    Price in title please.

    • Oops my bad, thanks as always to the mods team for amending

      • Thanks for sending me a rude message to confront my comment above. I just highlighted an error in your post but you took it as an insult. Good on you.

        • +4

          what did the message say?

          • @andresampras: “When a poster omits a price, report it to the mods, don’t be a smart arse. It’s simply an omission, a human error”.

              • @sumyungguy:

in a workplace, broadcasting a private message verbatim will get you terminated.

Which workplace is that? Am I breaking the law every time I forward an email?

In common law it's illegal to publish a private conversation without consent.

Got a link to support this? Genuinely interested.

              • @sumyungguy: Did you mean to say "Sorry. I shouldn't have sent you a private message, and I'm sorry it was so rude, especially as you were so polite in pointing out my error. I was just having a bad day." ??

$39 premium (pre discount) for one 20w USB-C port is crazy.

what exactly is the use case for a power cube? It looks really cool but I've never found the right excuse to buy one…

if anything it seems to be worse than a power board with power plugs pointing in all different directions

    • It’s ergonomic I believe. You can also add one above the other. Can also attached beneath the desk.

      • +2

        It’s ergonomic I believe.

Like mentioned in the comment that you replied to, and as seen in the pics, it's hardly "ergonomic".

worse than a power board with power plugs pointing in all different directions

        • I imagine there’s a particular layout where it’s handy but yeah … had one not mounted and it was always sticking out and in the way.

      • +1

Desk mounting is the best means there is a hidden easy acceas power point

        • You lose a port when desk mounting.

    • +4

One use case would be for Bulky/Weird Shaped Power Supply, which would usually block the next port on a normal Power Board.

      Travel

      • Are these compact?

        • Relatively. I've used them for travel.

    • +1

Novelty factor. In practice they are typically a pain in the ass.

It is slightly more compact than a regular power board, until you start plugging things into it.

      • +1

I second that. It looks good until you start plugging things into it and now you have power plugs on top, bottom, left and right. It becomes messy and horrible.

      • Agreed, got a couple from Target originally and they are absolute rubbish. Good price but you would be better just getting a proper powerboard

    • +1

You are dead right. I got one for free and it’s horrible to use.

    • Best use for hanging it in the workshop, if you got a power outlet on the ceiling you can plug your powered tools in instead of the cord running across the floor or work bench.

      • I can see some logic in that

    • Space efficiency for travel

    • I prefer these from travelling compared to a powerboard. You can get them with much longer cables and they pack reasonably well.

  • +1

These are cool. But the USB ports aren't grounded, or don't seem to be. They are just as cheap as your Woolworth's branded power board they are just cube shaped. They come with a thing to clip it under the desk at least. I personally wish the Power Squid were sold here.

    • You can easily buy them here, just not AU plug, that’s the issue.

This is my Italian confidential secretary. Her name is Alotta. Alotta Fagina.

  • Does this have a power delivery limit?

  • Pretty cool design but just feel the usb ports of 5V 2A is a bit underpowered these days

Will be more useful if it’s a 20W type C PD port

    • But then it would cost triple this if it was on sale.

  • +1

I've got a few variants of these - they seem to be relatively good quality, but the cube design simply isn't practical for any use case I've encountered.

I've got one on my bedside table but can't use all 5 sides since one has to be either the mounting point or the bottom to stop it sitting on an adapter/outlet cable.

  • I see $19.99 not $9.99

    • +1

I would take that to mean the flash sale is over.
