China Bar 55% off Super Saver Deal

120

Hello guys.

Just received this in the mail. it's a pretty good deal if you are looking for a buffet deal. China Bar Buffet is quiet good in quality.

They offer Oysters, Prawns, Crabs, Peking Duck, Steak etc. plenty on offer, and the desert is quiet good as well. Anyways I'll keep this short,
Normally I pay $55 for a weekday dinner.
Now you only have to pay $299 and you get
6x(mon-fri) lunch,
4x(mon-fri) dinner,
1x birthday meal ,
6x Beverage ,
1x Saturday lunch,
1x Sunday dinner,
1x Novelty Notepad,
1x Complimentary CBS Chinatown (Mon-sun) lunch,
1x Complimentary CBS Chinatown Dinne.
So you get all that for $299. You d the maths. It's actually a pretty good deal.

If you think this is good, go get it. If not, just leave it I guess.

Cheers

you may also want to rephrase…

  • where to buy or have to actually go there with this to buy? :x

  • +5

Remember to check their terms and conditions, especially you want to buy it for a group, b'cause there is a limit of two vouchers per redemption

Good point, I was about to go for it until I saw that!

    Meh, Asian style Smorgys

  • Man…i can eat for whole week with $299

  • i reckon it's a pretty decent deal, it's a nice place to go for special occasions but the 2 vouchers per visit kinda screws it up. their previous deals didn't have this kind of limitation

Shared with mates to buy 3 booklets on the pevious deal (exp 31/12/12) @ $288. Then shared again 2 booklets for the current OP-posted, exp 31/7/13, deal, with the "complimentary" CBD vouchers.

Anecdotally for the $288 deal (heard 9mths back), 5000 booklets printed, 4500 sold. Picture how popular that is, someone was laughing to the bank with over $1M cash at hand, food yet to be provided! If you get the chance, pop by any meal time & check it out yourself how packed the Burwood restaurant is.

Oh, and the reason for sharing - to bypass the "max 2 vouchers" per booklet rule, just mix those vouchers. I know of people using 6 vouchers from 3 booklets for 1 session. 1 more tidbit (that's from the CB staff/head waiter) - no one's going to check the terms of the B'day voucher ie. it can be used any day/session except Public Hols. On the new booklet, the w/day Lunch works out to under $15 each based on ratio. And sharing allows people to choose what sessions they want, which ones they would compromise to buy/swap eg. the CBD ones.

Not counting the complimentary CBD vouchers, at $15 w/day Lunch, $29 w/day dinner, $17 w/end Lunch, $31 w/end Dinner, I reckon it is better than most of the Groupbuy meal deals.

btw the booklets are available only from the outlet itself, not online.

  • so, it is only for people in Melbourne?

No, they don't check your home address, if your from another state, they will be happy to serve you too, no discrimination!

  • Beware, all 200 or so deserts are exactly the same just diff colours and shapes, same same but differant :)

    • Yeah I think so too, but the ice cream/icy pole. So great, lots of flavours.

    • You don't think that they also have different tastes and textures?

  • Is anyone know when the voucher could expire or never expire?

    • Vouchers in the new booklet expire 31/7/13.

  • There is a few single vouchers, IE, only 1 voucher for sunday dinner etc.
This would either mean, you dine by urself, or you bring a friend who pays full price (presumably), or you're friend also spends 300 bucks and buys a booklet so you now have 2 Sunday dinner vouchers.

all of which is slightly sours the deal for me.

But, if anyone that is intending to get a booklet, would be interest in swapping vouchers, then it might be ok.

    • What a good idea!
