      S7 max has mop cleaning ability.

      Base S8 doesn’t.

      Performance wise, these are all top of class, from even the base S7. But realistically, you’ll probably get away with cleaning the vacuum head a little less due to the double roller technology?

      Otherwise yeah really not much… from my research

      Very happy with mine too. Scheduled it to do the kitchen and dining area every couple of nights as that’s the areas that get the most use and once a week around the whole house. Saves us a lot of time.
      Love just being able to send it off to do spot cleans in targeted areas too.

          Depends what it is. It doesn't do well with charging cables for example, it spots the cable and tries to go around it, but it seems to make a circle around it. So if it's strung out long, it will avoid the cable but then do a circle around it and run over it.
          Shoes or powerboards seem to show up well and it'll avoid them fine. Don't have a pet but looking at the YouTube review tests it seems to avoid poop for them haha.

          To be honest I just go around and tidy up the floor of those things before I run it, a couple of minutes at most and then I can set it on it's way and do other things with my time!

      Don't own one myself (yet) but Roborock are pretty much the Rolls Royce of robot vacuums, you cant go wrong with them.

    I saw some reviews on these that said the mops get smelly without the dryer

      No, you need to buy dryer module separately, $250 from Roborock but you can buy one from marketplace around $100

          I just bought the vacuum and checked marketplace - found one listing for 100 bucks and snapped it up. This saved me 150 so stoked. All up the unit will be 2 grand and these were going for at best around the 2600 mark with the dryer prior to the S8. Even at 250 for the attachment you're doing very well I think.

    We have this and it’s great if you have mix carpet and hard floors (like we do).

    It rarely ever gets stuck and cleans our whole house. It is able to do so by coming back to the dock to release dust, clean mop, and charge, midway before heading out again.

    I definitely vouch for it.

    Ive had the Roomba 980, Roomba i7+ and now the Roborock s7 Ultra with the dryer attachment. To date the Roborock is the best Ive had so far. I still use the Roomba i7 upstairs but Roborock is working hard with two cats, and 1 toddler I've been impressed with its reliability, functional app and fairly low maintenance. I've not replaced any parts yet and ive had it for almost 12 months. Roborock have exceeded my expectations whereas Roomba as the O.Gs have been left for dead.

      Thanks, I've always wondered how Roomba compares, people talk a lot of shit on it because it's "you can get a Xiaomi for 1/4 the price with more features", but then look at the comments section on a Xiaomi robovac deal lol…

      I had an old school Roomba and it was great, really good quality. Was wondering can Roborock compare. Will definitely go Roborock when I finally replace my Roomba.

    Bit of a niche recommendation but if you have access to taobao the dreame s10 pro has better mopping and is half the price with all the same functionality plus it’s designed so you can add disinfectant to the mop water tank.

      I've seen a lot of negative comments on the Dreames, rarely see bad comments about Roborocks, I think there's a reason you pay the extra $$$. Personally I have neither though, so I can't talk.

        I have a roborock s6 maxv and a dreame s10 pro and there’s really nothing between them tbh. I wouldn’t pay twice the money for a roborock. Especially not when the difference is almost a grand.
