A deal for the Gen3 old timers. Not as cheap as the PNY drive @ JW from earlier, but has better TBW.

    The current prediction is that they will continue dropping for 23Q2, but not at the rate they have been dropping at since the start of the year.

    Yeah, I have a 2TB RAID0 array of HDDs for games I don't play so often.

    We're at the tipping point for replacing them with a single SSD on the cheap.

  I'm finding my recent SATA 500GB SSD without DRAM slow (similar or slower than modern HDD) even for copying 8GB files within the same drive, so I think it is better to spend a bit more for SSD with DRAM.

  I bought a 4tb version of this recently from the Amazon US deal. It uses a realtek controller with nanya dram from what I can gather using some flash id tools and some quick checks on reddit. Uses Team group tlc nand flash.
