Might buy one to claim on tax

@MaxDirect are you providing a tax invoice with GST

    • +1

      Yes, we do.

Not bad for someone seeking a small laptop (especially with a full function USB-C port) but man those screen bezels are bigger than my future

  • Does it come with the pen?

    • "Power adapter and stylus pen are come with the laptop."

I used a laptop with an M3-7Y30 processor for years and loved it. A lot of modern websites will get bogged down on a processor like this tho. I had to move on to a new laptop. Pity, I don't like upgrading just for the sake of it, but it was time.

      • I don't know, I was using a pretty light weight linux distro on it and mainly browsing the web. I suspect it'd feel sluggish even with those things running under Windows, but that's just a guess.

      • Hi Wi,

This laptop has nvme ssd, which can run word, Excel at a good speed.

  • why does this resolution 1366x768, still exits on laptops 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♂️

    • I hope it is full HD as well. The only benefit I think is battery might last a little bit longer.

  • Is the power brick 12v output or does it use the usb c port?

  • +2

It use ThinkPad 45W AC Adapter Slim Tip, not usb-c port.

  • will these be ok for Netflix, Youtube and other streaming services?

    • Thinking the same. Looking at buying something cheap for my mother as she uses her old tablet for the same thing and email. Edit: Will pass, 1.5kg way too heavy; 7th gen processor, too old; 1Ghz processor, too slow.

    • Hi Jayewyld, it will be ok with these services.

  • Any recommendation on similar models below $300 with 1080p instead? Touch screen is not necessary but would not like a faulty screen. Only intended to take for occasional travel for work on Chrome and Zoom meetings

  • How would this be for using for music practice? Would sit on stand and display my notes in a Notion database. And/or playing along to youtube/sheet music?

Otherwise would mostly use for browsing/reading on couch/out, and maybe watching youtube while cooking.

    • Hi Joe,

This laptop has basic Dolby® Audio. Sound quality is acceptable but not great. Max volume level is sufficient. You can choose to use a external speaker if need.

  • I picked one of these up and it arrived with a generic user account setup as opposed to the setup screen. I tried to do a factory wipe and it says "there is no recovery environment".

Anyway I can address this. I like to pretend like I am being somewhat safe.
