Hi everyone,

We have two builds for today. We have manually priced the 3060 Ti in the PCPartPicker list as there was no comparative price.

A 4090 + 7800X3D upgrade path exists in this deal for anyone that is interested.

There are some upgrades available in these deals.

Enigma PC offers the following services with our PCs. We believe these services are what put us above the rest:

- Fast email, phone and live-chat support
- Friendly and fast warranty (you can change things in your PC as you wish, it won't void the warranty unless it directly caused issues)
- We use higher value components where possible
- Windows comes preinstalled with all drivers, 3DMark and SignalRGB.
- Since launching, we have refined our QC processes. We now have every PC QC'd by the initial builder and a teammate will multiple checks.

If the prices are wrong in the PCPartPicker, please let us know so we can fix it.

LIMITED TIME & LIMITED STOCK

If any of you have any suggestions on future builds, please let us know in the comments. Upvote your favourites and we'll do our best to accommodate.

If you're someone who purchased from us before, let us know what you think in the comments!

Do you like our PC configurator? We spent a long time working that one out. Please, if you have constructive feedback, let it rip!

  • ooh the 3060Ti build is good value

  • Just wondering how long it would take for delivery to Perth?
Also maybe a stupid question but is there a HDMI port in the back?

    • +1

Perth can take about 5 days after dispatch. Yeah there is one on the back.

      • Appreciate the quick reply mate, I'm planning on ordering tomorrow if still in stock 🤙

        • +2

          No worries! Fingers crossed :)

  • How long have you been in business?

    • +2

We’ve been in business since May 2022, so almost a year now.

  • +1

If I purchase this morning can I pick up today?

    • +2

Unfortunately all of our PCs are custom built to spec so it can take 3-5 business days before a PC is dispatched or ready for pickup.

  • I need a parents browsing pc, the 3060 seems a bit overkill if I get that one. Any options to downgrade to make it cheaper?

    • +9

I'd say this is definitely overkill for that purpose. We can't offer downgrades for gpu's on this particular deal. I'd recommend a PC that has a cpu with built in graphics.

    • +1

If your parents are just doing a bit of web browsing and basic apps like Office, this whole PC is overkill, not just the GPU.
I'd suggest a win 10 mini pc for $100-$150. Got one for my wife and it's been fine. They're also much smaller and quieter which is a bonus.
For example, this one with a 8GB 256GB SSD is $140. You can pimp it out with more RAM and SSD when you order.
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/770435

      • i did try out my parents pc, a i5 4th gen with 8 gigs of ram, no ssd.

It is slow - probably a minute to before you can do stuff and opening the browser to goto pages probably takes 10-20 seconds, perhaps windows 10 and all the extra stuff it has slows down browsing and loading.

Those win 10 ones are like 6th gen? marginally better?
Does your wife's pc open up fast, and open up chrome/browsers fast?

        • +3

It's the ssd that matters. Cpu matters alot less than ssd in browsing explorer folder.

Get a ssd and we'll talk again if that's still no good.

          • @Wonderfool: i don't even know if a "i5 4th gen with 8 gigs of ram" era pc can even take in ssd.

            • +6

@tighttightass: Yes it can. It's just a new standard sata harddrive.

Get the mx500 or bx500 and just do a fresh windows install on that.

            • @tighttightass: Yes it can. I have a silent build (16gigs though) from 2015 with SSD. It's really fast for everything but no games obviously as no graphics card.

    • -2

Be a good kid and get them a base MBA, an M2 RRP for $1499 but you can just about always get 10% off at JB and sometimes even better. And there are M1 versions still around for a fair bit less @$1298 but wait for 10% off. Or if against the very idea of a Mac, a decent wintel laptop, and by decent I mean a good screen and at least i5 11th gen plus an SSD.

It will cost a bit more but you will never have to worry for a decade.
And it will minimise your time giving them support. Trust me, that is worth a grand on its own. It might even extend your own life expectancy through the reduced support needs zen.

      • laptops out of the question, they want big screen, don't need to squint eyes

not sure about mac though, is mac better for oldies?

        • You can connect laptops to monitors just like a desktop.
I would say that macs are less hassle and harder to break, but I am assuming you are buying it, and you will be doing the servicing and support, so what you are familiar with is important.

  • +3

The 3060 TI build is really good value,
The only upgrade option that seems to be decent is actually the 64gb RAM upgrade. No one should upgrade to any 32gb option. 32gb is $115 extra, 64 is an extra $10 on top $125 on top of base.
EDIT - After my post they bumped up the price to $300 upgrade

    • Do you think adding more ssd or hdd would be worth it I'm not sure if 500gb is enough

      • +1

2nd SSD is always a nice option, but just buy it yourself and add it to the PC.

    • Hey Maverick, the 64GB option you were talking about was actually a 32GB 3600MHZ option that was in the 64GB category and our 64GB option was hidden, we just moved the 32GB option into the correct category and set the 64GB option to visible, no price changes have occured

      • You have changed it now and I didn't capture it.
I don't have anyway to prove your word.
If customers bought that on the proviso it was listed under 64gb then those poor customers would have been misled.
It's a few times I've pulled you up from your practices. You haven't even been here that long.
You need to honestly proof check your listings before you start promoting.
And now with evidence of linking with Tech Dash who have previously had bad reviews before you/they closed shop. You have more reason than ever to work harder on being cautious and prepared

  • Any 4090 systems in the near future?

    • This one has an upgrade path to the 4090 in it. Let us know if there's anything else you'd like to see.

      • I don't see the 7800x3d upgrade option

        • It's in the 4070 Ti build. It shows on my end. Let me know if it you have any issues.

          • @enigmapc: Would 850w psu be enough for a 4090 + 7800x3d?

            • @Slunk78: Yes the 850W is enough to power a 4090 and a 7800X3D. We will add some 1000W options shortly incase you want some more overhead

  • +4

What's your relationship with Tech Dash? They seem to be a sh1t show mob doing bad business, are all your parts legit, not damaged, brand new, not refurbished.

    • +1

      Lol Tech Dash

      • Why lol?

        • -1

They take your hard earned money and Dash after you buy their Tech. They probably renamed to Techfast.

          • @MuddyClear: I think techfast is different, looks like enigma and techdash are joint, and techdash have a terrible rating not sending items, sending broken items, makes me very skeptical on enigma plus they're not answering my earlier question

            • @Benni85:

              I think techfast is different…

They use the same business model, Grab and Dash.

makes me very skeptical on enigma plus they're not answering my earlier question

The Enigma name doesn’t spell much confidence

    • +4

Yeah it appears your abn is linked to Tech Dash and has the same business address
Address: Unit 1a/242A New Line Rd, Dural NSW 2158

Anyone can check here and check the reviews.

That is the same business address as Tech Dash and your ABN's are linked

      What is the story there?

      • +6

Yeah I saw that too, looks like two companies under the same roof, one dodgy af and then enigma? Makes me seriously question enigmas legitimacy, why would they have some shady company as a silent side business, @enigma care to explain?

        • +1

IT is an Enigma after all. Perhaps they are just living up to their name??

          • +1

@Naigrabzo: 🤣 who knows but they're being very quiet. I see so many shady companies spin up, they could be offering you all warranties etc but if they shut the busines down and open a new one your stuffed!

        • It looks like they are the same company.

It also looks like the tech dash web front is offline now to try remove the association.
Google still listed the address which is exactly the same … Those trust pilot reviews are really low all stating bad customer service.
If enigma don't respond to the above just put a reminder in every post they make. It helps users become aware. That should let them come clean

          • @maverickjohn: Still not as bad as Theranos or FRANK. Great detective work @Rightleftclick. Damn man, your username sounds like you are just spamming your mouse because you are bad at the game. I stand corrected!!

    • Dear all,

As one of the owners of Enigma PCs, I would like to apologize for the delayed response. I understand that there have been concerns about our previous business, TechDash, and I would like to address these concerns.

Firstly, I would like to clarify that our Enigma PC staff cannot comment on TechDash. Additionally, I have personally been dealing with a family member who was in a car accident, which has caused further delays in our response.

I would like to assure you that all Enigma PC parts are new, and we work closely with our suppliers and major brands to provide you with great pricing. We are grateful for your continued support and strive to offer the best possible value to the OZ bargain community.

Regarding TechDash, we started the business as a one-stop-shop for electronics, offering a wide range of products and fast delivery times. However, due to increased competition and profitability concerns, we decided to focus on pre-built and custom PCs, which proved to be a growing demand.

While we experienced delays and bad reviews during the closure of TechDash, I want to emphasize that we have had over 500 positive reviews (4 stars and up) from our customers, which we collected through an independent review aggregator on our website.

Despite no longer trading, we still honor every TechDash customer's warranty, as it is the right thing to do.

Moving forward, Enigma PC has been a great success, and we are committed to building every PC with care and treating every customer with respect. You can see this in our reviews on Trustpilot for Enigma. We have had a huge number of orders and are continually striving to improve our services.

I hope this explanation provides clarity on the situation regarding TechDash, and I appreciate your understanding and continued support.

      Best regards,
      Enigma PC

Very polished response and the personal matter, though touching, is likely false like so many of the claims in this message.

Your personal matter does not remove you of the responsibility you "personally" have to the, lets call them people first (but customers) These are the customers that never recieved their products and were never offered a refund and were scammed by techdash. I spoke to a woman who is now in a combined position of taking this to the police as Cyber Crime. You don't answer calls or emails, you take peoples money and dupe them. That is cyber crime.

The fact that you have confirmed you are the same business will help with the ongoing fraud investigations and holds the same people responsible and is proof that you are the same business though we know that already - thanks for that.

There are many now taking their fraud claims to the TechDash business and will fall on you the owner of the same business. Techdash was started a little over a year ago now. I shouldn't have to spell this out to you as you know this already but for others on this thread. Techdash Pty Ltd is still an active business and can be witnessed by everyone by doing an ABN search, they are operating under another name in Enigma PC so it is not a previous business as stated above but an active business called Techdash Pty Ltd operating with another trading name - Enigma PC's Why does this matter? they scammed a lot of people under Techdash and are still operating under that Pty just doing it under Enigma Pc.

Techdash has/had terrible reviews on Google but since yesterday and after becoming alarmed that their cover was blown they have now closed down that company's online presence with Google and now nobody can see the claims made against you. The claim that you had 500 positive reviews is a complete falsehood - I checked it thoroughly.

Moving forward I would highly recommend people considering Enigma PC read this first and make their own judgement with the evidence that they haven't deleted from the public domain.

Here they have confirmed they are the same owners as Techdash and I know for a fact that they have screwed several customers previously and didnt provide refunds or responses and their beloved customers were left out of pocket and scammed. They have claimed to have shut down TechDash when they are still operating under that name albeit another alias and from the same location with the same owners and that the claim that they had over 500 customer reviews on google which were 4 stars under Techdash is again a complete lie.

  • Any new 4070 deals based on the fallen 4070 price compared to your last deal?

  • +4

I would love to grab a PC in the specs of following deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/763832
Pls let me know when available

    • I’d also be keen!

    • Do you reckon it is better build than the one listed here?

  • +1

give me something with DDR5! :)

    • +1

      There's a 7800X3D upgrade path on our 4070 Ti deal with DDR5!

  • +1

What's the optimal processor to pair with the 4070ti to upgrade to avoid bottlenecking? 5700x? 5800x? (not available) 5900x?

    • +2

it depends on resolution. at 1440p, 5700x is 35% bottleneck. 5800x is 33% bottleneck. 5900x is 12% bottleneck. in the same socket, only option is the 5950x really (with 1.9% bottleneck).
      https://pc-builds.com/bottleneck-calculator/result/10q1dN/1/…

      • That's actually a pretty handy site! Though I'm trying to figure out how to read the graphs haha.
edit: nevermind, you just gotta play around with parts and try to achieve 1:1
Is it fair to say that a 4070 would be more optimal in this build than a 4070ti? 4070ti is overkill ain't it?
        e.g. R7 5700X, RTX 4070, 1440p

      • can you trust that site? says my old i5-9600 will not bottleneck a 4070 at 3840x1600! i am surprised at that.

        • actually i just confirmed its wrong myself.. apparently i am CPU bottlenecked by 16% at 3840 × 2160.. though 27% at 3840x1600??? this website aint right..

          • @Sage222: Those results seem valid - as resolution increases, strain on GPU increases. i.e. going from 1600p to 2160 will reduce the CPU bottleneck (you're using more GPU at 2160p).

        • I have no idea, I'm just trying to mirror a few "value" builds from Youtubers haha! They've been using processors such as 13400, 7600x

  • I am looking at a new PC (mine is roughly 10 years old i7 2600, but updated Ram/graphic card). Any upgrades will be great for normal use but I also want to choose something that will work for sim racing/rpcs3. Would one of those work pretty well? Also use me current tower for Plex and retro gaming with 5x HDD (Sata 3.5”) and 1xSSD and the best case I can find would be a Corsair 7000d). Would that be possible or any other recommendations? Mine doesn’t have the best airflow or can’t fit big video card.

  • a build around 1300 would be cool

    • We have some upgrade paths in our 999 build, is there something else you were after?

      • ooh, maybe a 6700xt build?

        • I feel a 6700XT would be cheaper? and provide slightly better performance (without RT). Specs seem to put it on par with the 3070 for most games.

          • +1

@XCelR8: probably, i just want an full amd pc for slightly easier linux usage

  • I just bought one.
Hopeing my PC will not encounter violent shipping.

  • +45 dollars for thermal grizzly seems a bit excessive… how many tubes are you using?

  • Sold out already?

  • +6

    Hi All,

Thank you all for the support, we have marked this as out of stock due to the sheer number of orders received.

We want to ensure we can dispatch all of our orders within the promised timeframe so we have paused sales.

We are aiming to have this deal back sometime next week once we have some more spare capacity.

As always, thank you for your continued support

    The Enigma Team

    • +1

      Good to hear it.
Timely delivery is better than saving $100 but delaying delivery for 1 month.

    • I love this!!! Well done!

  • -2

good price but ill stay away from them, service wasn't very helpful.

    • +6

Share your experience? I feel that this is the better way of approaching things, as the OP may wish to reply rather than just a "badmouthing" without explanation. It also helps future customers be aware of your experience.

      • i email them for more deals and said they dont have any upcoming deals and 2 days after they have new deals again.
