    World domination via b.s.

  • Could it spin the ball like Shane Warne?

  • Meh - 2023 just came out and will probably be $50 more expensive. No point in getting an older product.

I wonder if we are just paying for new paintjobs half the time…

      • From google:

The Pure Aero 2023 has a slightly lower swing weight and is a little less stiff, making it more playable. The Pure Aero Team 2023 is slightly more head light, has a lower swing weight, and is less stiff, making it easier to handle as well

  • What do you recommend for a beginner who wants to give Tennis a go but not invest heavily at this time?
I heard entry level Graphite racquets are good.

Some of the higher-end Decathlon are pearlers for the price (not sure about the low/mid tier ones though). Probs be best to go down to somewhere you can try a couple out and find one you like - you can get some deals with some of the older model racquets)

For a beginner I'd recommend one off gumtree from someone else who tried taking up tennis then quickly gave up.

First few months of playing tennis is mostly about just being able to hit the ball in the general direction you want. A light racquet that's balanced will help you do that, anything beyond that is a bit of a waste.

      • Ok thanks! I may have something I can play with but its not a great racquet. I just wanted to use the opportunity to discuss to see if anyone has recommendations.

For a beginner, it won't matter.

  • Can you recommend any value for money squash racquets?

what the heck is Arc 2 Technology? I cant seem to find what its made of

    • Racquet companies love using all sorts of buzzwords to make their products seem special is some way. Most if not all racquets are made of some type of graphite. One company might just layer the graphite a little differently and slap a name on it to make it sound like it's some advanced space age tech. Unless you're at a pro level it's all just marketing.
For a beginner, racquet weight would probably be the only important thing to look out for. I personally use a much heavier racquet with 100 inch head size, but honestly most Wilson racquets will do you just fine. These guys know how to make a good racquet.
