Hopefully this is considered a deal by OzB standards - I'm sure you'll let me know if not.

For anyone looking to get the Lego Titanic, this might be a good opportunity to pull the trigger. If you're looking to sell the Statue of Liberty to recoup the cash, they appear to go for $100-120 on FB Marketplace unopened.

Stock in all stores near me and online at time of posting.

Deal is for today only.

Strangely enough same day shipping at $20 (if you're close to one of their stores) is cheaper than standard or express for me.

Note: A couple of ppl have tried checking out and also seem to get the bonus flowerpot (40588 - gift for purchase over $240).

    10294 is the titanic, 21042 is the statue.
    Of course I would prefer the RRP of the statue off the boat.

    They exclude you from the flowerpot :/ Interestingly you can remove the statue of liberty from your cart and the flower pot appears in it's place.
    Also if you're a VIP you'll get ~$50 store credit

    It's almost OK. If it had the flowerpot I'd do it for my Dad instead of buying from marketplace.

      It is still no where near a bargain with the flowerpot and the $50 . I'd want Titanic around $650 which will happen in the future with stacking .

        Also, it didn't get the price hike that came in. So even without the bonus sets it's still 11c per brick.

    I went for a wander in the Lego store on the weekend, why the insane prices for these bits of plastic?

    The Lego Deathstar was $1300 or something crazy, I saw some poor parents talking their kids out of a $300 lego kit lol

      They are marking up for profit, on top of manufacturing. design, delivery, store running cost, etc.

      I feel poor when I visit their store having lots of stuff i wanted or via youtube seeing people buying multiple sets building a giant display in their super big home or backyard…

      Given the Death Star is a retired set, and LEGO don't sell it anymore, I'm curious which 'LEGO' store you saw this at. Sounds to me like it was a second hand/3rd party store selling given you can't get it at retail anymore.

      I'm not here to judge - but just wanted to say that regarding the 'Never had issues' for 'copy' sets - the quality is not the same. I've seen may issues. The bricks fall apart / don't hold as strong and are more inconsistent, colour fades, badly printed 'prints' / stickers etc.

        I've been buying for 5+ years, never had any of those issues.

        There was people with those issues years and years ago, but these days you just don't see those issues anymore.

        It's also you know, $700 cheaper, that's not an insignificant amount for the possibility of having a small issue that really doesn't effect anything when it's sitting on a shelf as a display piece.

            You also get spares just like lego sets so you eventually accumulate a spares box too, I've read though if you buy from the reputable sites they're good with missing pieces and send them out like normal. Good list of sites on r/lepin
