  • would JBHIFI match this price?

  • Any idea of how long it would take them to ship the lava module? Trying to get the answer from Roborock AU, but got no reply so far (which does not inspire confidence, given that we just bought a $2k kit from them).
I'd like to do the installation once for the thing and then handover to the wife and move over with the next exciting large purchase seen on OzBargain…what will that be?

    • Its pretty crap did you get an email to say they have received request or anything?

      • Got an email right after submission stating that they've "received your submission and are currently getting it ready to be shipped to you". That's all.
Sent emails inquiring, tried to call the number on the AU website and waited in the chat for ~15 mins.
The chat actually yielded some results, as a few hours later I received an email asking what was the query. Waiting on that now.
Not overly concerned, but somewhat disappointing given that Roborock is not anymore a low-price contender in the market, but an established name. I'd have expected proper CS.

On the bright side, installed the thing and it is fantastic. First robot we can trust to be used daily for both vac and mop.

        • I submitted mine and i got a message on next page saying they be in touch soon. But no email or anything. I resubmitted today just incase.

Has it gotten stuck yet not avoiding obstacles?

          • @Jklaro: Didn't get stuck, but ended up dragging a bit an extension cord that, funnily enough, correctly identified moments prior. However, this did not cause any problems and it kept going fine.
Anything else it did see and avoid and didn't drag light and small stuff around as the older one (relying on a bumper and a few IR sensors) did. You still need to do a bit of cleanup and remove thin cables, drapes reaching the floor, etc, but is much more forgiving than our previous robot (an Ecovac with lidar) and does not drag stuff around the house. All in all, less than 5 mins of work to prepare the place and let it run for however long it will take and we come back to a clean floor.

Corners and room edges are still a weak point, especially for mopping, but the fact that we can actually see that the edges are less clean than the middle of the room is testament of how good it mops. We'll just do an aggressive pass on the edges with the mop from time to time.
Now I'd like the Lava module for peace of mind, as a smelly mop would certainly detract from the experience (not that it became smelly, as of yet).

            • @stampella: Thankyou very much for detailed explanation. I have the roborock s50 and got this delivered the other day but still in the box making sure im happy to $2000 spend on. Obstacle avoidance is massive reason for me.

        • +1

Lava module just shipped. My purchase date was before the promo period but looks like they accepted the claim anyway which is nice!

This vacuum cleaner is amazing, best tech purchase in years.

        • Any news on the dryer?

          • @Jklaro: Got an email yesterday stating that they got a higher than expected number of redemptions and they had just shipped the dryer.
Later in the day I also got a notification from AusPost as indicated below. Guess it's coming next week :)
Let me know if further updates are needed and I'll see to provide one after installation and first test.

            • @stampella: So strange no emails on updates about the dryer but got email from aus post 360 international trading so i think they sent it.

Checked junk mail found it in there.

            • @stampella: How many days after the confirmation email?

              • @nnaa8287: @nnaa8287 Submitted I think on the 8th, confirmation email received on the 19th and less than a week after got the lava module.
If you submitted the request within the valid period do email [email protected] and [email protected] quoting your redemption number.
The lava module does seem to work for us.

                • @stampella: thanks let me check

                • @stampella: email sent to both alias and just a got notification from AUSPost for an expected delivery from APG eCommerce Solutions c/o CT Freight. I hope it's the Lava

    • +1

i assume the tracking detail i got is the Lava module, its coming from 360 INTERNATIONAL TRADING PTY LTD

      • I came here to ask the same thing.

      • I got the same notification. That is awesome, I submitted my invoice which was outside the dates and it looks like they accepted it.

        • Lava module arrived today.

          • @pranksta: When did you submitted the request and how long it took to arrive?

  • Will I be able to pay with a gift card? Or will it give me the error that only 1 voucher is allowed and take off the HGMAY coupon?

  • Tried this and it works. You can pay using gift cards whilst still using both the codes.
