You can't say crankbrothers on the internet.

    Why are you peddling this?

  • Meh composites for $50+ regardless of brand aren't much of a deal.

There's only a few valid shapes and pin out patterns before it becomes a question of material or connection type and then it's metal and/or clipless.

I'd rather PNW or OneUp or Deity

    Why are pedals so expensive?
One steel spindle, a couple of bearings, and a cast alloy/plastic platform. OK, 2 pieces of re-inforced plastic in this case.
Bill of material is ~$1, and technology has not really changed in 50 years, except for weight.

I've had my DMR V8 pedals for almost 20 years now and I've moved them across a couple of bikes. I reckon it comes down to the quality of the seals and the bearings. My V8s are all metal so that plays a part. Chris King hubs and headsets are also known to last for eons. The engineering to make something last through mountain biking can't be cheap so buy once or buy many, it depends on how much you can spend at that time.

~$50 seems pretty reasonable for something that can take an absolute pounding and could have some dire consequences if it fails at the wrong time..

Grips seem like the real rip off to me.

Great price but bad pedal design. Middle section is raised so your weight is placed over slippery plastic instead of the pins.

  • Thanks OP. Bought one.

  • Had a pair of these on my flatbar for a few years. Probably wouldn’t recommend as the grip is pretty trash

  • Not sure if small is OK. I wear 10.5US-44EU shoes, anyone with similar shoe size knows if small fits?
