[QLD, NSW, VIC] Panlos Lunatic Hospital Building Blocks $250 Delivered (to Non-Rural Areas/ $0 SYD C&C) @ Twinkle Glory

150

Ordered this two weeks ago, arrived today and having a blast. 7500 pieces, part quality is excellent, very tight fitting, definitely not for small kid hands. $300 on AliExpress. Was sceptical, but not willing to pay Lego prices, this is definitely on par in terms of brick quality and built details.

    Whaaat!?

Is this for peeps pining for their time in a Rehab clinic?

NVM seems it is Arkham Asylum part of the Batman universe

  • Pretty sure this lego knockoff, even with MOC is banned here.

Why is that? I thought Lego parents expired a long time ago?

Also what does MOC stand for?

      • MOC = My Own Creation, essentially it is whenever someone makes something with lego that is not a specific created set.

Yes, Lego’s patents on general “construction bricks” have expired. But Lego still owns the rights to the new custom pieces it designs (eg clip pieces, plant pieces, minifigures accessories, etc). This set clearly uses such pieces.

Other construction brick brands like Megabloks design their own custom pieces and not rip off Lego’s.

Lego parents will always love their kids, no matter what people tell you

      • You're thinking of Batman's parents, they expired a long time ago

There's Lego quality and there's "I should probably wash all these bricks, that oily residue can't be good for me" quality you find on Aliexpress and other such sites such as above.

But it's not about the bricks, it's about the designs, which are 100% ripped off from the community or Lego itself.

  • Not very PC…

    Fake Lego. Yuck.

    • head over to ozbillionaire.com.au for the real lego mate.

  • Nice. I kind of like the other sets there too. Interesting designs.
I'd get one or more if I wasn't one bill away from being bankrupt.

Its basically just an expansion on the retired Lego set 10937 Batman: Arkham Asylum Breakout - https://brickset.com/sets/10937-1/Batman-Arkham-Asylum-Break…. Same pillar designs and colour scheme.

Most of the designs they have are based on fan MOCs. They basically ripped off the design and packaged for sale, similar to Lego bricklink sets actually….

  • Bit too close to home for a lot of OzB regulars….

  • How do y'all display these large sets (do you dust them every 2-3 days)? I assume they can get pretty dusty

    • I guess I should just accept the fact that y'all has now entered the Australian vernacular…
