    Wow high amount of carbs in that protein powder sure it's a blend but 6.9 grams per serve

        winter bulk/hibernation

      It's got a lot of just straight Whole and Skim milk powder in it, which is where I assume the carbs are coming from. These are the ingredients Musashi High Protein Blend (93%) [Whey Protein Concentrate (Milk), Whole Milk Powder, Pea Protein Isolate, Skim Milk Powder, Whey Protein Isolate (Milk), Emulsifiers (Soy Lecithin, Sunflower Lecithin)], Dextrose, Flavours, Vegetable Gum (Guar Gum), Enzyme (0.3%) (Papain), Sweetener (Sucralose).

      • Yup, its quite a low quality protein product, then again most Mushashi products are these days sadly. But they have so many people still buying them without really doing the maths on the ingredients and quality vs price etc.

        • what would you recommend?

  • +6

    20 Serves -> 45g per serve
    30g Protein / 45 g (per serve)-> 66.67% Protein

  • Is this the cheapest protein has been in a while??

    • Yes this is the cheapest I've seen it. Can't go wrong for 30 bucks.

    • I usually pick this up from the store in a 1kg bag for $47. 32 serves at 24.5g pure whey but the 500g bag doesn’t seem the best value.

      Still pretty expensive. Often you can get other brands for about $25 per kg

    • Mushashi 2Kg variety from Chemist warehouse goes for $58 time and again.

      Probably not Wimothy Jongingtons. If you want him beefier, feed him beef.

  • What’s the best flavour?

      I prefer the chocolate flavour

    Is this vegetarian protein or has animal meat etc. I don’t mind milk.

      You can click on the link and read the ingredients.

      • I was at the store. Read contents but wasn’t sure about some cryptic ingredients so asked. Anyways, I think it may not have animal fats, gelatine or bones so could be suitable for vegetarian. Too many negs for asking .. it’s a funny place. Thanks anyways.

        • +1

          Didn't neg you btw. But if it had gelatin etc in it I think they'd have to list it in the ingredients. Quite sure it's suitable for vegetarians otherwise there are plant based protein powders that you can also buy from Woolies such as these which are all on sale at half price at the moment.

  • What's the expiry?

  • The government should use Musashi powder to measure true inflation lol. Makes me sad I used to buy it for $52 or $25.50 on special

    • Used to be on special every two weeks at chemist warehouse also! Now over 100bucks "normal" price.

  • Just an FYI the Shread & Burn has caffeine in it. I’m enjoying it, quite tasty but a little sweet but would recommend
