Three McChickens coming right up! (After you have eaten them, of course…)

      • +4

        Regurgitation? That's fowl

    • -2

These were $1 on the loose change menu

Upvote if BMI is over 25

Burger Meat Interest? Probably around 90-95

    • Hell yeah!

    • +1

I wish I could do 2 upvotes but alas

      technology is very limiting sometimes

  • +25

I like to think of it as 1 redemption per “account” not customer ;p

  • +4

Funny how they describe it as the "middle child" of their burger lineup.

The Filet-o-Fish must be the weird second cousin then.

    • +1

It slightly outranked the McChicken on another poll they ran - https://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/food/eat/mcdonalds-burgers…

      • All McDonald’s products are pretty rank, but you’re absolutely right — some are more rank than others

    • +3

      twice removed

    • +2

People actually buy the FoF? I've never seen someone with one, I've never seen someone purchase it, I'm not convinced that it's real.

      • Offical burger of Good Friday.

Hungry Jacks use to have their own (better) version called the Whaler. But it got renamed and eventually removed. I’m guessing idiots actually thought it was made of whale or it offended someone.

        https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burger_King_fish_sandwiches

        • To be fair if you're going to call a burger the whaler then eyebrows will be raised about what's in it

          • @coffeeinmyveins: People weren’t as stupid and easily offended back then (until they were).

  • +9

The mcchickens now days are so dry and bad….

    • +17

Just eat and stop complaining… they all go to make a turd

    • The chicken n cheese are better value anyway. The cheese makes it slightly more moist

    • +2

They changed to toasting the buns a number of years back which is probably the main reason they are so dry now. They used to steam them, but you can still edit the burger to request a steamed bun instead of toasted. The app doesn't always allow edits with promotions like these, but will for regular orders

      • Interesting thats good to know.

I mean usually the sauce is not enough

  • -1

Anyone notice how the app annoyingly makes u log in via email now?

    • Hasn't it always?

      • -1

Nope.. previously i could just put in isername and pw.. now i have go to my email because they now send an email

        • -1

Probably a good thing McDonald's is protecting your personal information now?

    • it only finally lets me use it normally now after several years of needing to dump cache and relogin otherwise it wouldnt work, every single time

  • Is this under My Deals? I dont have it

    • +2

      In 2 days

      • Whoops I'm dumb

        • -1

In that case you’ll always be targeted, so don’t worry

  • Thanks OP!

  • +2

    Amen

  • -1

whats the hack so we can order 20 of them?

    • +6

      create 20 accounts

      • They'll blacklist your phone. Speaking from experience.

        • +11

Actually, it’s nothing to do with McDonald’s… your phone is just saying enough is enough

          • +1

            @tharlow: 😂

          • @tharlow: Outside of the november deals, I get food there on average 1 time a year, excluding than the once a quarter soft serve.

        • Boost mobile came to save?

          • +1

@solacens: Boost Mobile may be the basis of an OzBargain religion, but it came to clog your arteries and kill you peacefully in your sleep

        • +1

how can they blacklist your phone unless they record the IMEI (which i don't think many apps do).. afaik it's based on your phone number and email address

          • @x x: I think it was the IMEI, or another way of identifying the device. There's quite a few ways to do so.

The two devices affected were used with multiple accounts previously, with the November deals. They would return an error code when trying to sign into any account, even if the app data was wiped.

Same accounts worked on another device.

When I looked up the error code, I found a discussion in a forum statinf that code means the device is blacklisted, which matched my experience.

          • +3

@x x: Phones have a device ID that is generated when you first set them up. Apps can use it to track a device across accounts. Apps can also keep histories of logged in accounts on a single device within the app data.

    • Is it for a party or a freezer?

      • hangry

        • stare from now and 3 day meals sorted

      • Clearly it's for another Trump party

  • +4

Its technically correct but does any one else giggle when they see McD's called a restaurant?

    • Yes

    • What else would it be called

      • +3

McDonald’s Fast Food Feedery (but, alas, that’s quite the mouthful)

        • +1

its not 'Fast Food', but 'Good Food Quickly'

    • hey! get a room you two! it's a FAMILY missile silo

  • Are these any good haven't been to McDonald's for years?

    • +3

If they were any good they would never be discounted

      • +1

        Yes that sounds right :)

    • +2

Think of a large chicken nugget in bread. It's ok..

      • So bugger all real chicken.

  • 2 days of waiting? WTFowl?

  • +1

The only time I will enter a maccas resturant.

  • +1

how much a mcchicken should worth these days

  • They can keep it. Its McCrap.

  • +1

Poor man's chicken burger, but I guess that makes me poor as I'll buy.

    • +1

eat this everyday and you be rich

  • Not available

  • +1

How do we know what's a participating store?

    • Look for a big M outside, often described as the "Golden Arches".

The Golden Arches are the symbol of McDonald's, the global fast food restaurant chain. Originally, real arches were part of the restaurant design. They were incorporated into the chain's logo in 1962, which resembled a stylized restaurant, and in the current Golden Arches logo, introduced 1968, resembling an "M" for "McDonald's". They are widely regarded to be one of the most recognizable logos in the world.

Tried a McChicken for the first time earlier this year.

Was dry and the chicken was gross. Will pass even at the $1 price.

KFC heaps better for chicken burgers.

    • +3

Agreed, very recently tried both Zinger burger & McChicken. KFC has actual chicken breast fillet whilst McChicken is just a patty made up of all sorts. However, for $1 - I'll suck it in.

  • +1

can't remember last time I had my $2 big mac deal

    • +3

Probably in November last year in the 30 days, 30 deals promotion.

  • Shrinkflation has made the McChicken paddy inedible. I don't recon they are worth a dollar anymore. I'd have them if they were free only.

  • Also have a deal for $1 large fries. Lunch sorted for $2, thanks OP

    • Can only redeem 1 deal at once though

      • +1

Yeh but if a pain doing seperate orders but can't pass up a deal like that

  • +1

Few chooks lining up for this one today.
    Thanks OP

  • +3

the burger consists of a 100 per cent Australian RSPCA Approved chicken breast

Seriously? Or 50% chicken that is 100% RSPCA Approved chicken breast?

    • Main thing: HH King Charlie is not hurt by the killing!

  • +1

Put my order in at 1030 on the dot (promo start time) at 44 Hindley Street, Adelaide. Saw a few others orders come up on the staff screen after mine for a single McChicken also :D

  • +2

Little taste of November right here in April

  • +1

    Save the planet: Stop cooking!

    • +2

The planet will be fine. The chickens… not so much

  • +1

As stated on previous Maccas app deals, I'll never use the app again. If neither their stores nor their online app support team can keep track of payments that have been made, I'm out. It should never take a month and many emails and phone calls to get your money back (only in vouchers) when an order goes wrong. And if you can't find a payment when it clearly hit my bank account and went through (not pending) you don't belong in business.

    • I think your buns might be too tight — try gently steaming them

      • +2

I think a company that takes my money but keeps no record of it can stay away from my buns and go pound sand.

        • They 100 percent have a record of it. It's just that dealing with a large company has crap experiences like this

          • @coffeeinmyveins: Both the store and the app support line claimed they could find no record of it. I don't doubt there are records somewhere within their corporation because my bank sure had records. But the fact that their staff didn't want to help and were happy for a customer to have paid without receiving goods tells me all I need to know about whether I should trust their app.

  • +1

Is the app not working for others too?

    • Yep 😒

    • Working here.

    • Have a bit of problem and finally working, may because of Telstra down.

  • +1

    Just finished eating 2

    • Any good :)

      • +2

I was hungry so tasted ok

        • Would you eat a 3rd one?
