a lot of people are still waiting for Samsung eBay and Samsung direct orders, I canceled mine after a few weeks but my mates have rescheduled about 5 times and we all ordered 21st of Feb.

        • Bought a few items recently from Samsung… their service has been very poor. Apparently they just changed their delivery service

          • @hippyhippy: can confirm they haven't my mate was on live chat with them yesterday and they confirmed it's still anc…… this was through Bunnings anc but silly fks drove into the back of my work van and then claimed they didn't do it when it came to the insurance.

@UsernameChecksIn: Yeah lucky i got all the stuff i bought.. 2 phones, 75 inch tv and sound bar … all working though. Phones were about a week each. Sound bar and tv were like a month.

They outright lied about a phone bought through their online store having been sent and scheduled for delivery at the start of this week. Was to get a callback after requesting the issue be escalated, called again and they have no record of this. Decided to cancel the order and after escalation they maintained they can't, even though delivery is scheduled for 2 weeks from now. That's the short version. Filthy is one thing. How I would describe Samsung is not suitable for print. I'm not bagging their products, but steer clear of having to deal with them directly.

    • Might do that. I like Samsung but haven't delivered my tv ordered 2 months ago now.

Avoid Samsung's online store like the plague, bought a 75" TV through there, was dead on arrival. Had to fight tooth and nail for a replacement, they wanted to send a repair guy which could take anywhere from 4-6 weeks to 'assess' it first. Only buy samsung from bricks and mortar stores where you can return it if it has issues.

damn what model was that? I had the q80b on order and was luckily able to cancel it quite early. went for an lg cs 77 and I honestly couldn't be happier with it!

  • Samsung's service is appalling. Ordered this TV via the eBay deal and still have no idea when it will get delivered. Calling them is no use as the agents will just handball you to a case manager who never follow up.

  • Samsung's Online store is pathetic in terms of delivering products. Ordered a washer and dryer last December, still waiting to get them delivered

  • Not sure I trust the quality of Samsung TV's.

Has it improved over the years?

    • Quality of my top of the line 65" Q95T bought in 2021 is perfect in terms of picture quality, performance, connectivity and reliability.

While that is a sample size of just one I did extensive research on ratings and expert opinions before buying.

I am more than happy with my purchase - especially what it offers for my particular needs where I have bright sunlight during morning hours coming in from a side window. The filter screen on the TV blocks this out better than alternatives.

But that is just MY experience and MY needs. I watch sports, movies, TV series (streamed, FTA and digital media) I am not a gamer.

You need to do some hard yards yourself to see what YOU want in a TV in terms of all the variables and THEN go and hunt for the TV that best meets those needs.

I get really angry when people say Brand X is better than Brand Y when it comes to top end TVs. It all depends on what you want from a TV and what brand and model delivers on those needs at your particular price point.

To put this into perspective, I paid $3300, and I thought it was a steal. Wow. $2k for a 65" OLED, insane.
