Decent voltage? I assume you mean wattage.

    • +11

Seems you know watt you’re talking about. I think OP just short-circuited.

  • Can the cooler handle 7800x3d ?

    • Under load consistently? No.

      Otherwise, maybe?

      • +3

Doesn't it use only 90W under heavy load (less when gaming)? Surely that AIO can handle it.

        • Depends on the duration of heavy load

        • +2

Its the density of the heat that the 3D v-cache and chiplet designs in general have the biggest issue with Ive found. For example my 5800x3d gets as hot/hotter than my 5900x while using 50W less

        • Actually I got my AIO removed in H1 and use L9a instead.

          Can handle my undervolted 5800x

          FYI guys

    • +8

Yes, I would expect it to work fine. 7800x3D is extremely power efficient. Much easier to cool than 13th gen Intel i5 and above.

      • Fairly new update from team red. Stunning watt/perf ratio. Definitely worth checking out for more and more expensive electricity bill.

        • -1

but poor $ per fps ratio

    • Either way it's probably your best CPU choice since the performance/watt is insanely good, since you're worried about the AIO not being able to handle it.

    • Handles my i5 13600k. Temp top out at around 78 degrees under load in Cinebench R23 looped for 10 minutes. I have the power draw at CPU package at around 165w.

In games haven’t had the fans spin up on full yet. Hardest game I play is HZD for CPU usage.

    • The 7800X3D is only in the range of 40 to 60w when gaming. This cooler should be fine with it.

Nr200p max has previously been $369 +delivery. imo id say that would be more recommendable to entry sff-ers if it were still at that price. Nr200p max is simply capable of cooling a more powerful system due to the 280mm rad (vs 140 on this) with better airflow (which will also help the gpu temps) and better gpu compat

    Still, pretty good value

    • +1

Nr200p max is definitely the better buy at that price.

    • +5

It's true but it hasn't reached that price in over a year.

    • +1

Yeah, there haven't been deals on NR200/P/P max in quite a while, besides some oddball discontinued colours for the P variant. I believe they're low in stock overseas as well

      • +2

yeah seems to be the case

        • +1

          Nice pun.

Just built a gaming PC in this (5800X3D + RTX 3070) for a mate last time this was $300. Was quite an easy build experience. I would find the port access at the bottom of the case to be kind of annoying if you ever need to move the PC. I have an NR200P for my PC and yes the cooling potential is much greater IMO. That being said, $300 for a nice case, integrated cooler and PSU is a pretty great deal!

    • How's the 5800X3D with the cooler?

      • +1

Seems to be working fine for him, but if you're concerned about that, I'd recommend going with a different case with better options for cooling, or try some undervolting if temps become problematic. But yeah, NR200P all the way if you want that cooling performance

I bought one during the last sale, the case is beautiful in black, very high build quality and a very easy build process in general, the small footprint allowed me to move my case from the floor to the desk (I previously used a H200i). The only compliant I have with this case is its high idle noise, I hope I can get some solutions if anyone has experience working with this case.

    • +1

Did you install NZXT Cam? Mine is quiet compared to my last system.

    • Mine is so crazy loud too. Is there a solution?

      • Do you have a video (no need to have the visual part, just the audio) of the sound from where you are sitting?

I have mine about 40 cms from where I sit on my desk, and the noise is just like a small desk fan blowing on the lowest setting. It's not whisper quiet but it is not "crazy loud" just a pleasant whirring noise.

Fresh install and I installed NZXT Cam.

You need to make sure the fan headers are installed (from memory a USB header) correctly and the actual wiring for the pump is just to tell the motherboard that there is something there. The whole system is controlled by the Cam software.

    Can this do 4090 SLI?

    • +1

Absolutely… Simply bridge the nvlinks on the cards…

    • +4

Buy 2 4090s and let us know

    • +1

I run my mainframe in it.

    • +1

      Can’t fit 1 let alone 2

    • +2

      Can't wait for ur try

  • How is Cranbourne not considered Metro? That is just silly…

    • +5

Postie is afraid to go there.

    • Danger Tax

  • can someone please find me an AM4 ITX mobo that is best price for performance at this stage of the AM4 lifecycle?

    • If you can wait, I wouldn't go with an AM4 build at this stage.

      • +4

        I have a 5600 sitting in a box so will be AM4

        • +2

          I'm in the same boat!

        • +2

I too thought 5600/5700x for a new build would be great on a budget, until I realised AM4 ITX mobo stocks have basically dried up here and forced prices up

      • Probably AM5 ITX will also go on deal soon.

        Worth waiting for both AM4/5

    • -3

      Find it yourself.

  • Can confirm I am running a Ryzen 5 7600 and a 7900 XT - Never seen the CPU crack over 50 degrees. Never seen the GPU over 65. PSU seems to handle everything well though I wish there was another 50w to play with in future.

    • which 7900XT?

      • +1

        Reference model!

        • That's impressive, I had the reference in my H1 V2 and only got near that gaming in 1440P when I undervolted.

          • +1

@AFM7: I used the fan tweaker and disabled 'zero rpm' - made a big difference.

    Motherboard Support Mini-ITX
    this is quite limited

    • 15.6L, to be expected with the mainstreams, although in the more niche market that volume can fit m-atx

  • Does anyone know any good Am5 motherboard that would support this?

    TIA!

    • Was curious too, did a pc part picker search for am5 itx and the price really sucks, the msi mpg b650i edge seems a bit normal priced at 359. About the same price as rog b660i I think that’s fair.

    • I can't see why any AM5 ITX board can't support it. Don't need to consider about clearence given it provided you a relatively normal sized AIO head.

    • Gigabyte B650i probably simply due to the 3 m.2

  • +4

I bought the case early march off PLE, and love how it looks on my desk.

    But here’s the downs,

My specs are 12600kf + 6700xt strix for reference.

The aio pump is not adjustable via anything whatsoever and runs max constantly, I followed a guide on reddit and rewire the NZXT weird 5 pin header to a normal fan header and connect to the motherboard, that brings it down to around 4000 rpm and its much nicer.

The psu is alway loud despite the workload, I think its because of the downgrade of psu from gen1, it’s manufactured by CWT, doesn’t come with a zero fan mode like the seasonic. This you have to live with.

It’s a pretty big case considering its itx, but then again you get super great compatibility with massive 3 slot gpus. Although my specs aren’t really high I think the cooling is pretty good but it can get a bit loud.

Other than that the only thing to consider is ram height, its about 46mm clearance from the aio fan, if anyone is curious.

Overall I think it’s still a great value case bundle for itx at 300 bucks, but it’s definitely not for the top spec gamer with 4090, its a great mixture of performance and aesthetic.

    • Mine is very quiet… did you install NZXT Cam software? Without it the fans run at default speed.

Also the PSU I don't even hear anything come out of it unless my ear is right against it. What's annoying me now is that stupid static noise from my speakers that I can hear now that the system is very quiet, my previous system the fans were louder than the speakers so never heard them.

      • Yeah I try the cam and the pump is not adjustable, its even on their site that keeping the pump on max is needed for optimal performance but its clear not. It’s still not a very quiet experience for me even after the mod, maybe a lot of it its because I have it right next to the monitor like half a meter away from me.

        • I will upload a video of what it sounds like for me and it is very very quiet.

          • @jlogic: Made the video and you need to turn up the volume to hear the fans (which defeats the purpose). Really need a dB meter to measure it.

My pump is at full RPMs but I can barely hear it. I know its working because temperatures aren't through the roof and the Cam software is reporting the RPMs.

This review also mentions the max pump issue.

    • How did you connect the pump directly to the MB? Can you please share the reddit link? Im planning to connect all fans directly to the mb…not fan of that controller

  • Seems like a great buy if you own a mini-ITX motherboard, HDD/SSD space looks limited and doesn't everyone on Ozbargain have like 100 hard drives? lol.

    • Only if they shucked them… if not they are all external LOL

  • +2

I just ordered it. Hopefully power supply and AIO would be fine with a 7700x and 7900xt in it.

  • Whoever designed this case needs to get a raise.

The easiest case I have ever built in, by far.

Took about an hour to move my parts from my old case to this one.

    • +3

Probably the same guy who designed v1. That one caught on fire.

      • +1

        Ryan started the fire

    • +1

Biggest downside is getting to all the ports underneath.
If regularly need access to lots of USB ports, this is a real pain

  • -1

I strongly considered buying this last time round when it was on sale, but after reading other people's experiences I was turned off it. The AIO cooler is OK at best, but is poorly made and likely to fail within 1-2 years. If it fails out of warranty you cannot buy a replacement from NZXT or anyone (unless you can find one second-hand).

    • I thought this was the V1 version? V2 was only released 21st Feb 2022.

    • Heard similar stories before buying but the aesthetic are too clean to resist, honestly considering to do an air cool mod if the trashy aio fails in the future, its super audible and annoying regardless the quality.

    • Why not? There r heaps of 140mm AIO made by other manufacturers that would fix right?

      • The actual pump is built into the radiator part, this is for clearances inside the case. So unless it is the same it would not fit.

  • I've built one for a friend,

    I5 13600k
    32gb ddr5
    2tb wd black gen4
    Asus b760i
    Gigabyte rtx 4070ti eagle

The temps are fine GPU max was 50° and CPU max 65° , 4070ti fit fine aswell

For some reason I was not able to install the NZXT Cam, so im Planning to remove that controller and plug directly to the MB

    • +1

Solid build 👍 great upper mid range that will stay strong at 1440p for years.

What’s the issue with CAM? Unfortunately you need that software otherwise the cooler stays on the silent profile by default.

      • Tks mate!
I had to return my case, the psu died… unlucky, waiting pccg to send a new one…

About the cam, it doesn't install at all.
I'll figure out how to plug the pump directly to the mb, I prefer the mb controlling that than via software
