Some what buyers remorse..
Sonos arc although supports Dolby TrueHD + Atmos.. it doesn't work with my 2022 Sony A80K because the TV doesnt passthrough TrueHD+Atmos to the soundbar.
Alternative is to connect the source device (NVIDIA shield, Ps5 etc) to the soundbar via HDMI (to get TrueHD and Atmos audio) and then soundbar to TV (for video). But since the Sonos arc only has one HDMI port this isn't possible!
Upgraded from the sonos playbar, been a long term Sonos fan boy! Was hoping i would be able to get Atmos on my new 4k OLED with the arc.. But I don't think this is possible.
Time for a new TV mate!
Super happy with my two Era 300s as surrounds to my Arc and Sub. They kick the arse off the two Ones I was using. Very happy camper.
Yeh same here! I thought Ones were good as normal speakers but never as a rear surround. Shame the centre tweeter not active in a home theatre setup in 300s, even with spatial audio.
Couldn't be much happier than jumping on this. Picked up an Arc, Sub Mini and 2x Era300. To say it's transformed our home cinema (coming from a single Beam Gen 1) is an understatement. All up it was in the vicinity of a $1500 saving.
