    Nice one, thanks for sharing.

Man. That thumbnail. Be a rough way to travel between Geelong and Melbourne.

    • By a giant in a fluoro jacket and hard hat?

  • Could this possible for ferry from Warnambool to Bairnsdale?

    • +2

Wot. Is there such a thing?

    2 hour commute, screw that.

Might as well work in Sydney while living in Melbourne's West.

    • +2

Yes, everyone should move to Western Melbourne to avoid 4 weeks of delays.

I think I’ll just catch the ferry.

Does Anzac Day count as a weekday? Wouldn’t mind visiting Geelong for a day trip….

    • Ignore my question, yes it works on 25/4, but it’s more suited for people travelling from Geelong going into Docklands rather than the other way round

        do an overnighter?
Any cheap accom near steampacket pier?!?

      • +1

Yeah, tough titty if you commute from CBD to Geelong to work. 🤷

    Only 2 a day?

  • Where's the best place to park, surely that pier car park is going to be full quick

    • +1

Geelong Station is probably your best bet. About a 10 minute walk away.

        awesome, thanks Melbguy

        • Forget the car parking at Geelong Station. it will pack as people attend Magistrates' Court for their hearing. Geelong Magistrates' Court is close to Geelong Station.

          • @Dark Zeus: I’m not a local but considering the morning ferry leaves at 7am, would there still be spots or would it be full by then?

  • It seems to long to get from Geelong to Docklands and then return with limited travel options; will this change?

    • Not quite sure what you’re asking. If you’re asking if you get from Melbourne to Geelong quicker than the rail replacement buses and ferry without driving, I doubt it, short of hiring a chopper or private boat.
