looks like the kinda shape you make when you've just installed a 3D modelling program

    • +10

If that was the case it'd look like a donut instead

  • +11

This helped me with wrist pain, takes a few days to get use to though. I definitely feel like I can't aim as well though in certain games, but I guess this also gives me an excuse other than just lag :P

    • +3

I've been trying to use it for work but can't game with it whatsoever.

But not like I have enough time to get rsi gaming these days

    • +1

I've tried gaming with it and whilst I'm not too bad, the slower polling rate and lack of exact dpi control is a bit annoying for finding the right setting.

  • Would have bought it at this price if I don't have 2 already (1 home and 1 work).

    • FFS, some petals got offended by a normal comment…

      • It happens. Try not to let it upset you…

  • Recommend it 100%. However if you have smaller hands/fingers it may not be ideal.

    • There's a smaller one now called the Logitech lift.

  • Thanks. Gonna give this a try. Got the track ball (hurts the thumb a bit but good for when i connect desktop to the tv when sharing screen) and mx master (bit heavy and still have wrist pain) but don't like it

    • +2

I quite like it, was very hesitant but it’s definitely less strain than traditional grip, once you get used to it. Alternate between both for a while is my recommendation.

      • yea good idea to alternate!

Price matching Centre Com in case Amazon sells out. Seems to be free shipping also.

  • +1

i was getting sore mouse hand, then I got a design like this (not this brand, and left handed) and my hand stress/tension pain disappeared nearly immediately.

rather than move the mouse from the wrist, I now move it more from the shoulder.

  • +3

Good price, paid $128 for mine and pretty happy with it. My wife has the Perixx which is lighter and seems more comfortable to me, cheaper too.

  • Hmmm.

What I really want is a trackball… So I can mouse around in bed. Naturally.

    Recommendations?

    • +2

i have the logtiech one for the same purpose (and couch). It;s good for that but thumb hurt a bit from a lot of usage. Increasing the sensitivity of the mouse helped though

    • Having trouble posting link, but I've been looking at the Elecom Relacon

    • +1

I have both the Logitech MX vertical as well as the Kensington orbit trackball. They're both great I would definitely recommend the orbit if you're looking for a trackball.

One thing that annoys me about some trackballs is not having a scroll wheel, the Orbit has a touch sensor for scrolling and the Kensington software allows you to set clicking both right and left click simultaneously to a certain function (I use this for middle click/scroll wheel button). The Orbit is quite small compared to most trackballs which works well for me as it is not my main mouse and I dont want something that takes up a heap of desk space.

  • +2

How’s the scroll wheel? Saw reviews saying it doesn’t have infinite scrolling which shocks me. Comparing to mx master. Really keen but worry about the wheel as I scroll long files

    • As in, no clicking? No, it always clicks.

    • +1

If you mean that fly wheel like scrolling on the MX, then no. But this has been such a relief for my wrist and has actually helped reduce the pain.

      • Yes. Sorry don’t exactly the name but sounds right. I want one single scroll (spin) then it keep scrolling for a while… until I stop it or to the end of the file.

        • +1

          Yeah doesn’t do that.

          • @Lululuke: I bought this mouse and installed software on my Mac called Smooze Pro, which brings accelerated scroll functionality to this (and any) mouse, and works great.

    • +3

Same here…. i need infinite scrolling for the Excel, Word, PDF highways at work.

    • I have the MX master and the MX vertical. I love the vertical but yeah my biggest complaint would be the lack of infinite scrolling that the MX masters have.

      • +1

Yeah I have to pass then. I don’t have wrist pain just want this vertical for prevention, but my finger hurts after long scrolling with normal wheel so infinite scrolling is a must to me. Sadly.

  • +1

I'd love to get this but I'm bummed the device selector us on the underside of the mouse. :(

    • Not a big deal actually

    • +1

Deal breaker for me. Having the button on the top/side on the M720 is so useful

      • Agreed. I flip between 3 devices dozens of times per day.
I'd love it if there was a way to make it that selecting a device on the keyboard, also automatically made the mouse select the same device.

    • +2

Better than having the charging USB port on the bottom.

      • Blows my mind how they could approve that. Imagine chief designers having multiple meetings about that model and said 'charging port at the bottom so you can't use it when charging, what a great idea'

  • Just wondering how big is the hand considered appropriate?

    • +1

      Its definitely for bigger hands.

  • I was having wrist pain from gaming too much and I got an MX Master 3S for the angle and the pain went away entirely. I imagine this would be even better because it got even higher angle, but I wonder if it's really necessary.

  • +2

Used to get catastrophic pain in my wrist and forearm until I got one of these.

Only downside is the TPU coating gets sticky.

  • Gone to 2-4 weeks ETA now

  • This is fantastic.
Bonus points for when friends or family try to use it and jump back a step after getting freaked out by your vertical mouse

  • my hand, especially the thumb hurts so much using the MX Master3. is this much better?

  • This or MX Masters 3?

    • +1

I have both. Answer is "depends".
This instantly got rid of all pain in my arms and wrists.
I don't game so don't care about that.

  • +1

I can see that their other mouse - Logitech Lift Vertical is also on sale too - for $89.00

My brief research (in rtings) shows that the MX Vertical has a rechargeable battery with USB-C, and the Lift Vertical uses AA battery, but has the free scroll?

Would this one be better than the Lift?

    • +4

Lift is for small to medium hands, this for medium to large.

      • Thanks for this. Cancelled my order for the MX and got the lift instead cos I have small hands.

    Mouse wrist sliding pad

This listing got version for Leftie -
    https://m.vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005003541445972.html

I've been using it for more than 2 year now to fix the wrist pain issue. Very comfortable soft silicon pad and ergonomic - you can move your mouse with shoulder/arm instead of your wrist.

Took a couple of days to learn to place your wrist on the pad precisely and comfortably without the need of keeping to adjust your wrist.

  • A Kensington wrist rest fixed all wrist pain issue - if you are looking for a quick cheap fix.

  • Got mine 2 years ago for original price like $149. Battery still going very strong only needs a quick recharge every few months.

    Very comfortable

  • Would be nice if left handed people got a look in for once…

  • Thanks OP. Been wanting it for long. Got two.

  • +1

Been using vertical mice for 7 years now.
Takes a day or two to get used to it, but after that, I can't use 'normal' mouse anymore.

I am on the computer 8 solid hours a day minimum.
My recommendation is this: get generic china made ones from ebay. Last 2-3 years and replace. Never bought brand name ones.
    you get them for $25.

    • Buy quality, not brand names or you are just addding to the pollution problem.

      • Nope, all products have planned obsolescence.
I find high brands ones have shorter lifespans.

        • I have found the opposite (not with mouse, but other electronics) but it really depends. it could be that name brands have more features so more point of failures. Saying that, all of my mouses are still going strong and definitely more than 3 years from cheap to expensive.

      • My $30 Mojo vertical mouse is as good, if not better, than my MX Vertical. Hard to find another Bluetooth vertical one though - they call come with those cheap-feeling 2.4GHz dongles

    • I've been using an Evoluent one for 11 years, never had an issue with it; they're also a much better design than people with musculoskeletal issues

  • Loved it and was waiting for discount on it. Ordered one straight away.

  • Paid $140+shipping and don't regret it. Game-changer!

  • +1

I'm waiting for those brain electros to go on special, so I can control my computer telepathically.

  • Can't recommend it myself tbh. Quite a heavy mouse and I only had occasional wrist pain but using this mouse made it quite worse. Returned after using for 3 weeks. Will look to buy an mx master when next on sale.

  • Bought a second one. I’ve got large hands and I’ve found this mouse to be really good. I work in design and use a mouse all day nearly everyday.

  • Ordered one after it went to back order and just got an email saying delivery time has been revised from 18th to the 6th, nice.

  • Hey MX users - I found an old Logitech Performance MX mouse I tried to use but my laptop wouldn't connect - I think it needed Bluetooth (which doesn't work on my old laptop) ?

I don't game - and the only thing I really wanted to improve over my existing Logitech M185 wireless mouse (which works off a tiny USB plug) was to have a button to close the current web browser tab to save reaching for Ctrl-W 200 times a day

I eventually downloaded and set up the Logi Options+ software to configure the M185 top middle scroll wheel press function to act as keyboard shortcut Ctrl-W - to close the current browser tab - it's a bit hard to press and clunky but it works

I had been looking for a side button like on the Performance MX to do this - close the current browser tab - but didn't find it in any documentation for it - only to go Forward and Back which I guess is a gaming thing

Anyone know how I might set up a side button on this MX mouse to close the current browser tab ?

Waste of time and hard to be accurate, I'm going to return mine when I have time. I recently learned to use the left hand for mousing, it wasn't that hard and I will hopefully get another 20+ years trouble free out of that wrist before 2nd rsi.

Overall Logitech mouses are terrible for one reason - one day you will turn your computer on and probably due to a windows update the mouse no longer works. You'll need to plug a different mouse in or use a t-pad to initiate a logitech options+ update for the mouse to work again. Or maybe they change the software from options to options+ and the mouse no longer works, who knows what crazy thing they will come up with next.

  • Received mine today. Unfortunately there's some jittery/stutter performance with my M1 macbook air so I will be returning mine. I should have known this might happen as i get a similar issue with my M720 but oddly my MX Master works fine.
