Regulator Snake Bite First Aid Kit $12.81 + Delivery ($0 with OnePass) @ Catch

130

My hunt for a first-aid kit grew into a 'need' for a workplace compliant first-aid cabinet before shrinking to the purchase of the snake kit and bandaids I actually need.

With a OnePass subscription this is the cheapest I could find. If you are going to spend over $55 at firstaidkitsaustralia.com.au the free shipping makes their products competitive. However, given the catch kit contains proper indicator bandages the most comparable product at firstaidkitsaustralia would be the premium snake kit at $14.50.

My advice, get the indicator bandages. Studies show the correct pressure is rarely applied, indicator bandages have a rectangular pattern that becomes square when applied at the right pressure taking out the guesswork.

Highly recommend a first aid course for the same reason mentioned about the indicator bandages.
The amount of pressure required to do things feels unnatural and like you're going to damage the person you're looking after. And that's despite doing the pressure bandages on yourself and knowing how much pressure you can handle.
A first aid course, I've found, is quite confronting as to just how little you understand about first aid.

Throw in a sharpie to mark the location of the bite on the bandage, the time bitten and when the bandage went on. https://stjohn.org.au/assets/uploads/fact%20sheets/english/F…
