Their website is (profanity) on iPad Safari. Get to the payment screen and it only has a text box for Name on card and expiry date, no text box for CC number or CVV even though it has the heading for it.

Guess I’m not ordering a SIM then!

  • If I were you, I'd activate now because starting next month in May there is click frenzy Mayhem that may have lot of Sims only on sales :-) https://clickfrenzy.com.au/

  • how much notice do i need to give them before i port out. i know mate requires a month notice meaning you would be charged a full price month even if you port out before the end of the $1 billing period (given less than 30 days to end of deal)

  • can i port my number in later? during sign up seems like if i selected port in it wants to port in straight away?

  • Does it have credit check? Can anyone who applied confirm?

  • What's an expiry like on these sim plans? I still have over 4 months left with the existing provider. Can't find any related info on the Tangerine's website.

  • God damn it no eSIM support! Why do all the Telstra MVNOs still have no eSIM support?!

    • woolies mobile does

has anyone actually tried to activate the new sim you received?

5/5 activation failed. have to call in so they can activate them over the phone. Plus hold time , totally wasted me 1 hour …..

not a great experience to start with

The sim arrived in the mail a few days ago. Planned to activate in June as previous comments says I have 3 months to activate.

Today I received an email saying “If you have not activated your SIM in the next 30 days, unfortunately your order will be cancelled, and you will not be able to activate your SIM.”

    • Got same email, says activate by midnight 15 May to get the 2 months free

  • Like others have posted, I am unable to sign up on iPhone or iPad. Go get squeezed Tangerine!

Activation/ transfer from mate went smooth. 10 min and was online

    • I had a pushy little text from Tangerine today asking me to activate ASAP. Sorry Tangerine, you're not on the todo list until weekend. 🤣 Hopefully will be smooth sailing.

Like some of the others, I received an email that I need to activate the SIM within 30 days or the order will be cancelled(contradicts the "if not activate within 3 months, pay $10 fee")
Also, there was an important note that I must activate by 11.59pm 15 May 2023 to be eligible for the 2 months Easter Promotion.

This was not stated in the T&C of the Easter Promotion when signing up. Before signing up, I even confirmed with a sales rep online chat(Niefel) that I had 3 months to Activate(to avoid the $10 fee) and was eligible for the 2 months free promotion as long as the online order was placed by the Promotion expiry 1 May 2023(& I can activate SIM post 1 May 2023 within 3 months of order)

I've been on the phone with Tangerine & asked to escalate to management as the way they've handled the T&C misinformation of this Easter Promotion is unacceptable.

They apologised for sending the email with the 15 May 2023 deadline late as it should have been sent at the time of the order. I even have the chat transcript from the Sales Rep, but Tangerine said there was nothing they could do to change the 15 May 2023 deadline.

So I've had to activate my mum & dad's SIM today in case there are any delays in porting over their numbers as confirmed from the email the activation needs to be "completed" by the 15 May 2023(not commence). Usually porting takes several hours but can be delayed up to 3 days when there's issues.

I ordered an additional SIM card with a new number but didn't receive the 15 May 2023 activation deadline for this SIM(I only received the deadline email for the 2xSIMs porting current numbers). Asked why, the Rep said it's because there's no porting of current number, but the same deadline also applies to all SIMs ordered from the Easter promotion. So could some customers not get notified of this deadline if they are not porting existing numbers?

Like others, using my existing Tangerine online portal to activate keeps giving you an error. I had to call up to have a rep manually activate.

        Shocking experience with Tangerine
with their unclear Promo's T&C, misinformation, keep changing activation timeframes (>3 months=$10 fee changing to 30 days=Cancellation and post 15 May 2023 deadline=no longer eligible for the 2 months free promotion)

        Apologies for the long post.
Warning others in case you haven't received an email.

        • Can't seem to msg you but would you mind sharing the transcript that you had with the rep stating that you had 3 months to activate?

I didn't activate the SIM on time and am trying to get out of paying the $10 fee.

          • @puzzles2: I've sent you Transcript copy to PM

            • @NDIB: can you please send my Transcript copy too? thanks!

        • @NDIB Could I please get a copy of the transcript as well? Very much appreciated.

            11:29
You can activate it within 3 months
            Nifiel

  • they are scams, they are trying to charge me $50 dollars and telling me that they sent me a email about the bills which I never received.
