    Thanks OP.

  • That is good.
    Discount at 0.133333…

  • +1

    Thanks OP bought one

  • Can this be used at any restaurant nowadays ie. fast food like maccas and so on? If so online too?

    • +1

Yes. I even bought doordash gift card from ShopBack before.

      • Great what do you do with any left over small balances?

        • +2

You will need to find restaurants that are happy to split payment.

McDonald’s and red rooster can do cash+card. Grill’d and Nando’s should be fine with split payment too.

If you go to subway a lot, you can top up your subway account. $10 minimum tho.

          • @me1stt: Can this be used online at Nando's?

          • @me1stt: Or you can get below $1 balance with McDonald's. Still > 12.7% discount

            • @FatTofu: If you can pay by G Pay, yes after linking the card

              • @impoze: I'm trying to add this to G Pay and got an error message "OR-TAPSH-08". How is anyone else?

          • @me1stt: Is there any steps required to top up subway account with restaurant choice digital gift card? I am trying to top up $19.45 on subway and their system is declining the choice gift card.

            • @Summoner: Did you use apple/google pay?

              • @me1stt: No… Probably thats why… Google pay option is not popping up when i try to topup my subcard. So i just attempted using it as credit card. I guess i will have to spend those at Nandos or Grillld as others suggested :O

        • +1

Grill'd is my usual go to for using up leftover balances,

They have no issue doing split paymeny over multiple cards, previously i used more than 5 cards with balances each less than $2

          • @impoze: Did you use apple/google pay or ask them to put the card detail manually

  • -2

I used guest checkout but still asking for a lot of information

    • +1

This card is notorious for asking details, and verifications. Even just to register the card to put into google wallet require lots of hoops. Then another hoops just to check balance.

      • I feel you

  • Negging this because the CAPTCHA is ridiculously hard to get through. I tried 15+ min to add one card and almost had a panic attack.

There were 5 sets of "Pick the mouse that can't reach the cheese" game that you had to pass. Had to do 10 sets all correctly: 5 for adding the card and another 5 for logging onto myprepaidcentre.com.au

    • Damn, not worthit with this much hassle.

Tip: their recommendation to download the My Prepaid Centre app and use that to add the digital card to the wallet is rubbish (kept getting a "There was a problem retrieving your card information" error). Just obtain the card number, expiry date, and CVC from the My Prepaid Centre website and manually add the card to your wallet of choice.

    • +1

Have had no issue using the app method

    • +1

the My Prepaid Centre app doesn't work with my Pixel phone. I use their website and it seems ok tho quite annoying with the security check every time I log in

  • -1

some restaruants charged a % for not paying by cash.

    • +1

Nothing to do with this deal, that is with every card.

  • So is this the same as restaurant gift card that can be used in most places ?

  • +1

Just a warning, I’ve been charged cash advance from my credit card for purchasing these before

    • $2 holds? Don’t they get refunded automatically?

      • +2

No, my bank classified it as a cash advance. Gift cards are officially treated this way by some banks but I never get hit with it apart from on these

  • Thanks OP, bought one!

On their website, if you search for Nandos, it only shows some stores. Does that mean the card will work only at those specific stores? Or is it that there search function only shows some stores?

    • +1

It should work at any cafe/restaurant/fast food type place. I wouldn't pay much attention to that search function, for example it doesn't show McDonald's or Hungry Jack's but it works there.

    • +1

I think that search is only for the physical cards which are (or were before anyway) much more restricted than the online cards

The only declines I’ve ever had were at the ausopen where food trucks were counted as ausopen rather than foodtrucks and occasionally a place is classified as a bakery rather than a cafe/restaurant

  • Can you use it at pubs where they sell meals?

  • +3

Game over? Says promo won’t work for me

    • maybe its a limited QTY thing, as the discount is still on a banner on their homepage. But i got the same as you

  • great for Easter holiday

  • "This promo code is no longer available."

  • Damn OOS already

  • +1

It's an issue with the code, not the promotion which is still valid during the period. They are looking to fix

    • It seems that there’s some problem with the system. Can’t remove gift card from cart as well. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

    • How do you know this?

      • +1

        I asked them

  • +8

    Very bad….

They emailed me 9am this morning to tell me about the promo

Tried at 9am and sold out…

    • same here

  • +1

    This offer is valid from 04/04/2023 00:00 AEST until 09/04/2023 23:59 AEST………Bullshit !!

  • +5

Page updated with no mention of promo now

    • +3

Poor act from Restaurant Choice if they've just decided to pull the promo.

  • Very bad move RC.

  • +6

Looks like the support guy, like Jon Snow knew nothing. Instead of fixing they decided to just pull it completely. I like their logic with the new ad - dine anywhere this Easter, buy our card at full price using your credit card and use our card to dine…

    • +3

I don't understand the logic of people buying digital gift card without any discounts.
I understand when people buy physical giftcard for gift, but digital at full price??? I don't think it have lots of demand
