Lenovo Smart White Bulb B22/E27 White $5 + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ JB Hi-Fi

210

Managed to grab 5 of the 2022 ones but they are unavailable now. Depending on where you are you might get lucky and grab a few. Not the brightest but would be good for bedrooms and bathrooms.

These are the worst, bought two, doesn't work properly.

    • They were a pain in the ass to set up because the lenovo app didn't work. Ended up using a different app to set it up and they work great imo

      • Which app?

        • +2

That other app, you know, the one.

        • Smart home or smart life or something. I haven't used it since I set up the light so don't have the app anymore to check the name

          • @nicholasv: Smart things maybe? That's the Samsung one. I think.

            • @BadGiraffe: I'm pretty sure I downloaded it from Google play store, so don't think it was the Samsung one. But that would probably work too!

@nicholasv: Comedy Gold 🤣 I am in tears.

On a serious note, that narrows it down a lot, especially if you are an iOS user

        • Tuya is the app you want, they are the ones that made the platform and everyone just copies and puts a skin over the top of it. I use Tuya with these and then have that piggyback off homebridge on a Pi so it works with home, they provide proper access to play with the app which is good.

          • @doobey1231: Ah, yes! I remember now! I was looking into that when I was checking out new fans at Bunnings. Was trying to figure out whu h would be best for home automation.

Didn't get the fans in the end though.

    Kogan app works

    • +3

In that case, "Tuya Smart Life" should work as Kogan devices are Tuya based.

  • Unavailable within 200km of your entered location.

  • no stock within 20km

  • Minimum 1400 lumens at around 3000-4000 kelvin. Anything else will look like shht. (based on your bedrooms and bathrooms comment)

Only location with stock remaining is Warringah Mall JB FYI

    • Pacific Fair apparently

      • Pacific fair had one remaining last night when I checked. Warringah Mall had a whole stack remaining though.

  • I’ve got a box full of these. Upgraded to zigbee. Much better

I wouldn't bother wasting my $5, they periodically disconnect resulting in the colour temperature changing and flashing annoyingly

    • +1

Sounds like they are losing connection with your wifi.

    • That's your network then

  • Got one of these as part of a bundle. For the amount of time getting it set up I ended up just binning it.

  • I bought a stack of these previously when they were clearing out the older revision, attempted to flash to Tasmota but they have fixed the WEP exploit now for wireless softmod so they are sitting in the box still. The biggest issue with using them as the manufacturer intended is that they lose their brains as soon as you accidentally turn off the wall switch.

    Avoid.
