Great idea. I just bought 50 and plan to set them up from my bed to the fridge. Will save me having to walk to the fridge.
You might ask why 50? Well I have to set them up in parallel so I have one for each foot as I weigh 180kg.
You can probably use half as many if you space them a meter apart and run them at double speed.
Employees can hop at the end of each treadmill, and the momentum will carry them along to the next one.

The width is very narrow - and the photos for scale are highly misleading to make it look like it's wider than it really is. It would be incredibly uncomfortable walking on it. Friction burns from your thighs rubbing together (unless you have anti chafe clothing, but even then it's really uncomfortable).
If you misstep or get momentarily distracted you could easily injure yourself as your foot wouldn't have much area to land on. And no handrails.
