday so watch this space.

                    But yes, it's very disappointing.

                    • @Maxxiz: Thanks so much, really appreciate all this info.. I'll be calling them again tomorrow if they haven't responded to my email to them today. Thank you for the update.
Obviously they want me to just give up and forget about it? Not gonna happen :)

Also have charge back with the credit card as an option. Going down that route is probably faster.

                      • @HappyPants: Yeah keep at them.
I actually just got my refund from them, so it is possible

          • +1

@smartazz104: Shipped my faulty unit back to Wireless1 today, will see what happens.

            • @yywking: Same here, after a few back and forth of 'go speak to the manufacturer'

              Neh

  • I received mine and they work well. No issues with pairing or charging.
