  • how many hz is this TV? cant find info

    • -1

i think it says motion rate is 100
what do you think that means?

      might mean 100hz

      • "might mean 100hz"
Ahaha, nope, usually means 50 or 60hz…

    • 100

      • alr thank you didn't know myself haha

    • oops its in the heading :/ thanks guys

    • +1

      50Hz

      • -2

        how is it 50Hz??????

    • +1

The specifications sheet says HDMI type 4K@60Hz with HDCP version 2.2.

Motion rate 100 was already a giveaway, but the above confirms it's only 50/60Hz.

BTW this was around $500 with the existing sale combined with the 20% off code earlier in the week. (Plus cash rewards 12% off)

      • Still unclear as ever if its 50 or 100hz?

FYI Toshibas are made by hisense.

    • +1

is that good or bad, I have a 2017 hisense and it has been good

      • -1

i'd say hisense is right up there with samsung, sony and LG
i think selling toshibas is basically just a way of saying that this product is a budget hisense?????

quality would be good too, its been designed in japan

        • What evidence is there to say it's designed in Japan? Toshiba's TV arm was sold to Hisense.

          • @Dice: check their official website
            how can they lie

            • @Alph4: You're right. The Toshiba AU website even specifically says this series was designed in Japan.

          • +3

@Dice: designed in Japan by China

i'd say hisense is right up there with samsung, sony and LG

          You'd be wrong, very wrong

  • Thanks OP.. I had a 200 dollar voucher for good guys from the TCLC835 I bought. Given the price and good reviews .. 500 bucks for a 65 inch UHD from a reputable manufacturer is a bargain

  • I dont quite get the comments about Hisense..when they came to Oz 5 years back I think ..they were outstanding..Panasonic panels for a fraction of the price..I bought a 75 inch Hisense because of the reviews on OZB.. to"upgrade" from a panasonic plasma that weighed a tonne and cost me about 5k …excellent and still going strong..I also bought a Soniq 75 inch a year before that for the in laws ;-D ..terrible with SD, not bad with HD ..still working very well. The sound and OS on both are terrible.. a firestick 4k and a sound bar .. cheap and easy .. the Hisense has been truly fantastic in terms of picture quality..but the TCLC835 another cheapo but that mini LED sounds better and looks almost as good as my smaller LG C2…except for some reason gets very hot ..Cheap is not always bad.. Hisense I understand has done the old switcheroo so I have never bought another but the one I have is still excellent..C835 everyone was raving about it and it is a peach if you get it at the right price..Soniq .. well no complaints for what I paid.. Anyways maybe I have been lucky so far..moral of the story is thanks OP..needed a 65 inch and this one ticks everything

We bought this set for my brother in law during last week's sale, very good looking tv and picture quality is quite decent. Definitely value for money and also comes with google tv os so a separate streaming device is not required.

This was under 500 with the 20% Promo and 12% CR Cashback couple days ago

  • Had many Hisense for 5+ years.
Yesterday noticed one of the 50N6 has black lines at the bottom. Guess that is led panel issues, not worth to repair…

  • Thanks OP. Our 58” POS Eko almost caught fire last night and left a melted screen for first day of school holidays. Have ordered this as a replacement and been promised delivery tomorrow so fingers crossed.

  • Any reviews of these? Thoughts compared to other budget 4k TVs?

  • Tv has arrived but has marks along the top - any thoughts on what they are and what we can do? Absolutely no damage caused by us upon unboxing.

    • Probably a question to ask seller, they may question how it was transported

      • Thanks I’ve emailed TGG but no reply as yet so I will call them tomorrow. They delivered it to me and I was surprised the delivery guy carried it in on his own and tipped sideways but wouldn’t have thought it would cause this.
