Have been looking at picking this up for a few weeks now - by far the best price I have seen.

Price matched in Officeworks and got it down to a final price of $232.75 - looks to retail around $379 at full price.

    This is a Wi-Fi 6 router. Wi-Fi 6 by design uses 2.4 and 5 GHz ranges. This router is fine if you want Wi-Fi 6. Wi-Fi 6e adds the 6 GHz range.

    I guess the negs are because the correct way of saying it would be "if you want something that supports the 6 GHz range, you would need Wi-Fi 6e access points"

  Can you run this directly from nbn box or does it need a modem?

  Does it have webpage based settings menu (eg 192.168.1.1) or can settings only be accessed from the app?

  Does it let you set static ip addresses?

    Yes i have tpg and have the orbi connected directly to the nbn box

    Yes it has web based configuration page as well as app based

    Yes you can map static ips to mac addresses

    You can find answers in the user manual:

    Web interface for configuration - yes, see page 20, it will be at http://orbilogin.com, which I believe is 192.168.1.1 by default going by the DHCP setup section.

    Static IPs - yes, see page 61 for setup.

  Can I connect the 2 units with a lan cable? I worry that the wireless link between two floors is not strong enough.
