These do not comply with Australian standards, you may not be covered by insurance.

    • Yep - this is certainly NOT an approved product.

It appears that it does not have insulated pins (insulating the Active and Neutral pins of the plug) to meet Australian Standards AS/NZS3112:2000 & AS/NZS3112:2004.

$1 on e-bay with insulated pins.

Also I wouldn't trust a $3 dimmer switch, cheap resistors get hot. Just my opinion.

      Just bought a couple…thanks.

I have some slimming tea I think you'll be interested in - and some wrist bands with holograms on them.

And I've heard about this new investment scheme by someone called Ponzi…

        • Got the tea, got the wristbands, but tell me about this Ponzi guy…

With all seriousness, this is waiting for a disaster to happen. I would strongly recommend NOT to buy this "device".

o.o is that switch a stepdwon converter?

    Woo! 1…2…3..KABOOM!…..
Can't see this downconverting voltages OR adjusting the frequency down to 50Hz….

"This unit converts your products electrical connection, not the electrical current itself"
Not sure how it can be advertised as suitable for Australian and American outlets when they both have different AC supplies. And yeah, I also figure if your lamp was designed to be dimmed, it would sport its own dimmer dial.

As an aside, has anyone purchased from this site before? How was the overall experience?

  • I bought an all-in-one card reader last year, not bad at all.

Good, cheap way to start a house fire.

  • If anyone is at all compelled by some of the specs on the phone highlighted, which in some respects are pretty flash for a cheap dual sim jobby, keep in mind the low internal memory for apps - which in practice will be much lower than 512MB - and the complete lack of reference to the Google Play store, which almost certainly means it's absent altogether.
