Pretty decent shaving oil. I've found it useful for when travelling - light and small. Works best after you've showered.

I've tried other shaving oils but found them to be quite greasy compared to this one. At $250 per 1l it's more expensive than champagne. But I've found the small bottles last quite a while, maybe not quite the 75 shaves it claims but it's decent enough.

I miss the old disposable bottles they had. I've been using this new refillable one for maybe a year now and it has recently developed a rancid smell. Turns out at least in my bottle, oil accumulates in the gap under the head and gunks up. I had to scoop it out to clean it. The oil still smells off though, maybe there's some old oil remaining as I refill it before it goes empty.

The old bottles take up less room too.

  • What's this for?

It's for shaving, like shaving cream/gel. It's slicker and takes up less space when travelling.

      • I use electric and mine aren't thick at all. I do feel the burn sometimes after shave but not always. Any point of getting this?

        • Mmm, I've never tried it with an electric shaver. King of Shaves recommends wet shaving instead, but if you want to stick to electric, they suggest a few drops of oil first.

  • This stuff is pretty good, I like to use it under shaving cream. Too much lubrication is rarely a bad thing. Don't need much, lasts ages.

  • i just brush on the shave lather with a brush and shave …..soap / lather is a lubricant .

  • So how does this compare to shaving gel? I find even shaving cream causes razor burn for me.
