I think at the time I posted there were less helpful comments. This was the comment I was referring to. It added no value at all.
"Only on OzBargain could buying absolute crap for $60 because the "lowest price in other stores is $199" be applauded as intelligent."
But comments such as these are more helpful and I actually look for comments like this when I'm on the fence about something.
"I've been using the "Mizu" for the past few years as a regular. Still an upgrade and gives you that small "wow" factor when you upgrade from something that's Kmart. Sharpness will need to maintain quite frequently thou, probably bring out that whetstone every couple of months. Still a great price for the knives. If you have $1k+ to spend then I suggest you go with "Shun"."
"This uses 420j2 steel, quick google shows that this is the lowest tier steel when used for cooking due to low sharpness retention and wear resistant. Probably the same quality as kitchen knives from Kmart."
