I haven't used this brand with the digital gauge, I have one with a normal gauge and it is great to use and works very quickly.

      Nailed it!

    • Too fat?
      .

A lentil or another legume in the valve cap works pretty well if you're after a healthy alternative

        • +2

If you eat the lentil you can inflate the tyre with methane too.

  • Instructions not clear. Car started making too much noise. Need an inflator now.

    • Bound to be a baseus or xiaomi inflator deal on here soon!

    So this, or my fingernail?

    • If its a bicycle then fingernail.
You might be there for a while deflating a 33" car tyre so I would suggest the deflator.

      • -2

They deflate at the same rate though, pressing with the deflator vs fingernail still releases air at the same rate.

        • +3

That's not how this tyre deflator works. It removes the valve core.

        • +2

Yeah they dont deflate at the same rate.
These deflators remove the valve core, ahem your finger doesn't 🤣

    • Depends if your fingernail is digital or analogue.

      • DAMMIT! Mine is analogue!

      • +3

Arent they all classed as digits?

  • -1

Not a big fan of valve core removal , yes these things are way too fast than all the other methods but if dirt gets in the valve core that's is a pain , so slow and steady probably the way to go.
On another note I have an xtm compressor and the end bit that goes on to the valve is screw on fitting to the compressor hose , I use that to deflate, it is heaps easier than finger nail and it deflates at a much faster rate

Never had an issue with valve removal. I have the exact one and it works perfectly fine. Way faster than not removing the valve. Trick is to just keep a few spare valves with it, in case you lose one.

      • +1 on the spare valves, first time I used one I nearly lost the valve

    • +2

You won't get dirt in the valve core with this type, it remains in the sealed portion of the valve mechanism.

      • +1

You're doing something wrong if you do get sand in the valve core. Or haven't used it right if you disconnect and lose the valve core.
        I 4wd a reasonable amount, I'd consider myself fairly experienced…
…put the dust cap back on after deflation, no issues at all.

Will stick with my analog one. Would piss me off when grabbing it out the tool box and finding a flat battery.

  • I have one of these and it only gets used if I can't find my 2 analogue deflators (it has never been used). Lucky it was a gift and I didn't pay for it. The last thing I would ever want to happen is to go to deflate and realise the battery is flat.

  • When deflate your neighbours car least all 4 tyres will be deflated equally and car will be level…..

  • Do yourself a favour and get a set of the Campboss ones, I will never go back to valve removal ones.

    • I have been looking at the arb pressure control system, that would be my ideal set up.
