Uber Rides Cashback

Citi bank is introducing a new benefit on the Citi Prestige Card.

From 1 June 2023, you can enjoy $10 cashback once per month when you spend $40 or more with Uber Rides within the same month.

(Not sure if this benefit is for other Citi issued cards)

Terms:
To be eligible to receive the $10 cashback you must be enrolled in My Cashback. Limited to $10 cashback once per calendar month when you spend a minimum of $40 in one or more transactions with your Citi Prestige Mastercard. Payment must be made directly with Uber Rides via the Uber App. Excludes Uber Eats, Uber Pass and transactions made through a third-party establishment or payment processor. Cashback will be credited to your Account within 30 days from the qualifying spend provided your Account is open and in good standing.

    Didi has always consistently worked out eacher but only about 10-15%.

    This works out maybe 20% cheaper so is decent.

    The Email that announced this hinted some changes to the existing airport drop off/ pick up service. Was anyone able to decipher what it is?

      I didn't think it was that cryptic? Just announcing that they are increasing the prices on the airport transfer service. The benefit of $100 remains the same, but the categories (car type and distance from airport) are becoming dearer.

      The km changed I think. It didn't impact me so I never bothered to check both pdfs side by side.

    Does anyone know how they check the flights for the priority pass?

    I just give the lounge/restaurant the flight number but do they do any further checks?

    Could I technically just give them a random flight on later that day?

      Most of the cases the lounge will ask boarding pass. But in few cases I have seen the restaurants do not ask for boarding pass. This was at Putien restaurant Hong King airport.

        Lol same place that I’ve just visited two months back. I showed them the pass on my phone and they scanned it, that’s it. I didn’t feel want to eat anything so just asked if I can simply grab a drink and the lady got me to pick any two from the fridge.

    Just got the $10 cashback from buying a $50 gift card in the Uber app, so can confirm this works. Useful because you can then use the credit in the Ubereats app

      This is not meant to show in cashback, it shows under lifestyle. Offer is still valid until 31st December 2023 (Presumably they will renew it next year)
