Looks like there's been a hefty discounting of the Intel 330 120GB @ Centrecom. Not as cheap as the previous OZB deals but a quick check on staticice reveals this to be the cheapest price in Vic at present.
Pickup recommended! Shipping calculator on the site says "Vic metro and Geelong shipping for $8.25" when I tried postcode 3000.

Intel are obviously reliable, although the 330 are their bottom end drives. Tossing up between one of these and the sandisk extreme 120gb for $99.
Bottom end , but gets 7.7 on windows experience index.
Intels bottom end is close to most others top end.
Saw these last night and thought it looked ok without postage, still decided to wait a bit longer.
I will have to say something about this.
most SSD speed are very similar in a sense that normal user won't feel the difference.
and what you'd be looking for in a HDD apart from speed is its reliability.
I am a early adopter of SSD drives, being on it for more than 3 years, I had 3 x OCZ 1x Gskill SSD drive replaced under warranty within 9 months of use. my Intel SSDs are still fine after 12 months…
I agree, I have a crucial M4 and a samsung 830. I would only consider intel or maybe sandisk at this time as also good enough to hold precious data. Keeping an eye on Plextor/liteon for reliabilty at the moment as well.
I've seen mentioned that Samsung SSDs (830) is pretty good too in terms of reliability.
First day use maybe the same but after used for a while especially working a lots on Photo/Music/Movie stuffs, the differents is huge.
also I saw orangeit selling $109 in store as well
$10 less each and I would go down the road and pickup a couple of these. It can't be too long before they break the $100 mark.
