Note that if you cough, you will not be allowed entry…

How dare they not want any flu like symptoms participating an event that a lot of pregnant women and newborns will attend.

      • Hi Dan…

        • Joke is on you. His name is Joel.

The fact you are implying there is anything wrong with protecting pregnant women and babies from infectious diseases shows all anyone needs to know about you.

          • @teach86: Yet they’ll let asymptotic covid people in…. Go figure…

            • @jv: So are you advocating for RAT testing at the door, or maybe mandatory wearing of a digital badge which displays live COVID status based on constant monitoring of a person’s systems?

I’m not sure I understand the point you’re actually trying to make here. Other than you’re a bit of a jerk. But you’ve already made that clear historically in about 85% of your comments.

              • @teach86:

So are you advocating for RAT testing at the door

                No

              • @teach86:

Other than you’re a bit of a jerk.

Someone who coughs isn't necessarily going to be a health concern to others, the only jerks would be those overreacting and discriminating against people at the entry and those who support it.

  • Also note that by entering, you consent for them to take pictures and/or videos of you an your children and they or their exhibitors can use them for promotional purposes.

      Same with ozbargain meetups

    • Where are we noting this?

      • Who is noting?

        • More importantly, why are we noting something that is quite common for public events?

          • @thefud:

is quite common for public events?

Because many people may not know this and not want their kids in a promotional video.

It is illegal to do this unless you are told before hand and agree to it, so they hide it in the T&Cs.

            • @jv: Can you please note the relevant legislation, as far as I understand, there is no right to privacy that forbids people from taking a person’s photograph whilst on public property and in fact, as long as you don't obscure a camera in a public place, you don't even need permission to do so or indicate that you have recorded them.

              • @thefud:

Can you please note the relevant legislation

Yes, that would definitely be possible.

                • @jv: Nice of you to ask me to note something but don't have the common decency to help me understand what you are asking me to note.

              • @thefud:

no right to privacy that forbids people from taking a person’s photograph whilst on public property

There is for using it commercially.

Looks like the code is also valid for the Sydney expo on 2-4 June: https://www.pbcexpo.com.au/promo/sydney-expo

Tbh it should be free with the amount of advertising and spam you get leading up to, during and after the event

Ticketing gives the impression that it's limited entry and exclusive.

They gave out "free" tickets many years ago

Agree, should be free. I was not impressed when they started charging.

  • Don't ever go on the Saturday, wait for the free coupon for the Sunday, seems standard fair
