Just use difference power supply. Here is the review from ASR https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/f…

      • +9

Ok so it seems you haven't learnt from last time. Don't you think the title is misleading if you state 600W in the title but we need to buy a different power supply?

        • -2

          I'm sorry, I have changed.

          • +5

@Fosi Audio: Still says 300w x2 in the description; is that what you meant?

(If you describe something as more powerful than it is in Australia, you run the risk of eBay/Paypal/the bank just reversing the transaction, meaning you've given away an amp for free)

            • -4

@jong: it seems you guys are really really really adverse to following a link and reading a graph

              with the 48v psu it does 146w x 2 at 4 ohms in a 110v country

its without doubt gonna hit 300w+ in a 240v country, however this is at 4 ohms so the seller is actually telling the truth

69w at 8 ohm on the 48v psu

40w at 8 ohm on the 32v psu

i mean its all there… it just seems none of you guys have the least bit of interest in finding out for yourselves or maybe even the ability to read the graph… pretty sad

btw. this is independent testing in the US but a unconnected party, i mean i dont know how else it can be more impartial

              • +3

@tonyjzx: I didn't look at the graph because it's not my job to tell a vendor how to sell their product, is it?

I just noticed they'd adjusted part of their ad but not the rest, and as a courtesy suggested they double check their description.

Still, since you're so keen to work for free - it's bin night tonight, would you mind taking them out for me?

@jong: if youre in it sure thing

i find it funny how people seem to wear their ignorance on their sleeve as its a badge of honour

go you on your lack of any kind of curiousity or intelligence but par for the course here

funny how you think acquring knowledge is 'work', stay woke and dumb

btw. jong i gave you an updoot because youre obviously the bigger man with the downvotes lol

Hold your horses Tony, the comments above (and some below) were made when the rep had 600W in the title, see revision history. Amir's graphs show that the 600W (300W x 2) claim is bullocks. You can't hit those numbers with the supplied 32V 5A PSU, or the optional 48V 5A PSU.

i mean its all there… it just seems none of you guys have the least bit of interest in finding out for yourselves or maybe even the ability to read the graph… pretty sad

They can say the same with you for not checking the revision history before going all guns blazing.

          • +2

@Fosi Audio: If I were you I would add the PSU adapted and bump up the price. Then it's not misleading. Right now you are saying it's a 300w X 2 but only if you buy an optional adapter.. and that's only from the comments not even in the opening post. Everything in OP is misleading.

    • +2

The title of their Ebay listing also states 600W 🤔

  • $120 for this isn't OzBargain worthy - maybe $100 AUD and then it would be worth an OzBargain

  • +6

What's the real RMS figure, outta the box please?

The 300w per channel figure is complete utter bullshit.

    • +3

Good call. 300w rms would drill your body to a wall

      • +1

That and it'd be the greatest value amp of all time… Regardless of quality.

    • +1

      probably about 13

    I hate BS marketing.
Also, you need to answer questions that people ask.. just look at your old posts.

    • -7

theres probalby an chinese language barrier problem and really, why would anyone bother

its clear everyone here is dumb as

      • Are you ok?

  • Here's a link to a review with proper tested performance specs. It's still a good little amp but don't be deceived by the numbers quoted here. That said, few people realise how loud an amp with as little as 20W per channel can get. Watts aren't the whole story. The BS marketing numbers just confuse the uninitiated. FYI, I just bought this amp on eBay as I think it's great value for the performance. I paid about the same.

    • -2

this effectively says the same thing as the ASR review but there's extra data from the 48v 5.2amp psu which does ~100w at 8 ohm which is kind of amazing for a $100 unit

~160w at 4 ohm that caveat being you need a psu that they dont sell

i mean it clearly does at least 150w x 2 at 4 ohms with an appropriate psu so there's truth in advertising which many here dont want to admit

there's an argument to be had about 8 or 4 ohms but i doubt anyone here would get it anyway

      • You are being quite nasty, not everyone can be a subject matter expert at everything. People also rely on credibility of the person you are buying from. In this case it wasn't there.

  • Different amp but not a glowing review

A lot of carry-on about 80 bucks worth of amp. Seems pretty good value at either wattage or impedance. Relax people.

    • +1

      Welcome to ozbargain 🫶

    • +1

It's just the ethics behind it. He isn't transparent in OP stating you need to purchase another adapter to get the stated wattage.

      • +2

This. Why should we be sympathetic because the reps can't be bothered to QC their posts (if giving the benefit of the doubt as to their claims), or suffer outright deceptive behaviour. Neither is acceptable, and we ought to maintain a standard. They are getting a captive audience, the least we can expect ie not to be bullshitted, or the claims to be valid.

Marketing aside, probably one of the best cheap Chinese D-class amps on the market right now. Ordered.

  • Hey @Fosi Audio, I noticed that this is now available on Amazon AU and Ebay AU. However, it's only the version with the 32v power supply. Any plans to sell the version with the 48v supply in Australia? I'd prefer to order from a local retailer if possible, rather than fosiaudioshop.com.
